Kristen represented me through a custody dispute, as I tried to navigate the best possible scenario for my daughter, age 5. We knew some of the things I was fighting for (relocation) was an uphill battle, but she supported me while also giving me realistic assessments of our options. I retained Kristen in December of 2021. During our initial meeting she answered every question and I had 3 pages of them. She never made me feel rushed and even asked if I had additional questions. She and her team made me feel important. When dissolving a marriage of 28 years it can be absolutely crushing as we all know. Kristen was always a voice of reason and calm. I can't say enough wonderful things about Attorney Michael Kilgore and this law firm. This has been a very draining and emotional wrongful death case, but Michael and this office has made it easier to handle with their professionalism and caring staff.
They were always readily available to answer any emails or phone calls to take care of any questions or matters with my case with promptness. They have had my back through the whole process.
I highly recommend Michael Kilgore if you ever need an Attorney. Hopefully I will never have to go through this again but if I ever do I will be reaching out to this Law Firm.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Attorney Michael Kilgore and his assistant Jillian. My accident was rather unique and this was the first time I've ever needed an attorney for a personal injury case. So, to say I was overwhelmed in the beginning is an understatement but they were there with me every step of the way!
Their follow through from returning emails and phone calls to taking care of matters regarding my case in a timely fashion was impeccable! This was a very rough time for me and I feel very fortunate to have had the two of them by my side. They had my back throughout the entire process and in the end, it all worked out for the best.

I needed some help with a small estate affidavit after my father passed. I live out of the state of Tennessee making it very difficult to get straight answers from anyone and eventually finding that a couple lawyers were trying to nickel and dime me - starting with one price and then coming back with another. Then I found Tara. She was the answer to my prayers: upfront, informative, confident, and most importantly, honest. She quoted me a flat fee for the work and filing fees for probate court, she constantly kept me informed with paperwork updates and the like. She was empathic to the fact that I was dealing with a stressful situation. The human element of the law is hard to find sometimes. I really appreciated that coming from Tara. She's got a great sense of humor, too, which is usually important in times like these. She takes her work very seriously. She also - after no longer being her client - answered my emails full of questions and met with me to go over things in person once I'd gotten into town. I thought she was great and I feel so lucky to have found her. I'd definitely recommend Tara.

I am so pleased with Ms. Hawley. she is concise, and is truly knowledgeable in her profession. As a woman handling my Mother's estate I started out with an attorney that kept raising the fee. Ms. Hawley offered me a flat fee and addressed all of my concerns. I chose Ms. Hawley because she was a part of a large firm that can offer a depth of experience in handling a legal situation. I had to find new legal counsel after my first lawyer's lack of experience became painfully obvious the first time in front of the judge. In my search for a new lawyer, Lewis Williams came highly recommended, and he made an immediate impact.
My (now) ex-wife’s lawyer was loud, rude, aggressive, and willing to present half-truths and outright lies in the courtroom. (My previous lawyer didn’t stand up to her, but just wilted.) After I hired Lewis, she became much more civil and showed him immediate respect. (He told me he had beaten her in the courtroom before, so that was a good sign.)
My ex-wife worked very little during our 18-year marriage, had an affair, and faked a brain injury in her attempt to gain disability benefits. I had copious amounts of evidence for all this. Unfortunately, Tennessee state law apparently cares little about morality and ethics and mostly looks at income vs. need. Thus, I was vulnerable to paying extensive alimony due to my income and the length of our marriage. Lewis encouraged me to settle, even though he told me he would make up to $30,000 in more legal fees if we went to court. I was amazed at his honesty and integrity.
On a side note, he is very prompt at returning emails and works through weekends, holidays, and even when he’s sick! There were times when I thought, “He needs to rest.”

The owner of apartments that border my property was negligent in maintaining his trees. The trees posed a danger to my property, including my house. Mr. McClanahan did his homework by having The University of Tennessee extension agent come to my property and assess the danger of the trees. Then, armed with the evidence, sent a letter to the owner of the apartments. I had been requesting that the trees be cut for over six months, but within one week of Mr. McClanahan's action the dangerous trees were cut and removed! Now my yard is safe and I am a fan of the excellent work of Matthew McClanahan!

