Jessica is an excellent attorney who works for your best interest and does not engage in petty issues. She gives sound advice that helps her clients come to the best and most equal division of assets. She is calming when she needs to be and fierce and controlling when the situation calls for it. What I respect most about her was her "high road" tactics and her best interest in her client and her client's children. Divorce is not fun and custody is equally as hard but she made sure that my interests and my child's interests were the most important and not "petty" jabs. Jessica strongly encourages working with opposing parties and finding an agreeable solution.
I would recommend her to others and will continue to retain her for as long as I need counsel.

Jessica helped me navigate the divorce process with agility and constantly provided strategic advice. Without her, I know that my divorce settlement would have been much worse. I am a female, successful small business owner who was married to clinical narcissist (who also happened to be a lawyer), so it was a roller coaster ride of his entitlement to my money and his boundless manipulation tactics. Jessica was professional yet friendly and offered invaluable legal advice. She walked me through the pros and cons of different legal avenues I could pursue and was always upfront about what was legally possible. She and her assistant were very responsive to email communication. She also did her best to resolve everything possible out of court to save on legal costs. This is the most difficult law firm to get in touch with. I've been trying to get my case reviewed for a week now. The voicemail company they hired has taken my I go three times now. When I finally got the link, I filled it out and was then sent another text message to fill out another link. I cant with all of these links, so I'm done.

I wish my review could have been favorable; however, Spiggle has made this impossible! The Spiggle Law Firm charges premium prices and provides substandard legal documents.
On November 14, 2023, I hired and paid Spiggle $4,000.00 for the trust. They may have called me or emailed me three to four times between November through January, which I why I was confused when I was billed $2,000 on December 18, 2023, and another $2,000 on January 18, 2024. EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS between November and January and they had done nothing, except remind me to provide the information to file the charge.
I provided the majority of the initial information, basically a brain dump, which was used in the initial charge. However, when Spiggle combined my document with their template, it appears they didn't include entire sentences, or they merged my sentences with theirs incorrectly, or merged/added sentences non-sequentially, resulting in a lack of flow, riddled with errors. That legal document was sent to EEOC.
Fast forward to the rebuttal; I spent MY summer writing my rebuttal based on the voluminous template provided by Spiggle, and once again when Spiggle combined my document with theirs, it was a mess. I corrected the majority of the errors, others I pointed out to them when I returned the document; edits went back-and-forth a few times.
As part of my exhibits I included personal videos, an extremely difficult decision to make, but Spiggle felt they were important as well. AFTER my rebuttal and exhibits were submitted to the EEOC, Spiggle then informed me that EEOC's portal couldn't handle the size of my videos. I cannot believe I'm the first of Spiggle's clients that this has happened to! Bottom line, my videos didn't accompany my rebuttal, although they were referenced throughout the rebuttal several times.
Upon receiving a final copy of the rebuttal, needless to say, I was shocked to see that Spiggle referenced a different client/person by name in the body of my rebuttal letter, which was sent to the EEOC!
In the meantime, I received an email reminding me of my signed agreement to keep $2K in the trust, it was at 0 balance, and I needed to replenish it immediately. I then learned that I was going to receive an invoice for approximately $6K. I requested an itemized invoice and a pause in billable hours while I reviewed the invoice. The invoice I received was not six thousand, but $7,007.00, and many line items listed countless hours of either drafting, reviewing, or revising the rebuttal, as well as several references regarding the video exhibits. This was very upsetting, not that I received an invoice, but by the excessive number of hours billed.
The next business day, I received an email from Spiggle closing my case and providing me with an updated invoice, increasing the amount I owed.
They close my case at an extremely sensitive and critical point in the process because I questioned their invoice! That certainly doesn't look or feel like the core values of Communicating with Compassion and Empathy.
I will be filing a fee dispute through VA State Bar.

Do they know they're talking to paying customers? I wonder....
Call me old fashion, but I do appreciate a respectful exchange and greeting. Especially if I am paying top dollar for boilerplate templates I could potentially fill out myself.

