Absolute Scam and Unprofessional Behavior
Jeremy,
I hired you to help with a bogus speeding ticket, where I have clear dash cam footage showing my speed, location, and the officer’s actions before and after the stop. The officer claimed I was going 80 in a 45, wrote the wrong location of the stop, and the speed limit on that road was actually 55. My speedometer was at 61, clearly shown on the dash cam. Yet, you had the nerve to tell me you could “maybe” reduce the ticket to a 14-over, despite knowing the entire ticket was a joke.
After this ridiculous introduction, I called the very next day—over a month before the court date—and requested a refund. Your desk lady assured me I’d get a full refund. But today, I get a call telling me the case was continued (even though I fired you), and now you’re only offering half of my payment back because you “spent 20 minutes” on my case? That’s a load of crap.
Then, to top it off you have the audacity to threaten me with legal action if I dispute this scam through my bank. You’re not even competent enough to handle a simple case like this and now you’re acting like a crook. I honestly feel bad for your firm that you’re so desperate for this money, but I’ll be sure to keep on sharing my experience the community.
Keep the half—you clearly need it more than I do.

Currently in a lawsuit with this company representing the other party, not sure if they read the accident report but I'm sure this firm encouraged their client to lie based on claims they made that aren’t matching up to the accident report. When I spoke to Mrs.Rameriez to see why after being paid out by my insurance they’re trying to claim more I was met with hostility. Already spoke to my insurance who verified all payouts have been paid & documents have been signed. Very interesting & will be counter suing her & her client for fraudulent claims. Sad to see people abusing the system and this law firm encouraging it.

I highly recommend Kevin Ginsberg. I spoke with him at length about a claim for an auto accident, and he took the time to help me understand in detail how these cases work, what we could (and could not) recover, and offered several avenues to proceed. Because the claim was so straightforward, Kevin provided me with the information I needed to be confident in settling it on my own. Got over $$3,500 stolen from my attorney. He promise to take our case to sue a company and every time we asked for updates he will have an excuse. It’s been a year (12 months) and no work was done, we have ask for our money back and he was failed to provide an explanation on where the money is. He said he has to deduct his hours which no work was ever presented to us. In the whole year NOTHING was ever done. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
Update:
Ms Andrew provided me with an invoice where he charged us $250 for just REVIEWING emails, this means he DID NOT REPLY, he did not do anything but received it.
Emails that he decided to ignored, he wants us to sign an invoice for a check when he is not even acknowledging the $200 that Mr River promise to add to our fund. He is also charging us more than what we had agreed on.
The agreement was that he was going to charged $250 for every HOUR Working on our case. He is charging us $250 for emails WE send asking about our case! EMAILS he decided to ignored. And unless he has a disability I can’t understand how long it took him to read my email.
We got over $3,250 for him LOOKING at our emails.
Please be careful because if that’s not stealing money idk what is.
In the refund the wants to give us is only for $375 back and asking us to sign a disclosure saying “we are happy with his service and all charges are accurate” IF THATS NOT STEALING PEOPLES MONEY, I DONT KNOW WHAT IS!
Funny you claimed we didn’t dispute the charges when we are asking you to send us the drafting work you claim you did. And NOTHING HAS BEEN PROVIDED. WE ARE DISPUTING ALL THOSE $3,250 that you did not work, you ignore emails.
I dispute those charges as soon as you sent them.

