Tory represented me in 2012. I was charged with marijuana in a motorized vehicle and drug paraphernalia in Carver County. Tory was excellent to work with. Knowledgeable, represented me with truth and I could tell he really cared to help me address the case with as little punishment as possible. Tory never blew any smoke at me, never promised any outcomes of the case but that he would just help me as much as possible, which he did. I eventually had the marijuana in a motor vehicle charge dropped and pled guilty to drug paraphernalia. The outcome of the dropped charge was due to Tory's hard work and knowledge. He stuck with me the entire time, never trying to end the case early; always doing what he thought was best for me. Great guy and great representation.

Tory is an excellent lawyer with the experience that military law requires. I was facing a court martial for a bogus charge and once I hired Tory's law firm (GSL Attorneys), the command decided to move forward with an Article 15 instead of a General Court Martial. The Article 15 was dropped, and I was given a Letter of Reprimand after the command failed to prove their case. It was an awesome outcome for a potentially terrible situation.

Scott is a professional and hardworking attorney. He helped me through the stages of a difficult and emotional Child Custody and Chips case. These two cases took place in two townships. I stumbled upon Mr. Michael Garner after exhausting all my options of finding a suitable attorney in Atlanta who could got me out from the evil clutches of my franchisor. I met over 100 attorneys who were willing to represent the franchisor but scared to represent a franchisee. My franchisor has changed their business model and are trying to put individual franchisees out of business or acquire them by using unfair practices. My franchisor started threatening me after being with them over 14 years to close down my business by sending the Sheriff and enforcing the non-compete. Mr. W. Michael Garner was so nice that he looked at my case for no charge and gave his honest opinion which helped me in making a decision. He taught me that business wrong is not always legally wrong. He taught me that the franchisor acts for itself and does not care what happens to the franchisee. He is so mature that he calmed me at all stages of the process where in normal course I would have gone a different direction. He helped me all the way by protecting me from making very costly mistakes which my franchisor was waiting for so that they could have the last laugh. His strategies helped us to save more than $100K and our business. Me, my wife along with our college aged daughter are indebted to him. Without his help we would have gone bankrupt and the American dream would have been shattered.

When an attorney is needed, it's almost always when there is a great deal of doubt, uncertainty, and anxiety. We were fortunate in that we were introduced to Mr. Garner.
After trying to resolve the issue with corporate headquarters on our own with no progress, we hired Mr. Garner. We immediately appreciated Mr. Garners forthright and honest assessment. He answered all questions and concerns in a manner that was professional, courteous, and friendly. His communication style allowed us to feel that he not only understood our legal and financial position, but our emotional position as well. Very empathetic to our situation.
We honestly don't have enough good things to say about Mr. Garner. He returned our phone calls and emails in a timely fashion. We never had to contact him for an update or had to ask a question twice. We feel he was very efficient with his time and fair with his billing.
After working to resolve the issue with corporate, we truly felt we were fighting an uphill battle. At best, we were hoping to see 50% of our investment back, but realistically thinking 30% was the likely outcome.
I don't have the words to explain how it felt when Mr. Garner called to let us know we were going to be receiving 100% of our investment. This was better than we had ever hoped and faster than we could have imagined.
Hopefully you will never need the services of a franchise attorney, but should you find yourself in a situation for which there appears to be no solution, don't waste any time or create more frustration and uncertainty. Contact Mr. Garner immediately. It's a decision you won't regret.

Marcus was amazing. It was embarrassing enough to be dealing with a bankruptcy, but to talk to someone that simply spoke how it was and without judgment was so lovely. Marcus evaluated the situation and gave me options essentially putting the ball in my court and he would help with whichever way I went. There was no pressure to file and just a here it is…what would you like to do. I ended up moving to Colorado and by the time I spoke with Marcus again I needed a lawyer there which he helped me find. More than 20 years ago Michael Colich represented me in a large drug case. Most of my codefendants got very expensive attorneys in Minneapolis area. Mr. Colich handled my case for free. He had promised to do some pro bono work for the courts and when one of my codefendants attorneys called him out on the offer he accepted. After reading a magazine article about Michael Colichs high profile four acquittals in one year (one for murder) and visiting his very prestigious office, I realized why the other attorneys wanted him on the team. I ended up pleading guilty and got only 3 years for a crime that under the Federal Drug Sentencing Guidelines required 40 years to life.
I have often tried to think of a way to show Mr. Colich how much his help was appreciated. This review is the best way I have come up with so far.

I had been Involved in a personal injury case that had drug out for about 2 years. I was supposedly being "represented " by a lawyer hired by Liberty Mutual. This other lawyer gave me release to sign that would entitle me to $548 and Liberty Mutual would gain $24,452.
I knew something wasn't right and I started to call a few lawyers to see if they could give me advice or help me determine what to do. After contacting two other lawyers that wouldn't even look at my documents, I came accross Mr. Lavoie.
Ben took the time first to listen, then read through my documents. He eased my anxieties and lowered my stress levels instantly. He assured me he would do absolutely everything he could do for me. I quickly found my self doing something I thought I would never do...."Trust a Lawyer!" Within a few short weeks, he settled my case for $5400, and even lowered his fees so I received even more money in my pocket.

Our case was a complex Workers Compensation case, which was initially filed in the state of Indiana, since my husband worked for an over the road trucking company based out of Indiana. We reside in Minnesota and the injury occured in Colorado. From what I had read, the case could be transferred to Minnesota. I called several attorneys and Ben Lavoie was the only one who took the time to look at the case and have it filed in Minnesota for us. From that point on, we never felt like we were alone in the complex, drawnout Workers Compensation system. My husband's case took several years to finalize and yet Ben never got discouraged or let us get discouraged. He helped us obtain a very fair settlement for both future lost wages and future medical expenses. Kevin Gray was excellent to work with. He managed my case efficiently and effectively. I had a lawsuit started against me in Hennepin County which I believed did not have any merit. Kevin contacted the opposing counsel and was able to convince them not to pursue the matter and the lawsuit was ultimately dismissed. Kevin was very responsive to my communications and kept me advised as his discussions with the other side progressed. He did an excellent job of explaining to me my rights and the defenses to the claim that were avaialbe to me. I found Mr. Gray very easy to work with and very responsive to my inquiries. Joan Hallock is a terrific mediator. Our firm engaged her to mediate a case. Joan was knowledgeable, thorough, and handled the mediation professionally and skillfully. Joan was able to effectively communicate the positions of both parties to the point that a settlement was reached. Joan related well with the injured worker and was able to gain his confidence.Joan's style made it very easy for the injured worker to understand the salient arguments and positions and to be able to distinguish them from the superfluous ones.
