Meg was recommended to me and handled my contentious protracted divorce. She was extremely responsive and had a special ability to "calm" the emotions and stay focused on the case issues. Dorothy R Fait was my lawyer in an extremely difficult divorce involving child custody. She advised me throughout the process without any issues; very responsive and responsible professional. All my questions and urgent requests were answered immediately, she never made me wait - which is a very important factor in high conflict cases. She paid a lot of attention to details and brought out important facts in the argument, without getting into petty exchanges.
She protected mine and my children's interest, and thanks to her I have an exceptionally detailed settlement agreement and a court order that covers all aspects of our life to prevent any possible issues.

I hired Phil McCurdy to represent me after Firing my previous attorney, two years into a lawsuit. My previous attorney acted in a way that would make you think he was working for the other side. I was injured in an auto accident when a truck hit me from behind and caused my vehicle to overturn. I got in touch with Attorney Ray based on his reviews and that little voice inside us all. I had a very ugly divorce that most other attorneys were afraid to take on, Attorney Ray went to work and got my ugly divorce done in short order, against a tough opposing attorney. Ms. Fortunately was truly a Godsend! I was at a low point in my marriage and NEEDED out! I was concerned because my now ex husband was incarcerated and I didn’t k ow where to begin. I saw a billboard one day while heading to Atlanta and I sent an email to Ms. Fortin and that is where the magic began. It took 5 months from start to finish ONLY because my ex was dragging his feet about signing the papers. A friend referred me to Dominic J. I had spent several months contacting about 42 divorce lawyers in the Colorado Springs area, but I finally decided to go with Marrison Family Law because of my friend’s recommendation.
Mr. Perrino did not disappoint — far from it, and he came up with strategies for me that solved seemingly impossible problems, saved me tens of thousands of dollars, and was able to assist me in negotiating a divorce settlement that made the difference between walking away with enough to start my life over or ending up in a protracted fight and financially catastrophic outcome which is the likely fate I was facing.

I interviewed several lawyers and all were great, however what set Shana apart from the rest is she understood my case and fears and showed she wanted to help me protect my children. She knew that my children were my priority and she never lost sight of that.
Together we accomplished my goal at 110%. Her team she has behind her is responsive and very well orginized and never delayed a filing or delivery of documents to me and communicated the opposing sides responses to me immediatly.
I filded just before covid lock down of 12/2019 so this took a bit longer than she had said it would--court being shut down, this was not something she could foresee, regardless we still worked on bulding our case and getting all documents shared--she used the time of shut down to orginize and stratigize my case.

Shana Vitek ad. her team represented me in finalizing my divorce. Due to Covid, the Cook County courts appearances were all conducted via Zoom.

First of all, I want to shout out a huge THANK YOU to Mr. Joshua Barreda and his wonderful staff for all of their support and professionalism! Josh, the day finally came for us and it was worth every tear and all the ups and downs of this extremely life changing case!
Mr. Barreda took our case on behalf of my daughter and our precious, innocent grandson. Upon our first consultation, Josh took the challenge of this unique , and complex case . We had been advised prior by family court attorneys that this case could not be done and we would have very little chance of winning.
My grandson needed an advocate on his behalf to keep him safe, physically and emotionally, from an absent parent that abandoned him since birth, due to the arrest and criminal charges and a lengthy and prolonged 6 yr criminal trial with his co-defendant.
We filed a private severance case and due to the other party's excuse/ argument, it set the case as a precedence. If won by opposing party, it would have altered past and future cases for the worst, including adoptions.
During the lengthy trial we united and prevailed as a family in prayer and support and Josh stood strong by our side during this difficult time. He was amazing and we knew he would do everything he could. Josh, did an excellent job in providing exceptional and applicable case text to support the written argument as well as applying it to tear down the defendants defense arguments. Many false allegations and weak excuses by the defendant were brought to light by Mr. Barreda. Josh, took the matter to heart and he knew the seriousness of this matter and the injustice. He dug deep in the final days and used his knowledge and skills along with his tenacity to WIN on behalf of our family! I can say that we truly believe he saved their lives!
Words cannot express our gratitude. We are so truly grateful to God for sending us Mr. Barreda. I would also like to say this, for those that are fighting against the odds and protecting your children (we were told by many the verdict we received was equivalent to obtaining a death sentence) nothing is impossible!

Divorce is the hardest possible thing I've dealt with especially involving kids. I had taste buds taken off my mouth not wanting to eat due to this matter of divorce to crying that my now ex-wife would let me see my kids.
I left her so she had an avenue which is making my life hard through attorneys to get back. Long story story short I hired a cheap attorney versus not having one worst mistake ever... Hired Andrea she gets to the point divorced in record time. She doesn't play games and plays devils advocate as she knows the system. Best thing she advised to me is that she said to me with ease. When I first called this law office and set up my initial consultation with Michael Peterson for my pending divorce, I was impressed with how professional and straight-to-the-point he was. He asked all of the necessary questions and summarized my situation very quickly. His assistant, Jordyn, was also very efficient with scheduling and ensuring they got me in quickly whenever it was needed. I then hired Michael to help me draft a divorce agreement (i.e. settlement offer). We worked together, in person, to think through all of the angles and ensure that my interests were protected. Michael was very realistic, reasonable, articulate, and easy to work with. As much as I thought working with a lawyer might be a miserable experience, I actually enjoyed hanging out in Michael's office and working with him. In the end, I felt that I received solid guidance from Michael throughout the entire process of the divorce and felt confident, despite all of the uncertainties and "what ifs", that he had helped me get through the divorce as quickly and smoothly as possible. He also made phone calls to other experts / consultants / lawyers for advice related to real estate law, since my divorce involved some complicated issues regarding a home my ex wife and I owned together. Compared with other local attorneys - some of whom wanted over $7,000 right at the start - this law office was extremely reasonable with their rates, billing by the hour with full transparency and printed breakdowns along the way.