Andrew was 45 minutes late to our first court appearance. I was sent multiple reminders from his firm to appear at the correct time, and I was getting more and more stressed when he did not show up. I called his office and they had no idea where he was and assured me that they would contact him and find out. Finally he showed up 45 minutes late. I did not get an apology or explanation for why he was late.
Andrew was representing me in a tenant eviction where the tenant was living in my property without leaving for 6 months. This is the first time that I have ever gone through an eviction so I hired him. He was supposed to check the rent bonds each month so that we could remove the tenant any time they did not pay their bonds to the court. He failed to check the October rent bond because we were attempting to negotiate with the tenant. Instead he waited until November and then realized the tenant hadn't paid in October and we could have filed to remove her weeks earlier. This inaction lost me 1 month of income. He will probably reply here that he didn't check the bond because he was negotiating - but I fail to see why both tasks are mutually exclusive. I am literally paying for his time (retainer paid for his hourly rate so it's not like I asked him to do this for free), so why were the tasks I asked him to do not done?
When I asked Andrew to acknowledge this mistake or provide me with a discount on his rate for the income that he lost me, he sent me the following reply, direct quote: "I have 100 other cases going on besides yours. The rent bond information is publicly available. So, it is also something that you could have checked just as easily." If he has 100 other cases and can't give my case the attention it needs, maybe he should take on less cases. And obviously if I was a legal expert and could have gone through this process on my own, I wouldn't have needed a lawyer in the first place.
EDIT - He was absolutely 45 minutes late. To deny that would be an absolute lie. I sat in the court room by myself while the judge skipped over me and went to other cases, and she directly said that we can come back to mine when my council shows up. And I did bring this up to Andrew by asking him to state clearly (by email) exactly what time he would be at court for the next court appearance.
As for why I said "Thank you" in emails??? and didn't call out the issues immediately it's because I was afraid that if I call out ineffective work during my case, that I would be retaliated against and the work wouldn't be performed at all. There's a reason I had to follow up over 100 times.
You are also misrepresenting me here. I NEVER once asked why you didn't file the writ of possession while we were negotiating. I understand ethics very well. I only asked why you didn't VERIFY that the tenant paid her bond. Isn't the saying "knowledge is power"? When the tenant flaked from turning up to sign the negotiated paperwork, we should have been able to file the Writ of Possession Immediately. Or even immediately after our court date. Instead because you never checked this fact, we had to wait weeks!!

It seems all your time trying to prove to my cc company that you did the work I paid for was most of the work you did, because that's more work than I ever saw for myself.... Which is what I told them, and the reason it was in your favor was because one of the deadlines of my cc company to reply to your response expired and I was not aware. As I explained to them, all the paperwork you showed them were never provided to me, and the reason I asked for a refund in the first place was due to your lack of communication, professionalism, and any type of quality of work (or lack thereof). It's the only logical explanation in the first place, since I have paid money for services which I have never received, and I have no resolution of the case you were hired to perform. Presumably, if it took you “several hours” to refute my claim, you didn’t start out with enough evidence to disprove it in the first place. And my “audacity” comes from being the fact that I am the one that ended up wasting every penny I gave you, with nothing to show for it. I think that you are the audacious one, to think that I am not deserving of any refund, because you had to spend time to manufacture evidence of your work you did for me.

I'm responding so that we stick to the facts as opposed to manufacturing hyperbole and you misrepresenting what happened, and taking no responsibility for your actions as a professional.
To reiterate, I lost the chargeback because, as the bank told me multiple times, we went past the deadline required by the bank to respond. In addition you showed the bank "evidence" of work you had done for the case, which I had never seen before, and could have easily been manufactured after the fact.
And to keep facts straight again, I never disputed the fee charged for the consultation, only the fees for the case, which was never performed. Way back I asked for a refund from you when there wasn't even any work performed yet, and you offered me a very small fraction of my fee. It was then that I realized you were not going to be reasonable and I initiated the chargeback. Throughout the time of the case I had to continuously do my own legwork for the case and emails to you went unanswered for days at a time. I was also extremely dissatisfied with your attention to my case, and knowledge of procedure, which is another reason I asked for a refund. I had to hire different representation for my case due to your lack of attention and resolution. I find it interesting in all of your responses you never claim to have represented me or found any resolution in my case. I think if you had finished the case, and then I initiated a chargeback, that would be a scam, not me trying to get some money back before the case was started because I was dissatisfied with your service. You offered me approximately a 25% refund of my original fees, which was before anything was even started for the case. If I had been represented to my satisfaction, or you recovered any damages in my case, I would have not asked for anything back, obviously. In this case the scam seems to be accepting my total fee with no resolution or progress to my case, and I find it preposterous that you expect you should be compensated for time responding to my dispute, when I was dissatisfied with my service in the first place.
Also I think we should leave anyone accepting credit card payments from me out of the equation, since you have zero knowledge of the subject. I hope my fee is worth it to you, since you seem to have a business practice of accepting funds for work not done, which seems like more of a scam to me.

I can't let the year end without acknowledging what this firm has done to me with regard to my immigration status adjustments. I came here after reading all the reviews, and I was still skeptical. But I just had to go with it.

Mrs. Brianne Van Apeldoorn and Misty Waldroup were my lawyer and paralegal. Right from the initial consultation Mrs. Vans Apledoorn explained exactly how she would recommend going about my case and executed it wonderfully when that time finally came. Misty was very quick with responses and continued to keep me up to date with everything and helped me understand what everything meant if needed.
During pre trial she explained things very well and went over everything to get a feel of how the court proceedings will go. She is very friendly and welcoming.
During trial she objected, questioned, and requested with reasoning things being dismissed before even having the chance to be heard. She was prepared for the long and treacherous day which turned into a shorter than expected day due to her attentiveness and organization. She was able to get our motion granted without needing my witnesses to testify.
It was expensive but for the outcome she delivered it was all worth it. For any family custody matters, I will be returning to her and will absolutely recommend her for any family law issues.