I was very pleased with Mike Watson. My charges were in a county that he's not part of the good ol' boy syatem( if you know what I mean). Mike came to me with an offer from the DA.. according to guidelines it was supposed to be the best offer anyone else would get with my charges. Mike and I sat there and discussed everything because he knew I wasn't happy. Let me say he went back and forth to the DA 3 separate times and came back with good news every single one. Hopefully I'll never need an attorney for dumb mistakes I make but if I do... I'll be calling Mike!

Mr. Houston bent over backwards for me in giving advice when I handled my case pro se. He did advise me that I would be at a disadvantage by going pro se and that I should seek legal counsel. After I explained that this was not possible due to my finances, he immediately started sending me links to click on and view TN court rules of civil evidence. I'm not sure why he was so very fourth coming with help, but he was!! I owe him BIG TIME!! I really feel this is an attorney who will look toward doing the right thing for his client and not about padding his wallet!! I was able to settle my case on the court house steps. If I had not filed the lawsuit I don't believe this settlement would have ever happened. GOD BLESS Mr. Houston!!

Lester Law helped me through all the steps along the way. Started working with them back in 2016 to obtain my LPR. Very thankful they walked me through the overwhelming process. After obtaining my Greencard they then helped me with my extension and eventually my Naturalization.
The entire process was stressful at times and overwhelming, as a lot of unexpected things happened along the way, but they were always only a phonecall away and super responsive. I never felt like I was left on my own.

Andrew Love represented me in a large sex trafficking case. I was indicted with 2 counts of promoting prostitution and 2 counts of sex trafficking. I am also out of state (7 hours away). He was not only there for me legally, he was there for me emotionally. I was going through alot during this time. I had a baby on the way and was in constant fear of not being able to be there for my child. Andrew Love alleviated those worries every time I spoke to him. With is wonderful and caring personality he answered every time I called and was there by my side though this whole ordeal. I was facing a total of 72 years behind bars and being labeled as a sex offender for the rest of my life. Andrew Love was able to get me only 2 years of probation without the burden of the sex registry. When my husband and I learned of his ex-wife's habit of doing drugs in front of their children we were horrified and had no idea what to do. On the recommendation of a friend we contacted Earl who took a heartfelt approach to our case and helped us immensely. He was very honest and straightforward and it was clear that he really cared about us and the well-being of our children. It was very long but very rewarding, in June of 2017 I adopted my step-children and they will never again be exposed to drugs and domestic violence as they were in their biological mothers homes, plural as she was constantly living with different men. Jim was referred to me by a friend during a very difficult time in my life. Over the next 3 months, Jim was always just a phone call away, either answered me right away or called me back within 5 minutes. During the process, he helped me understand the laws, provided sound advice on all of my issues. Most importantly, he got shi7 done in a timely fashion and got it done correctly. He's not one of those lawyers interested in stringing you along, creating drama, or digging his heels in on immaterial items just to rack up legal fees - quite the contrary he always looked out for my best interest in the most rational way. But, when needed he brought out the big guns and fought for me and my rights. In addition, throughout it all he kept his humor (keeping me sane) and was very empathetic to my situation. Prior to having to seek out his help in 2013 I had no real experience with dealing with lawyers. I think it's a natural reaction to be a little intimidated at first, seeing as people always say such negative things about lawyers in general. However, after our initial meeting, I quickly realized that I had nothing to fear. I left our first consultation feeling much more empowered and protected than when I walked in. Mr. Mize is extremely intelligent in his field and this helped to put me at ease. My first time as his client I was going through a divorce. He made sure that I had all of the information that I needed and he asked several questions so he would have a very clear picture of the situation. He never judged or criticized, but always gave helpful and concerned advice. He was always prompt, friendly and professional with returning my calls, texts or emails. Mr. Mize never made me feel rushed or as if I were an inconvenience or a bother. The divorce itself was pretty clear-cut and went fairly smoothly. Two years later, I sought him out again because my ex-husband filed for child support modification and also wanted to modify our days with the kids. The days modification was not in the best interest of our children and would have negatively impacted their health and schooling. We all make mistakes. Upon hearing about Houston & Alexander PLLC, I consulted them regarding DUI charges among others. Mr. Underwood got court postponed for me on more than one occasion, until I was able to pay for their services in full. On my final court date they did their negotiations with the district attorney’s representatives, and got my charges reduced to reckless driving.
