I contacted and retained Jeremy with The Love DuCote law firm as my attorney. I was going through a divorce and facing a Protective Order against me , yet myself having been the one that was assaulted by my wife at the time. She was actually arrested and charged with Family Violence with Bodily injury Misdemeanor.
When I explain my situation, he knew right away how we were going to fight this. He was able to get the protective order against me denied and granted divorce-disposed. I was being falsely accused and the protective order could have jeopardized many things for me, yet he helped my fight back resulting in a great outcome. I couldn’t have done it without the help of Jeremy and his staff, they updated me promptly with any information I needed and were with me every step of the way. Mr. Ducote was my court appointed attorney. I went into his office very emotional because I was being sued by my ex-husband. I knew that I couldn’t afford a lawyer of his caliber but Mr. Ducote took the time to listen to my ramblings and reassured me that I would be ok. In the end, I didn’t go to court because Mr. Ducote convinced my ex to drop the case. He and everyone in his office were very professional and always treated me with respect. He was a blessing.

I had a great experience with Roland Barbosa representing me in my divorce. It's never a pleasant experience to go through the legal process of divorce, but Roland made it simple and straightforward and provided numerous updates (and answers to my several questions) as I waited for the (long and slow) Dallas County courts to sign the paperwork that had been sitting on their docket for over 2 weeks. An uncontested, amicable divorce should be easy, and despite the draconian Texas laws, Roland helped make the process as easy as it could be. When the divorce decree was finally signed, he gave me an update even before the electronic system registered a change in the case. His fee is straightforward, and he provided all the paperwork we needed for all the potential steps in the case, from initial questionnaire to final filing and special warranty deed for the transfer of the home. I would highly recommend Roland to anyone seeking a streamlined process to divorce in the DFW area.

Had a phone consult with Mr. Guest on how to proceed in a criminal citation w/a prior conviction. He laid out a few different options I could take with or without his legal assistance. He was thoughtful in the advice he gave and did not pressure me any direction I decided to take. He genuinely cared about the resolution of the case. Because of his consult I enlisted his services to handle this matter and would recommend him for any one else dealing with a possible criminal situation. Especially if it involves complexities.

I went through an eviction process in JP Court and represented myself, (I am the Landlord). I was successful, ( I thought), and judgement was granted in my favor. Instead of moving out, tenant filed an appeal, to have the case re-tried in County Court. Tenant claimed COVID protections, CARES Act protections, among many other things, and was successful in getting an appeal granted. I learned real quick that because of the times we were currently experiencing, that this was going to be a complicated, uphill battle.
I hired the Guest and Gray Law Firm to take this matter over. Scott Gray was great at getting this case together and ready for court. Robert Guest took it before the Judge and tried the case. What had been a months long horrible situation for me, was finally over, when these guys got the case before the Judge. Judgement was awarded in my favor and tenant had to vacate. These people are great, charged an extremely fair price, and did an outstanding job. Getting a case like this before a judge during these difficult times is a huge task. Getting a positive verdict even more so. Thank you Scott and Robert!

Courtney went above and beyond to help my son with his child visitation case. She came in on her day off , during pandemic when the opposing counsel pulled a shady court order. She immediately handled the situation and with good results. My son's case was a tough case and ended with good results without even having to go to trial. She is worth every penny and then some. When I made the decision to modify custody for my daughter I knew it was going to take a GREAT attorney to make it happen. I was told Courtney Hull was the woman I wanted, and boy was that information correct! Having been and still presiding as a Judge, Michele brings a unique perspective that most attorneys cannot provide. She is direct, succinct and concise in her delivery in the court room which makes her a force to be reckoned with. And when you hire Michele, you are not hiring JUST Michele...you are also gaining the knowledge and capabilities of her amazing paralegal, Juan Diaz. The two of them make THE MOST PERFECT TEAM! I read so many reviews before I hired Ms. Locke and so many referred to Juan and how integral he is to the process. I had NO IDEA how spot on those reviews were until I hired Michele. Hiring Steve Epstein to help me with the many issues that I was facing regarding a very complicated and messy divorce that included a wide array of valuable assets-- a very successful company, multiple homes, expensive cars, dozens of accounts of all types, in addition to his help in regards to custody, a DWI case, being in a 5 week coma, and steering me out of significant life or death substance abuse issues, was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I was in a custody battle for my children for a year and a half. Nothing was happening with the lawyers I was using and they were very expensive. I hired Kristy Hanson to take over very late in the proceedings, I was nervous it might be too late to change lawyers but I needed someone to fight for my children, too much was at stake. Kristy jumped right in, she understood the situation, she was available when we needed her, and returned calls promptly even after business hours. Took the time to explain everything. She formed a plan and carried it out. With the previous lawyers I had to constantly check in on them, give them ideas, I felt like I had to tell them everything they should be doing. The only thing you could count on them doing is sending you the bill every month with a follow up call to pay promptly. Kristy was the opposite. She would call me with updates and strategies. In a few short months after I hired her she turned everything around and I got full custody! Kristy is knowledgeable, level headed, she can be as tough as she needs to be and expertly knows how to handle judges and other lawyers. I honestly feel she fought for my children like she was fighting for her own children. Cherry on top, she was significantly less than my previous lawyer. I would highly recommend her.

It was a year ago my husband and I both frantic and emotionally fragile made an appointment with Kristin after finding her profile in superlawyers. Our situation we knew was going to be challenging because we are Grandparents and our daughter had left her husband for another man and took the children. I had a frivolous charge against me, by a coworker who was notorious for assaulting peers. On the verge of being fired from his job for frequent assaults, and in an effort to save his job, the coworker filed 'unwanted touching' charge against me, as I pushed him away during an assault.
The Richland police were unhelpful, unwilling to accept facts, or even call our boss or other coworkers who would confirm the situation.
The prosecutor was unwilling to investigate.

I can't begin to put into words how lucky I feel to have been represented by Ashley Smith in my divorce and custody case. Ashley cares about her clients and during what was easily the scariest and most difficult time in my life, I was able to focus on what mattered, protecting my 7 yr old daughter, myself, work, and keeping a straight head knowing I had Ashley on my side to quickly navigate and provide outstanding advise during a chaotic time. She believed in me and was always available and immediately got back to me the numerous times I had to contact her. I was prepared most importantly for the 2 times we had to go in front of a judge and was calm on the stand because I listened to Ashley's advise. Unfortunately my case involved addiction and child endangerment. When going through something like this, you almost spend as much time contacting your lawyer as you do speaking to friends and family. I cannot say enough about Ms. Ashley Smith. She is the eye of the storm. The part in the middle that is calm and stable while there is chaos spinning all around. Some of us, like me show up in her office vulnerable, clueless, scared, hopeless the list goes on. Ashley is not your therapist nor is she going to tell you everything will be fine but what she will do is listen, focus, instruct, compile, answer every single question, guide you. She will only reach out if she has to. Be patient because I can assure you she is working thoroughly on your case. I put all of my trust and fate in her hands and it was not easy.
