The state hired her as a panel attorney. No fault of her own, she was assigned my case the night before my trial hearing. While she did not have enough time to review the case thoroughly, she presented my case like she did. She is extremely knowledgeable about the law. She was attentive and really care for her clients and their well-being. She initially asked me what did I want the outcome to be and I told her a dismissal. She consulted with the state and within 5 minutes of entering the court room, she had all my charges dismissed. Before I left the court house, my record was no longer on the state case search. I've never seen anyone work as efficient as Attorney Lindsey. Not only did she get my charges dismissed, but before the day was over she had my expungement paperwork filled out and emailed it to me to sign for convenience. She even went a step further and contacted the state attorney to inform them I was invoking my 5th amendment right, so when I showed up to court the next week the state was already aware of my stance and I did not have to testify in the other case. She was on top of everything. Attorney Lindsey will work to get the best outcome for her clients just as she did me. I recommend her to anyone that is looking for a professional and knowledgeable attorney. She has compassion and empathy for her clients,, has humility, and easy to talk with. My wife passed away on August 12, 2016. Our living trust was 5 years old on August 11, 2016, so on completion of the necessary trust administration occasioned by my wife’s passing, I agreed to a restatement of the trust to reflect pertinent changes which had taken place in the 5 years since the trust was formed.

My wife and I established separate trusts and updated estate documents through an effort that was completed in October 2017. In December 2017 my wife exhibited maladies that were diagnosed as Metastatic Melanoma. After several weeks in hospice, she passed away on Christmas Day 2017.
How quickly one's world can be turned upside down....and how grateful I have been to have had current, complete estate documents through which I can, as trustee, manage the resulting estate affairs.
Colleen Prosser, along with Crystal, helped us to update our estate documents. It was very comforting to have someone like Colleen who has extensive background in estate law to formulate and implement a trust structure and provisions that allows effective management by me as trustee.
The carefully crafted documents also lay the groundwork for transition to alternative designated trustees should I pass or become incapable of decision making. These documents provide piece of mind that I am leaving a "tight ship" that can be easily passed on and sustained.

Where do I start? We were lucky to be referred to Mr. Darrow when we thought our case had little hope of being favorably resolved. I have used Matthew for two cases; criminal and DUI. My first case was very complicated. There were unusual circumstances and laundry list of charges. I had never been in a situation like that, never planned to be and had no idea where to turn.
Another attorney, which I couldn't afford, recommended another lawyer to me. I called Matthew explained my circumstances and he didn't shy away. Seventeen years ago I met John due to the child visitation/support issues I faced. He took everything I had to say into consideration and explained my rights as a parent while keeping the best interest of the kids in mind. He even indicated that his services may not be needed but that he would be willing to assist if I was uncomfortable speaking in front of the judge.
Hiring him as my attorney was the best decision I made since legal cases can get very complicated and confusing for the average person. He obtained all he promised, never misled me, and worked so hard, which I am forever grateful for.

Kevin assisted us with the resolution of a claim against a particularly difficult party who insisted on appealing multiple rulings against them. What should have been settled by reasonable business people or a single hearing about the facts of the case, the defendant and his attorney insisted on using every means possible to delay and draw out the process. Although this wasn't a huge claim, the issue was based on fraudulent billing by the defendant and we wanted to see it through the entire process on a moral basis. Kevin did a great job getting the defendant to court and making our side of the case clear. We prevailed and Kevin also assisted in collecting the judgement after the defendant began stalling after the judgement was rendered. I highly recommend Kevin for your business law concerns!

My neighbor was claiming ownership of a large piece of my property and had built a fence on it. Kevin Best review the claim with county property records and agree that I had ownership of the property. He review my property rights with me and suggest a plan of action to remove the fence and on keeping her from excising ownership of it. The plan was successful and the encroach fence was removed. Currently she is staying off the property.
Kevin was more then helpful when the Home Ownership Association question the fence removal. His knowledge of HOA convention rules were very helpful in responding to the Community Association.
I would hire Kevin again.

My experience with the Law Office of Kevin J. Best has been a very positive one and I plan on maintaining a professional relationship with this attorney.
I had been handling my particular case myself only to have it appealed (by the person suing me) twice and moved to different courts. The person has now filed their third and final appeal (allowed) with the court of appeals. I found myself in a situation where legal representation was a must. I had ten days to respond in writing to the writ of certiorari for the court of appeals. I needed an attorney-fast!
I googled attorneys and found Kevin J. Best, located in Annapolis. I was pleasantly surprised when Mr. Best personally answered the phone. I was immediately able to discuss my very complicated/time sensitive situation. I scheduled an immediate office appointment (2 hours) and fees were discussed during our phone conversation so there were no surprises. I felt Mr. Best was very reasonable. During the office visit Mr. Best very clearly explained and advised me with examples on how to respond to the writ of certiorari. Since I already had a rough draft of a response and Mr. Best was not familiar with the case to date he advised me to follow through myself to keep the cost down. I worked on my response at home-emailed it to Mr. Best the next day. Within hours he revised it and put it into legal format and emailed it back to me all prepared and ready to mail to the court.
This was above and beyond my expectations. All I had left to do was print, make copies and certify mail it to the court. I made the court deadline with days to spare and I filed the paperwork appropriately as required by this court's rules and guidelines- which I had no idea about. All with the help of my new attorney- Kevin J. Best. If needed Mr. Best will represent me at the court of appeals.

