If you're looking for justice don't depend on this DA. She's not for rights of children. Attempting to dismiss such a serious case of child abuse is vile. When election time comes, just remember, we need an attorney who fights for what's right! ⚖️

They deserve a 0 star rating! Very complacent and have a high tolerance for the criminal. They said they didn’t have time but that’s an excuse. There’s 24 hours in everyone’s day and they chose not to invest the time in a certain case. It seems to be common complaint with this office.

Hired him in 2021 for a child support case, took $1000 from me, says he is buddies with the judge and the ladies in the judges office, acts like he is going to do something for me, never returns phone calls, didn't show up for a court date and didn't update me with what is going on with my case. he is part of the criminal organization called Child support, they have been scamming, harassing and extorting money for years. I am filing a federal civil rights lawsuit against the whole organization and everyone involved.

Very poor communication; told me that the orders for my divorce could have been lost in the mail or sent to the wrong courthouse when it had been almost 50 days since my divorce hearing and I hadn't received it. After expressing my concern over this, she acknowledged the orders were never sent out in the first place, and blamed most of the mistakes on the paralegal. Although she did apologize, and did her best to correct the error, it doesn't make up for the stress it caused me or lost time in getting things settled. I won't recommend her to anyone.

She was my divorce lawyer 2 years ago. She was only available 1/2 of the time due a pregnancy. I actually understood that, but when I would call with questions not only did her assistant not pass on messages and return my calls, but she was also very rude. Once we did finally go to court she was all in favor of what my wife wanted, but seemed to not really care about my concerns. The only thing that I received was alimony for a few months, and I was the one to ask for that deal. She didn't think that I could get that. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Hired Bill and paid him $2700.00. Bill asked us to meet him for lunch at a restaurant to review our case, bring our packet of documents, and discuss a plan of action. A week later he sent out a letter to the opposing attorney without allowing us to review it first. The letter had wrong dates and information. A week later, we were at the restaurant bar that we had originally met him in and the bar tender brought him the packet of notes and information that I had prepared for him. I looked at the bartender and said that’s my packet, not his. He said, “well I guess I’m fired.” He left my packet at the restaurant the first day we met him, and sent a terrible letter to our opposing attorney. The least he could have done was return our money. Would not recommend him. Zero stars.

After seeking assistance from Victor Mullins, I was extremely dissapointed to say the least. When meeting with victor, I was given a very uninterested demeanor regarding my case. When asking questions, I was given very vague answers accompanied with very short meeting times with the attorney. While working on the case, I received very few phone calls about my case. Mr. Mullins was very difficult to keep in touch with, rarely answering phone calls, or returning them ever after leaving messages asking to please return my call. Followed with all of these unsatisfying experiences, Mr. Mullins did not win my case. Overall, I do not feel as though Victor Mullins did his part in assisting me with my court case and would not recommend him to anyone.

I attained Mr. BRYAN as my council and informed him upfront I had low finances... paid the 1500 up front... every month it was more and more... to the tune of almost 6,000... when it came time for court Mr. BRYAN did nothin to defend me... he was very quiet in court room... then when it was time for final trial he excused himself due to not enough money paid.... he took advantage of me and didnt follow through with what he was paid for.... he seemed to almost defend the other side... my advice is find a lawyer that will defend you and follow through with what you pay them for..... if you need a dependable lawyer please look else where. . Mr. Bryan is not the one you need.... he puts on a good show but when its time to do what you have paid him for he lacks the ability to follow through

Wish I would have known then what I know now. He will sell you a great story, get your retainer money then you will never hear from him again. The office will repeatedly tell you he will call you back, he won’t nor will they. If you call again they will say they’ve been shot handed and busy with current cases. So busy you hear him advertising on the radio everyday for new clients. A simple google search on this guy will reveal how many others he’s done this to amongst, ethics issues, and other criminal behavior. Stay away.

Lorraine Eckard was my divorce lawyer several years ago. Before I retained her, she presented herself as someone that was eager to help me and do everything she could for me as I was the wife who was lied to, cheated on and really the only dependable parent to our children. She even said that she hoped we would be good friends afterwards. A few months after retaining her, I began to question her actions. She discussed openly one of her other cases (a paternity case and even said her client's name in front of me which I have never disclosed to anyone) over the telephone to the judge's assistant/secretary? during my appointment with her. She told me to gather letters/notes that I had received from my now ex-husband's mistress which she NEVER used and never gave back to me, and she also started giving ME duties such as people to call for information on and pertaining to my case which after paying her $3,000.00 I would think that would come under her duties as my attorney. Getting closer and closer to the court date, this attorney would openly criticize me to the point that is caused me VERY MUCH distress. (Upon hearing about these things, my sister one day said to me, "Whose attorney is she... yours or HIS?"). She never fought for me and instead, just accepted whatever demands they made. I felt completely defeated. And even when I started to question her in my mind, I felt it was too late to turn back. REMEMBER, I DID NOTHING WRONG -- i was the wife who was lied to, cheated on and all the while stayed in my home with my children to take care of them as a mother should and, I as a person, would have it no other way. She prepared me in NO way for the court proceedings -- NOT AT ALL. She told me that we wouldn't have to be right in the courtroom, that we could stay in a room off of the courtroom and answer questions there. Another lie. That was not true. I asked her the day of the hearing what I needed to do/say. She answered me in these exact words, "Just say yes to everything". When we left the courtroom she told me she still owed me some money back. I never received it. Not another word was said about it. And I just didn't want to see her ever again.

