they don’t really communicate with clients well. they won’t tell you anything on the court date, they’ll send an email with the updates. i had to call and ask for them to have the lawyer talk to me. i hired a lawyer bc i live in another state and there was some miscommunication resulting in my court date being moved back a month and a half. i only found out bc i called them to ask for updates. when the second court date came around they got my case dismissed tho!

I paid him $5000. Once he received the money he was MIA more often than not. His receptionist gave one excuse after another and would tell me that I had exceeded "talk time" provided by the retainer although my records indicated otherwise. On the few occasions that I was able to speak with him he claimed he had Covid or RSV. I later heard this was one of his standard excuses.

If you have hired attorneys that meet the Webster dictionary definition, ie: "Attorney " is a person that has a law degree, will not be totally honest, can take your money and not earn it, will put you off until he is ready to talk to you, and/or never study your case to be able to defend you. Mr. Floyd is the only attorney that doesn't fit that definition!! You will be delighted to have Mr. John Floyd in your corner! Not one attorney that I have ever met that would ever return a check that I sent to him, because he said I paid him too much! Wow! That right there should tell you something about his integrity!!!!! He has a very calm demeanor and doesn't stretch the truth even if you don't want to hear it, he will tell you the truth. Call and set up an appointment with him and judge for yourself. You are wasting time and money on any other attorney, just hire the best, Mr. Floyd.

I was arrested for DUI first offense with a refusal of the breath test. As a result, I was facing a six-month administrative license suspension with the possibility of an additional nine months if convicted of the charge. This lengthy suspension would have made it impossible for me to keep my job, as I have an hour-long commute to work. Attorney Newman handled the case expeditiously and achieved an outstanding result. Prior to the administrative license appeal hearing, Attorney Newman worked out a plea deal with the prosecutor to drop the DUI and replace it with a reckless driving charge. On top of this, the prosecutor also agreed to waive the administrative license suspension. While I was facing up to fifteen months without a license, I ended up with only a three-month suspension and no criminal conviction, as long as I agreed to receive a drug and alcohol evaluation. This highly satisfying outcome is a testament to Attorney Newman's first-rate legal skill and long experience. I can't recommend him highly enough.

From the moment I called John’s office I dealt a much needed sense of peace. Being from California and unaware of Idaho or its laws and procedures I was very stressed until Shauny put my mind at ease. I was approved to use a public defender but after talking to Shauny I wanted to talk to John and very glad I did. I hired him immediately and from that moment on I was well informed and confident in the direction we were going. Another lawyer recommended that I contact John on behalf of my brother who had a few criminal charges against him and a pending bench warrant. The alleged charges against my brother were not ones that would be easily reduced or dismissed, so I did not hold out much hope for a great outcome. John is a straight forward, honest lawyer. He told my brother what he needed to do throughout the court appearances. No frivolity and false promises with John. He just gets right to work and knows what he is doing with all his years of experience. Much to my surprise, only 6 months later all of my brother's charges were dismissed!! A blessing! My very close friend made the mistake of a third DWI. He faced felony charges and deportation back to his birth country (he was born in Vietnam, but raised here since he was a toddler). Due to the immense stress of this pending trial, he even suffered physically/medically.
Jack was very compassionate and even took the time to meet my friend/client, his brother, and even me in his office.
