These guys mean business. I was given Ben Crabtree's name from my brother. He was definitely the perfect fit. I highly recommend using them. The atmosphere here is always awesome. The whole crew here is just helpful and friendly. And then once you meet with the lawyers you instantly can tell they are great at what they do.

Really appreciated the concern and attitude that Mr Vernetti presented when I clearly was confused with my legal problem...He was patient as I asked multiple questions and made sure I understood his explanations for each question...I would certainly consult him whenever I needed an attorney and would recommend him to anyone who needs legal assistance...!!!

Bryan Vernetti is a wonderful attorney. From start to finish he worked with me to ensure my case was handled properly. Maggie, his paralegal, worked with me every step of the way and kept me informed about my case which really made me feel involved in the process. I highly recommend Mr. Vernetti to anyone in need of legal services!

DO NOT HIRE MR. VERNETTI He broke so many Arkansas Rules of Professional Conduct. Look elsewhere. Do not waste your time and money. First off, I hired him in March and it took him 2 MONTHS to even serve the Defendant with papers and that's only because I was the one to call his office and demanded they tell me why it's taking so long. Come court date, he did nothing. Literally nothing! He embarrased himself and me while the defendents lawyer is telling the judge "I emailed Mr. Vernetti my clients information and he should have it." He was NOT prepared whatsoever! He literally called me at 6pm the night before court trying to prepare after weeks of me attempting to keep him up to date on my case. The morning of court as we are waiting to enter the court room, he is having me fill out papers to the best of my ability racing against the clock before going in the court room. After court he fails to contact me for 3 weeks! I went by his office, nobody there. I left messages, no call backs. I sent emails, no response. I fired him through multiple emails and also requested an immediate itemized bill. Weeks go by and he finally responds through an email. Made excuses for his lack of communication and poor representation. It took him 3 MONTHS to FINALLY file a motion to withdraw from my case and gave me exactly 30 days to find a new lawyer. Retaliation? I think so. Now I have to hire someone new and bring them up to speed on my case. You have been warned about Mr. Vernetti. Steer clear of this man.

She was supposedly my children's lawyer through my divorce appointed by the courts. Seems more like she was my ex's lawyer. During the 6th month case I called twice to discuss different things and left a voicemail. I got a call back maybe 3 weeks to a month later, by that time I didn't even need nor want her involved. My lawyer couldn't get in contact with her when he needed to and said she was hard to get a hold of. She also told my lawyer that she needed to do a walk through before the court date to make sure my house was okay for my children. She wouldn't tell him what day she was going to come because she wanted it to be a surprise. That was about 3 months into a 6 month case. She never showed up. So apparently my children's safety was not that important to her. At the courthouse on the last day of the case she hung out with my ex and my ex's lawyer and avoided me like the plague then sent me a bill. There's much better lawyers out there who will actually respond to you when they're involved in your case. This is just my opinion. I don't know anything about Acacia other than being involved in my case, but I can understand when the other review says that she's hard to get a hold of.

Kevin has represented me in more than one case where he was very professional, made me feel comfortable and as if I were family. In my experience Kevin is very involved and takes everything he does seriously and seems to always have a positive mindset. Kevin has always turned my poor life choices into way better solutions than I even thought possible. For that, Kevin is probably one of my favorite humans to date! I can't imagine anyone giving him a poor review.

In my opinion he is very unprofessional, extremely rude, and not good at what he’s supposed to do. He had his head down several times in court! I can’t say he was asleep because I’m not sure but either way it was rude and SO unprofessional for anyone, let alone a lawyer! It seemed to me he did as little work as possible with the case. Definitely NOT enough work for how much he got paid, not even close! After hiring him I found out a nickname I’ve heard around town for him, Kevin status quo Bonner. Wish I would’ve known that prior to hiring him! I do not recommend

I hired Tom when I was in desperate need of some one not only to stand by me but fight for me. It was the most important case of my life. My children and I depended on him to fight for our future as a family. Not only was this actually in the best interest of everyone involved but it was his job that I had paid him for in advance. But neither seemed to matter much to him. Not moral nor professional responsibility concerned him, I learned far too late. As he kept reassuring me that he would preform according to my request, I reluctantly trusted him because I was other wise completely alone and this was my first time dealing with legal system. I trusted him only reluctantly because A) I wanted him to bring to light some important issues that I felt strongly about yet, he listened to most of what I was trying to tell him with a look of annoyance and dismissal. B) Tom Smith had not an ounce of compassion or understanding towards how serious and devastating this was for me. C) when I made a mistake that was quite human and hardly devastating to my case, I told Tom about it. He was inappropriately angry as if it was personal. He reacted by picking up his huge law book which lay in front of him and literally went to strike me over the head with it, barely stopping short. D) I got a strange feeling when I would mention my rights or the constitution and he would shut me down really fast by telling me that "better not mention the constitution in this courtroom." And by reprimanding me as if I were a child for putting in a request for the freedom of information act. Saying "it'll only make things bad for me." Later I learned that I was on the right track all along. If we had fought using my method I would've been better off if only just because, at the very least my side would've been heard. Mr. Smith completely refused to speak on my behalf in front of the judge like I had counted on him to do. Although I reminded him in court that day. First, by whispering, then by writing it down and placing it in front of him and last, as my frustration grew, by elbowing him and giving him a swift kick to the shin as the judge ruled not in my favor, and I saw the most important thing in my life slip away. He was lucky because he deserved far worse than a controlled tantrum. All because of my decision made out of desperation and an attorney's unknown motive my life has been ruined beyond redemption. I fight still, 4 years later and will not give up until I have my children safe with me. But the time that goes by is time forever lost.