Be very careful Robert is extremely overworked and will not represent you to the fullest. He is extremely disorganized loosing important documents. And entirely overcharged for the amount of actual work completed. Received no itemized list of work done. On a violation from the original offense Robert failed to represent me. I called him left messages and mailed him a letter. He didn't respond. The court mailed him my violation paper work and he lost it. I spent years in prison listening to similar stories about Robert. He could be a good attorney. However his work load must be so large that he can't manage and maintain.

Anne Wandling has "worked" on my Social Security Disability for several years now with little to NO results. She's slow with her tatics. I now wish that I had NEVER let her handle my case. The truth is that she DOES NOT care about the lives of the people she represents, after all when her day is done she gors home with her husband, DON WANDLING, to their plush and lush living. I will probably end up losing EVERYTHING I have that I've worked so hard for befote my accident. I personally WOULD NOT RECOMEND HER TO ANYONE!!! AND, I've had to provide her with alot of my medical records for her..SO, I may as well be handeling my case myself. My advise to anyone looking for a lawyer for your SS case, skip over her name in the yellow pages. Anne is a pitiful lawyer.

I hired Michael back in 2016. I was having trouble with my son's father and gaining custody. Michael was ok in the beginning. We went over scenarios and what I was trying to accomplish. I received a job opportunity in Columbus and Michael was able to help with getting the relocation approved. We were also working on child support, which is still an ongoing issue. My complaint against Michael, is it states in his disclosure, that I signed, that I would keep a balance of $1000 in my retainer and I would receive monthly invoices. He has asked for more money to be added, without giving me any invoices of balances and moneys owed. In my desperation, I went ahead and paid him. $5500 is the total I paid him. It's 2018 and in the 2 years I retained Michael, I never received an invoice, not for the lack of trying. I did request invoices periodically. It was just a few weeks ago I finally received one. It showed I owed him $3000. His invoice stated that in order to continue, I would need to apply $1500 towards it. I was shocked. I'm a single mom, and I work 2 jobs to make ends meet. My son's father is oil and gas and makes way more than I do. The child support is reflecting what it was when he was unemployed last year. I asked Michael to file motion to modify back in the summer of 2017, and he failed to do so. Now, Michael demanded the balance in order to continue, even though on the phone he said he wasn't worried about it. I sent an email back, stating there was no way I could come up with $3000 in a few weeks. He then stated that he would no longer represent me. He did state he would not seek further action for me to pay the balance, but this puts in me in a very bad position, considering I had to move to have a better career. I'm 2 hours away from the courts system where all of this is being held. Michael filed the modification, but had not serve my son's father. So now I'm scrambling to get my son's father served. This lawyer left me to fend for myself in the middle of my battle. I would have been able to manage my retainer better if I had the invoices I asked for since the beginning. Michael made it seem like my needs were not worth the effort for him. I would not recommend him in the future.

I was very disappointed in my outcome when I wrapped up my case w Mr. Kuhn. I was lead to believe in the beginning that my minor misdemeanor case would easily be dismissed especially since I had a mountain of evidence against my accusor. I consistently emailed and kept documented records to give to Mr Kuhn and the more evidence I produced showing proof on my behalf of my innocence the more he dismissed me and acted annoyed with our interactions. I lost complete faith in him even defending my rights completely in court and felt I had no choice other than but to plead no contest bc of his lack of communication on court dates, discussion of solutions/evidence provided and just an over all feeling of disappointment from our beginning conversation of him stating he believed the case would be dismissed based upon the review of initial evidence to feeling forced to plea no contest after dozens more digital files of evidence were provided to him proving my case should be dismissed. I look at the justice system w totally different view and understand why ppl don't trust them & feel our systems our corrupt. They're Abt moving paperwork and cases quickly not providing justice to individuals or protecting our rights. I could have just represented myself bc I definitely didn't feel defended by him in the least bit

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.
  8. Do you have references from past clients?
Testimonials or references can provide insight into the lawyer's professionalism and effectiveness.
  9. What are the strengths and weaknesses of my case?
Understanding potential challenges helps you prepare and sets realistic expectations.
  10. Are there alternative ways to solve my legal problem?
Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
