They file a lawsuit against the wrong company (we are human and make mistakes) but they refuse to make a public apology or pay for the company's legal expenses to undue their error. Why hire someone with those ethics?

I contacted Jason in July 2023 to get my POA and trust documents written to have available for my son whenever I pass away. I paid in full (his rule - now I know why). He got the documents to me in August (I believe). I contacted him on 9/1 for two blank forms from one of the documents so I could type up what I wanted on them. He offered to get that done for me. I emailed 5 times, text, and called the office and his cell. I finally received the complete 4 documents again on 12/27/23 (almost four months later!); two of which had the wrong names on them. I contacted him immediately and informed him; and had to email another 4 times. Jason kept blaming ME for this taking so long (you could have called; you could have text). I DID these things; he never responded until I told him he was fired and I would be finding a competent attorney. I received the "corrected" documents 3/11/24; two documents had an incorrect address; one document had my name misspelled; and there were other typos. Last week, he text me that he would issue me a partial refund. This week, he is refusing me any refund.

If you intentions are to maintain or gain custody of your child or children DO NOT USE Jason Lile as your Attorney. He is just there to take your money. Mr. Lile wasn't very professional leading up to court, and was extremely outclassed in the court room by opposing counsel. I realize that there are a lot of us out that this may be your first time hiring a attorney. The truth is you don't know what you don't know until it happens and you wished you were represented by the type of attorney who advised you properly and was working in your best interest. Please don't make the same mistake I made in choosing Mr. Lile expecting him to be that type of attorney because he is not, you will lose your kids no matter if your a great mother or father with his representation.

Rude! I called for help and the call lasted 2 seconds. I've been looking for an attorney and a house. He returned my call and wouldn't tell me what line of work that he was in, I don't read minds. I didn't know if it was a call back for a house or an attorney. Instead of telling me who he was, he told me that if he wasn't needed then he would gladly hang up. I was told him that I was simply trying to find out which conversation I needed to have with him, thanked him, and hung up. If he's not professional now then he won't be later. All it took was him stating the law firm before or after his name. He could have even told me when I asked. He must not have needed a new client though. Reply: Your reply only further proves how UNPROFESSIONAL you really are. I never said that I called you looking for a house. Had you read my review to comprehend and not to reply then you would know that. This is why I did not do business with you. My name is a profile name so no, it doesn't match any names.

I was named a class representative in a class action suit and am in possession of a signed agreement between William B. Federman and myself. I was told by his legal assistant that the Court often awards an incentive fee to those who agree to act as figure head class representatives. When I contacted Mr. Federman some time after discovering that the suit had been settled, he claimed there was no record of my claim in the database. He dismissed my inquiry and although I was in frequent contact with his legal assistant on this class action suit, I was never notified of the settlement and never received any compensation nor an incentive fee. I would never recommend this attorney as his firm didn't live up to their end of the agreement and a one star rating is one too many.

Rob was my lawyer for a paternity action. In the 7 months he was on my case, he did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except file continuances on my case. He was supposed to get me a temporary order, but instead I was left alienated from my child for a total of 9 months! He gave awful advice any time he was needed & tried to defend my child’s mother’s actions stating that she “just needed the hole in her heart to be filled with Jesus.” I will never trust him to represent me again! I’ve spoken with several others who say the same!

Gary Morris and his staff is a great. I found his staff very caring and attentive to detail. Unlike other people I know with workers comp cases who would wait months or even years to.see a doctor, Mr Morris got me to a doctor the same week that I hired him! I got to see a really good doctor that really cared about gettinge better and helped me a bunch. I believe that I chose the right attorney. I was really hurt and because Mr Morris is so well respected, I dont think that I had to put up with all the scarey nightmares that some other injured workers have to go through. I would tell my best friend, if you are hirt at work, don't let an insurance company get away with pushing you around and act like you aren't hurt. Hire Gary Morris.

Within weeks of retaining her: This is the most professional, communicative attorney I've ever heard of, let alone worked with. She's doing everything right, and keeping me 100% in the loop. How things turn out- I expect it to go well. But regardless, she has been the most direct, organized and competent attorney I've ever dealt with. After having experience with 2 others (1 in this case) I am all too familiar with weeks on end without updates, or even answers to simple, direct questions. She is just the opposite. And she is every bit as informative and organized months into the case as she was the first few days. She's gotten more done in the first two weeks than the last attorney got done in over 6 months. She's straight up. I would highly recommend her to anyone. After the trial: Throughout the course of our business, none of her work ethic changed, she made the right calls, even if/when it hurt. I haven't researched standard fee ranges, but she seems in line with attorneys of her caliber (of which I suspect there are few.) She was tenacious. She was kind (to me.) She *listened to my priorities, and she advised accordingly. I trusted her implicitly, and my confidence in her abilities only grew. And yes, we won my case! And big. It helped that the law was clear--even when opposing counsel and his client's integrity weren't. I could not recommend her more highly. I wish I'd known what another attorney said about her when I had retained the previous one: ~ "She has the rare quality of being able to 'kill em with kindness, and stab em between the ribs.' "

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:

Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