Bottom Line - Colleen Haddow is the BEST attorney I could have ever wished for --my only regret is that I didn't start with her from the beginning.
Ms. Colleen Haddow came as a recommendation from my previous law firm following failed mediation in a highly complex, contentious, and financially draining divorce and custody case. The opposing counsel - whose professional reputation precedes her as a person devoid of ethics and civility, made finding a willing, capable, and affordable replacement daunting. Colleen personally and immediately took my call for an intake interview. When I opened by informing her of who opposing counsel was, she simply laughed with complete confidence, accepted my case, and immediately got my case moving on the right track.
Unlike opposing counsel in this case, Colleen is a legal professional with impeccable integrity and ethics; but not to be confused with someone who submits to bully tactics or shies away from confrontation in or out of the courtroom. In contrast, Ms. Haddow is emotionally intelligent and well versed in the rules of the court to effectively persuade and, if need be, compel cooperation from even the most difficult of personalities. Mr. Colbert was very strategic throughout the whole process!! My best friend was faced with two assault felony charges in the name of self defense. If convicted, he would have been sentenced with over a decade. Damon represented my best friend during trial with smart and strategic arguments/ proposals. Keeping the courtroom well informed of every detail that led to what took place. My friends and family were able to feel confident and comfortable, as we watched his representation. Which was a relief because leading up to trial we didn’t understand Mr. Colbert’s strategy or approach. But we chose to believe in him, and it all made sense in the end! This man, Sean Underwood, completely wasted our time and set us way back. He's unprofessional, doesn't know his schedule, does NOT have a legal assistant, and is basically a one-person shop. In short, he misled my wife, and we were not discharged. We're in a worse position than before we hired him. Be careful when dealing with attorneys who don't know the law.

I am shocked by the below review. I have worked with Colleen on my high conflict case for nearly 8 years (initial divorce and subsequent modifications). She has been nothing but a fierce advocate and her attention to detail is unmatched. She knows numbers off the top of her head, is incredibly effective, and her courtroom skills are unmatched. We have been to Court numerous times and she has been able to predict the result with great accuracy each time. She is also incredibly responsive and has great bedside manner. She understands that the law is not always fair, but uses that knowledge to ensure her clients are getting the best result for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Perhaps she was too busy or burnt out, but we will have to live with the consequences of her lack of adequate attention and advocacy for decades. The next round of attorneys I interviewed to deal with the aftermath were shocked with the work in my case and the one I hired made sure anyone consulting on the case understood that it was not their work. She might be great with amicable cases, but her work resulted in great burden at the hands of a high conflict ex. I hope it’s a one-off, but that doesn’t help us.

Bottom Line - Colleen Haddow is the BEST attorney I could have ever wished for --my only regret is that I didn't start with her from the beginning.
Ms. Colleen Haddow came as a recommendation from my previous law firm following failed mediation in a highly complex, contentious, and financially draining divorce and custody case. The opposing counsel - whose professional reputation precedes her as a person devoid of ethics and civility, made finding a willing, capable, and affordable replacement daunting. Colleen personally and immediately took my call for an intake interview. When I opened by informing her of who opposing counsel was, she simply laughed with complete confidence, accepted my case, and immediately got my case moving on the right track.
Unlike opposing counsel in this case, Colleen is a legal professional with impeccable integrity and ethics; but not to be confused with someone who submits to bully tactics or shies away from confrontation in or out of the courtroom. In contrast, Ms. Haddow is emotionally intelligent and well versed in the rules of the court to effectively persuade and, if need be, compel cooperation from even the most difficult of personalities. In doing so, she also remained a steadfast, approachable, and responsive attorney (often responding to me within minutes), who consistently addressed my concerns, provided objective perspective, and gave absolute sound guidance amidst the evolving challenges within the case. In short, she kept me sane and grounded in arguably the most stressful and emotionally draining period of my life.
In addition to her superior soft skills, Colleen also demonstrated unmatched expertise and experience in distilling and framing the key issues of my case (fully explaining the legalities), to include those I hadn't initially seen, understood, or considered. Mrs. Miller's litigation services were nothing short of exceptional. I was falsely accused of abduction, assault, unlawful use of a firearm, and hit and run. Due to the lack of evidence defense presented by Mrs. Miller the prosecutor moved to nolle prosequi the case (meaning that they decline to prosecute) and the judge granted the prosecutor's motion and my case was dismissed. Mrs. Miller also advised me on how to proceed on an additional emergency risk order case that I chose to represent myself on. Based on Mrs. Miller guidance with that case, it was also dismissed without prejudice.
Mrs. Miller was easily and readily available / reachable throughout the duration of this ordeal which lasted approximately 4 months. I would certainly recommend Mrs. Miller to anyone needing legal representation.