There are lawyers, then they’re heroes. Nicholas Exarhakis is more than an attorney, he’s a warrior. I discovered Nick on a google search as I desperately scrambled to find an attorney after my previous attorney dropped the ball on my case. My case was complex and far from an easy litigation or legal maneuver. Since the very first consultation I understood immediately that Nick was not the type of attorney that will give me false hope or give me unreal expectations for my case. He was REAL and HONEST. I am a man who wanted custody of my daughter from a mother who had custody since birth (6 years). Without getting into the details of the case, Nick fought relentlessly to have me granted primary custody. The battle was fierce with many motions, hearings appeals and so on, but Nick showed up prepared, armed with facts, evidence, discovery findings, effective cross examination questions and more. He went above and beyond to say the least. No doubt, his time is not cheap, but it was money well spent as I am now the primary custodian of my daughter after 6 years of being alienated from her. Recommended by the neighbor, Mr. Cooke took on our case after my fiance met with him. Mr. Cooke heard the true and complicated situation my fiance found himself in. I was so confident in the competency of Mr. Cooke that I went ahead and purchased baseball tickets for a date after the hearing. Maria is in a class by herself as far as we are concerned! We contacted close to twenty lawyers who were listed or recommended to us for help in an Education law issue for my child, and Maria by far was the best. She responded to our initial request for help on the same day I sent out requests, and was willing to speak on the phone first about our situation to tell us if we had a case. Our situation involved a homeschooling issue and the local Board of Education, and Maria was one of less than 5 attorneys who would even speak to us about our case.
She responded usually within hours, and always within a day, to any communication we sent to her, and was happy to accept the research we had already done into the case in order to lower our legal costs.
She worked on our time-sensitive case with as much speed as possible to reach a resolution, and was very kind and sensitive to my daughter as well. We are very pleased with the timeliness and outcome of our case, thanks to Maria.

We were in need of an attorney to prepare our wills, power of attorney (medical and financial) and health care advance directives. I expected it to be a difficult discussion as my spouse and I are not always on the same page on certain topics but Maria made it easy. There were some tears, some laughter, but she made it happen.
She explained things in layman's terms so that everything was understandable, instructed us in what would be subject to probate and how to do things properly in order to have the least amount subject to probate. She guided and counseled us in a gentle but professional way.
This experience ended up being pleasant, easy and much less expensive than i had anticipated. I would highly recommend Maria as an attorney - highly competent and very personable.

I was blindsided by the separation paperwork. Obviously my Ex had put time and effort into getting a head start on the divorce and had hired a very good & aggressive divorce lawyer. I contacted equally rated lawyers but most were too ready to start spending $$$ rather than see if an amicable solution could be worked out. But my initial consultation/call with Kari was different. She (and Ann-Marie) were just as interested in me as the case. They worked with me and tried to do things my way - but - were very clear to point out that I was allowing myself to be bullied by my Ex and her lawyer. Wanting to minimize impact on our young adult children, my wife and myself I let myself be pressured into several bad decisions. Kari informed me why the decisions were bad and was willing to bring in other lawyers from her office for their opinions. Fortunately she slowed the process long enough for me to realize the mistakes I was making. Number 1 lesson learned: Listen to your lawyer. The next year and a half was total insanity. While I was a wreck, Kari was able to handle all the nonsense from my Ex's lawyer. Case went to court and the trial lasted three days. While Kari was very competent with managing the process and deflecting the crap from my Ex and her lawyer - She was on an entirely different level in court. Her questioning of my wife left no doubt to the judge who was primarily responsible for the failure of the family. Kari's closing statement caught me by surprise - hearing the cold hard facts reiterated and the emotion in her voice as she detailed the hell me and the kids endured. The judgment was definitely in my favor.

She worked above and beyond my expectations. She was very informative every step of the way and did not make false promises. She works very well under pressure and gets the job done. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Kari Fawcett in a divorce case is that she is super intelligent when it comes to law (she has been an attorney for many years), she is super nice and down to earth plus she is not playing around and has 0 tolerance for any bullshit or lies from the opposing side. She is a very aggressive attorney and she knows what she is doing and she will fully have your back on everything. Ms. Fawcett's partner, Ann-Marie Dunn is also super nice, sweet, extremely competent with the law and is a very hard worker. They both worked on my case together, and I call them "The Dynamic Duo." I truly believe, as in my case, that if you retain "The Dynamic Duo," you will have double the power of one attorney, you will have access to talking over the phone with one of them at any given time if the other one is in court, and you will have the superb chance of winning your case. They are definitely aggressive, which is why I retained Kari Fawcett in the first place. My case is over now and we won, but I feel so close to these lovely ladies, that I will be staying in touch with them on a monthly basis just to keep them in my life. I love these 2 attorneys. God forbid if I ever have another divorce, I would definitely, no hesitation, retain Kari Fawcett again and again. I approached Monica Hall as the inevitability of my divorce became evident. Monica is a seriously Good Egg. Divorce is a lousy thing no matter how you slice it. She made it a little less lousy and ultimately achieved the necessary outcome without dragging things out.
Monica has been an attorney in the Annapolis area for something like 35 years. I have known her for 10. When we decided to get to work she took a rational, practical, No BS approach as she walked me through the process. We even had a few laughs. It became quickly clear to me that she knows what works based on Law and her wisdom in the Annapolis judicial system. I came to rely on her judgement as she knew how to temper my comments in order to stay focused on a reasonable outcome.
She was professional, brutally candid, and (when needed) tough as nails.
You can't ask for more than that.
