While walking my dog in my neighborhood one Sunday morning, a dog launched himself through a screened window that had a hole in it.
The german shepherd grabbed my arm and mauled me severely while dragging me into the driveway next to the house. After emergency surgery to repair the damage from a compound fracture (including plates and screws) and a stay in the hospital, I began the search for an attorney to guide me through the legal process of addressing the incident.
Because of a previous auto accident when I was represented by Barry Lakritz, and because of the level of trust I had in him and his team, I reached out to his office to see if this would be something they could help me with. Once they saw the pictures of my arm prior to surgery, they immediately agreed to handle my grievance against the homeowner.
I understood how the process worked and that it might take some amount of time to gather evidence and process it through whatever necessary systems (i.e., insurance claim, court, etc). But, Lakritz Law took the time to keep in touch with me and explain exactly what was happening. They even came to the courthouse to view my personal petition regarding the disposition of the animal that attacked me (something they do not legally handle).
Lakritz Law worked quickly and professionally to address all my concerns. Their entire staff was extremely knowledgeable and responsive – with special gratitude to Erika for all her time and attention to the details. They have many years of experience working on cases such as this, and have my highest respect. They are the only team I would consider to represent me again, if needed. Thank you, Lakritz Law.

My wife and I unfortunately had an automobile accident in 2021, and Matt Brown and his team were referred to us by a family friend. They treated us well, took us seriously, and were extremely professional, and timely with how they handled our case with us. It was a three year process, and they stayed patient and kept with us the whole time. When it came to other parties or needing someone else to do something for us, they were aggressive in getting it done and made sure it was done properly for us. They took great care of us and our family, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a lawyer to represent them.

TLDR: Great Lakes employs attorneys that are not only terrible at their job, but who will overbill you and treat you terribly.
You are doing yourself a tremendous disservice taking your business to Great Lakes. Kim Browning in particular is the single worst attorney I have ever had to deal with. She is both not very good at the legal aspect of her job, nor the customer service aspect.
She ended up billing me 3x higher than her initial estimate despite the fact that the case proceeded exactly as anticipated without any sort of hiccups.
What's more, despite the case progressing exactly as anticipated, she never gave me a clear understanding about what the next steps would be.
Worst, she WILL NOT RESPOND TO YOU. Despite paying her over $10k, she could not bother to respond to simple "yes" "no" emails without me having to send them to her 3+ times.
Please take your business elsewhere. With Great Lakes and Kim, all you'll get is a massive bill and disappointment.

Kimberly Browning and Stephanie Taylor helped me through the hardest thing I had to go through in life. I lost my dad and didn't know what to do next. Kimberly over heard me talking to people at court trying to figure out what to do next and offered to help. They have been amazing the whole year they helped me with my dad's estate. I am going to assume that because he is court appointed attorney that he feels he can forget the oath he has taken . He don't return phone calls,not one. He lies, says he will come to discuss the case, multiple times he never shows up, don't even call to say he won't make it. Talks to my husband like he's on the other sides team he, is very rude, and literally should not be a attorney,he is arrogant and shows no interest in my husband's case at all.

Mike was incredibly prompt and attentive when he did my consult; I felt definitely heard out when explaining my situation and having to make some hard choices for my family, however Mike gave amazing advice to help guide me to a solution. Although it was only a consult, I plan to move forward and hire him for anything regarding family law. Mr Goldman, the head attorney of the firm I inquired with who referred me to Mike, called me after hours because of the urgency of the situation and gave amazing advice. I had hired another attroney to review some documents but I was not satisfied. I reached out to a friend who found Ray Sterling for me through an attorney website. From the beginning I was very satisfued with the experience. Ray's paralegal Dawn Estes was very professional and did a great job recording all of my information so that Ray was fully prepared for our discussion. He provided great insight into my situation and provided me with the pros/cons of our approach. In the end were were able to reach an agreement with the other party that was very satisfactory for me.
Ray was also very accessible to me given the deadline I was presented with. He responded quickly to all of my email messages and returned documents ahead of schedule. I am so glad thay I got a 2nd opinion and that I found Sterling Attorney's. I would highly recommend them.

Ray Sterling has been my legal counsel in an employment related matter for the past few months. 3 Different MI Lawyers told me they did not feel comfortable taking my case because they felt they couldn't win. Michael took my money and told me I could win, right off the bat...that should tell you everything you need to know. I will not take this review down unless his law firm makes things right with me and my wife.

The Synopsis: Michael "terminated" as he would say, our agreement because I missed two calls we had scheduled. CONTEXT: I missed his call because I was at my wedding rehearsal, preparing for my wedding, the next day. I truly believe there was a deeper reason as to why he terminated our agreement that he does not want to admit. However, I'm just going to speculate because I'm fearful Michael will come after me in the court room because his resources are much vaster than mine.

Having tax obligations and liens can be extremely stressful and emotionally exhausting. Alan was understanding and very supportive. He answered all of my many questions and was very responsive and knowledgeable. It took more time than anyone would like, but in the end he reduced my moderate 6 figure bill to just $l5K. I first met Kirk through a client. She was getting help revising an existing trust. I found his advice very practical, and was fairly priced. He was recommending what was best for her. So I had lunch with Kirk to learn more about him.
Since then he's helped a number of my clients, and has done some work personally for my family.
Kirk has been an excellent resource. When I come across an interesting estate problem Kirk has always been there, willing to lend professional guidance.
As a Financial Advisor, one of the risks in recommending others is that they might do something wrong. Financially there is no direct upside for me, but there could be significant client relationship downside if the other professional makes mistakes or treats my client poorly.

Without any knowledge of Cronin I was led to this lawfirm from a a bit of Intel where I ended up on the phone with a firm more local, but the team there couldn't help me. Next to custody issues, is there a hotter topic than vaccines/medical between two parents that are divorced and do not see eye to eye on said topic?? What I really appreciated is that Samantha may not share my same concerns about vaccines, but she guided me objectively and accurately through my possible options and described how she could be of assistance to help us draft an agreement. My ex is a very difficult and duplicitous person to deal with. As a very loving and involved parent herself, I know family law has to be challenging.
