I can’t say enough good things about Krista Nash. I was looking for a divorce attorney after my husband had filed for divorce. My counselor gave me Krista’s card and told me that she was very dedicated and then she said “Krista is a shark and she will fight for you”. I called Krista, she gave me the retainer cost that I considered very reasonable. Immediately we started working colleting the paperwork needed for the divorce. Krista explained to me the process and the time lines. Krista checked frequently with me during the process to make sure that all my questions were answered. I also was very clear with Krista regarding what I wanted to keep from the marital assets. Krista delivered an impeccable job and I was divorced in 90 days. Krista is a remarkable negotiator. I didn’t have to go to court all the details were negotiated between both lawyers. I didn’t need a mediator because Krista mediated all my requests. The parenting plan is written very clearly and there is no need to converse with the opposite party for any unclear information. I was able to keep my kids exactly the days that I wanted. Krista prayed for me at the beginning every of our conversations. I will never forget her words while I was going through this difficult process “The divorce is to protect you and your children”. Four years later and understand her words, my kids are happy and I am financially secure. My divorce process was very smooth and I don’t have any regrets.

Krista is very judgemental. She doesn't do her job to the best of her ability and makes excuses to the judge why she doesn't do her job I was a state paid client and every conversation was regarding money she didn't have the funds to provide the proper resources, she stated she had no safety concerns with me but yet she never came out to see her 7 year old client which she stated was 4 well if she and her firm would have done their job instead of trying to prove a point and BE A GATE KEEPER she would know his age not only that but if she paid attention to detail paperwork she would know more about her client ,she is not familiar with her statues she has to ask the judges help on statuse just a piss poor performance from her and her employees and the worst experience ever if your looking for a lieoryer their the right ones if your looking for a LAWYER look elsewhere she is not credible with her word or actions she seen no concerns with a child being around a gun which any person in there right mind would but for her to prove her point of power she did nothing to protect my son she will referee you to cps if the job is to much for her instead of getting off the case she would rather put more stress on a client she isn't in the best interest of children she is in the best interest of a pay check.

My experience with Krista is as a CFI. I have never been more shocked and disappointed. This woman holds power over people’s lives, and she testified in court that she didn’t have time to read all the evidence provided in the case. But she did have the time to still give a recommendation on its outcome. The CFI report contained fourteen sworn statements with witnesses saying they had seen father abuse and/or drink excessively around his children. Krista took this as evidence of Mother’s criminal masterminding abilities to coerce fourteen people to lie rather than as corroboration of Mother’s testimony that Father is abusive. Furthermore, she testified that “mother portrayed herself as a victim.” She didn’t even consider that perhaps Mother and her children were victims. She never reached out to any of the witnesses to discuss their statements. Krista said that based on what she saw, Father was an attentive and loving dad. She based this conclusion on a single two hour visit. As if people can’t behave accordingly for two hours. Finally, she called Mother selfish because she wanted to move back to her home and away from her cheating husband and his new family. Mother has spent her entire life working for her children. The nerve it takes to call a stay at home mom selfish is beyond measure. Please don’t put your fate in this woman’s hands, and certainly don’t do it if you are a woman. She’ll only see you as a selfish, play-acting victim and will not take the time to read or review the facts.

Was assigned to be a public defender for my in my case. Did not care about the case obviously, did not even view the video evidence i provided him, lied to me. Basically an extension of the DA's office. Should not be allowed to practice law.

I was appalled by the extremely shameful and unprofessional conduct of the Broomfield City Attorney, William Tuthill III, and the meltdown that he exhibited during a deposition he attended as a guest in the summer of 2016. Even attorney Eric Zipporin of Senter, Goldfarb & Rice days later felt compelled to apologize for the embarrassing display, making sure to emphasize the fact that Mr. Tuthill wasn't his client. I expect much more from a public servant representing a municipality the size of Broomfield, Colorado.

In the case of Jacob Russell Boyce v. Colorado et al., a prima facie analysis reveals egregious violations of constitutional amendments, federal laws, and international humanitarian laws by the defendants, including the state of Colorado, Judge Trujillo, and Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse. The defendants' actions infringe upon Mr. Boyce's First Amendment rights to freedom of speech and petition, unlawfully seize his property and children in violation of the Fourth and Fifth Amendments, deny him due process and a fair trial under the Sixth Amendment, subject him to cruel and unusual punishment contrary to the Eighth Amendment, and impose government debt akin to involuntary servitude prohibited by the Thirteenth Amendment. Additionally, the defendants' discrimination based on familial status violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964, while their actions against Mr. Boyce's disability and medical marijuana use may contravene the Americans with Disabilities Act. Furthermore, these actions are in breach of various articles of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, including the right to life, liberty, security of person, privacy, and an adequate standard of living. This pattern of violations underscores the urgent need for redress and justice in this case, which is supported by strong legal precedents and warrants swift resolution through the legal system.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.

  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