I can’t say enough great things about Langer Law. Being out of state made me extremely uncomfortable needing to deal with this ticket. The payment was reasonable and he took care of everything. I admit that I was likely unpleasant at first but the reassurance I received made everything so much better. Would refer anyone to Langer Law in the future. Hopefully I wont need them again. Rest assured if I did, I would be taken care of without issue.

Lawyer Gordon langer is honestly the BEST lawyer I’ve ever used for a traffic ticket!! A speeding ticket that I was supposed to lose my liscense for a whole year, I also have a cdl I drive a truck and my job was at stake and if the plead guilty I would’ve lost both liscense’s. Possibly never getting my cdl’s back!! Gordon went above and beyond for me! Not only did he get my speeding ticket reduced but I didn’t even have to appear in court!! End result he got my speeding ticket reduced tremendously!!!!! I still have my driver license, CDL’s and my job!!! I can’t thank Gordon enough!! Constantly calling me and keeping me aware and up to date of everything going on with my case!!! Usually you have to hunt and chase the lawyer down !! Not this lawyer tho!!! Daron Satterfield loves his job. I wouldn’t have it for love or money, but here is a man who truly loves his work. Here is my story.
I sold some land in 2018 in Durham County. The real estate agents Alex Rivers and David Balon did, by way of deception, caused me to sign an agreement with them while under contract to another agency. They told me that their lawyer, Josh Whitaker, said that I did not receive “adequate compensation”. As a result of this advice, I told the first party that I had not received adequate compensation and signed with Alex Rivers and David Balon of ReMax. Within six days or less, a lis pendens or “suit pending” was filed against the land. That action froze my land and put me into a state of severe depression.
I hired Kenneth Haywood, a lawyer from the agency of Howard Stallings From Atkins Angell and Davis in Raleigh. I paid him $7500. We went to mediation, all to no avail as I told Haywood. Nothing else was done except for more billing, up to nearly $13000. I refused to pay any more and he quit!~
Daron took on the job at short notice, sat up all night and found case law and president that allowed my effort to continue. We went to court and he was astounding in his remarks to the jury, and his cross examination of this swine. It took about 90 minutes for the jury to find in my favor. Daron is a man you can trust, and one who believes in service to those in need, and I can tell you from the heart that that was me.

Andrea was very kind and very helpful in helping me get on Social Security Disability! I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, and it's something that I struggle with every day and have for awhile! She gathered all the Facts and Information pertinent to my Social Security Disability Case. I had an awful experience— He represented me for a traffic ticket and assured me that everything was fine, with no points being deducted. However, it turned out that we ended up paying the ticket. He claimed it was the court's mistake and said he would handle it. Months passed, and despite repeated attempts to contact him, we’ve had no success. His voicemail is full, he has no office (just a mail drop in Chapel Hill), and when we went to court to check, we found out that nothing had been done.
It has been over six months, and I am still waiting to hear from him. Please do not hire him!

This guy is so good that he got my DUI and resisting arrest double-trouble case dropped despite an extremely high breathalyzer reading and the existence of a bodycam video of me legging it away from the police towards the safety of my house for a few seconds before being tackled. Robert DiDomenico isnothing short of a legal black belt, a true professional who can turn the dark power of bureaucracy against itself and allow you to escape unfair permanent consequences, all for a reasonable price. He is a wizard who works with legal databases in place of ancient scrolls. In court I could hear him behind the wall arguing with the prosecutor, obviously fired up about getting me the best result in my case, and it's that kind of dedication that ensured I actually did beat the charges. Of course, your results may vary based on the details of your own case, and he did tell me that it would be difficult and unlikely to get this kind of ideal result. If I remember correctly, what happened is that when they pulled me over they had shaky probable cause to actually get me out of the car and/or breathalyze me or whatever, and he threatened to take my case to trial on this basis. The prosecutor wanted to avoid this because it would make her look bad to not convict immediately with a plea deal, clogging the jury trial system with a case that's much less important than, for example, a murder or something legitimately horrible like that. I am no longer an (active) alcoholic and no longer drive drunk, and I thank Robert for my currently bright career prospects as an engineer, saved from the possibility of background checks coming up dirty.