Bryan was able to assist me in getting full custody of my daughter and an emergency hearing the day after christmas. As a father it is hard to get custody of your child in Arkansas but Bryan can get the job done if it is at all possible for you to get custody. He has been very helpful in many other instances where I needed quick legal advice and very reasonable with his cost compared to his competition in the area. If you are in a bind and need a quick & reliable lawyer Bryan is the guy you need to call.

In 2013 Robin Pace was my lawyer in a custody case,I can't say that he is an attorney.Pace toke my case making me believe that he were for me and when it all can down to it he ready was't,in my case i could never get in touch with him only when he wanted me to give him money he will never do as i asked him to do for me i had people ready to testify he wouldn't interview them,i had to go out and get my own evident and when i gave it to him he wouldn't even look at it.The day before court he called me talking about what are we going to do and i haven paid him yet and before he go into court with me he had to have $400.00 i get to court he comes out with my grand baby mother attorney than he tells me that the judge said that he wasn't going to except my evident he was my attorney i didn't believe that my attorney will be lying to me.Than after the court hearing he tells me that he was going back to DHS because they is the ones should have been in court but when i asked him about them he told me that they couldn't help me now i need to go to DHS for two weeks i went to his office i called ;some time no answer or he wasn't there i went through this for a month so i than gave up cause he just kept giving me the run around he went against me with my grand baby mother attorney and right after that i found out that he was her mother attorney and he didn't tell me.But one thing he didn't know is that i serve a God that is bigger than any man on this earth and i am His child and He takes care of the one he loves, what is done in the dark shall come to the light.I wouldn't recommend him to no one if he was the last attorney on this earth.

My husband and I used Robert Klock from 2008 until November 2014 I would NOT recommend anyone use him. He very rarely answers his phone and never returns phone calls he did not take my husbands case seriously he filed wrong paper work and he filed it late when i asked to get a copy of my husbands file to have a second opinion he said his printer was out of ink! so my husbands case was closed over a misedaminor charge at which time he had his permanent residence still... while being in immagration custody he never contacted my husband after he promised to do... so my husband wanted to appeal the case with a new lawyer but it was to later Robert Klock filed a paper stating my husband wanted to be removed so I am stuck here with 4 children my husband was our only source of income I just dropped out of my classes at UofA because at this point im about to lose everything... he also informed me that if I did not have the recite from my husbands 8000 bond in 2008 he will NOT give back my bond money oh and we did have another lawyer look over his case and he said he should have never been deported the only problem was the lawyers fault and said not to worry he will be giving back the bond money if he wants to or not!!!

I've been working with this atorney for almost two years now, he has not kept us in the dark abouting anything. And any paperwork involving something that must be done on his part has also been sent to me to keep me infored. The only bad thing I would say is he doesn't have a secatary therefore it is very hard to reach him via phone. So you must come into the office to get your questions answered. I would recommend you become very involved in your case and ask tons of question to better understand the process.

I hired Macy Nuckles to assist me in my divorce after being served divorce papers. I told her before I paid the thousand dollar retainer fee that I needed an attorney that would "go to bat for me." She never responded to that, but she took my case. This attorney did absolutely nothing for me but the worst thing that she did is one week prior to an important court case, she gave me a letter stating that I could either pay another retainer and follow her to her new law firm OR stay with one of her fellow partners. I had no choice but to remain at the firm and go with another attorney there. She also must have known that she had a new position weeks prior, and during this time I was sending her e-mails and asking her questions and getting charged a lot per e-mail racking up a bill that she knew she was never going to follow through with. I would never trust this attorney with my case or anybody else's case because she is dishonest. I am disgusted with her and the way she handled my case.

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.
  8. Do you have references from past clients?
Testimonials or references can provide insight into the lawyer's professionalism and effectiveness.
  9. What are the strengths and weaknesses of my case?
Understanding potential challenges helps you prepare and sets realistic expectations.
  10. Are there alternative ways to solve my legal problem?
Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
