I was in a fight in millerburg at a race track. No lawyers wanted to take the case because of the jurisdiction it was in. I contacted a lawyer and he referenced mr haupt who called Me. Under Ohio law 2905.1 section B I had EVERY right to stand my ground and protect myself and anyone in my party from danger that had occurred I even teyed to defuse the situation before throwing the punch that ended the situation. Me and Mr haupt went back and fourth for months. I gave him evidence I was protecting the people. Video proof. Voice recording from the person i protected stating I was defending her. It should have been an open close case. Mr haupt basically told me I was pleading guilty and slid my final payment back to me in the lobby of the court before trial (I have my cousin as a witness to this). When we went in he didn’t even attempt to fight for me he let me take a guilty plea because we agreed on the probation terms that I could use my medical marijuanna card due to the accident that occurred because of the courts (I was ran over coming back to my town from having to check in) before I was even coherent enough to go to court a month after my brain injury I had to plead guilty to the offense. After being on probation for one year they are changing my originally agreed to terms and taking my medication away from me. I tryed to reach out for help and Mr haupt has yet to respond even tho he told me that day to contact him in 9 months and he would get my probation dropped. I would represent myself in court before I would hire him to do anything other then file a motion.

Jim defended me in a sexual assault case that we won unanimously no debate. I was falsely accused. He is a good lawyer, he is patient with you, lets you give your opinion, has resourceful connections to assist you, a calm level headed person and fights for his clients. He keeps a tight defense as well, anything that can be used against you possibly he makes sure he doesn’t use it. If the state is trying to beat him they will really have to EARN it, he isn’t gonna give them ANYTHING. The best thing is he tells you the absolute truth. He doesn’t just tell you “you’re gonna win the case” just to get your money just like most lawyers do. He lets you know what you’re facing and tells you he is gonna put in effort. He is careful with his words and doesn’t try to make promises he can’t keep. Jim gave me a free consultation and even gave me some immediate advice before I even hired him that helped me beat my case in my opinion. If I wouldn’t have listened to his advice I would’ve probably lost my case because no matter if you’re innocent or not the police don’t care, they just want an conviction. He catches details that many may gloss over to help you. I had many people testify against me and he made all of them look like fools. Police and detectives included. He also is liked by alot of people in the courthouse which MATTERS ALOT. To everyone Anybody dissatisfied with his communication, his communication method is more old school, its best to text him asking what time is best to meet or when you can call than to text him about small things. He’ll remember whatever you text when you talk though.

Unless you have a high profile case that will result in a large settlement, I would not recommend. The hourly billing is too high and with a negative end result in our case (despite their agreement that baseless allegations were brought), it seems the only party who won was the representation. Very disappointed and disgusted. Where is there fair law in civil matters?

Not a very good attorney, felt as if I did more work then him. I felt overcharged for many of the services rendered, which failed to produce real results. I felt as if the attorney just wanted to make money not provide a real defense. Ended up releasing him prior to trial and settled it on my own because he was no good. I do not recommend him for a divorce lawyer. Stay away!

Mr. Jones was not a typical attorney. He is very straight-forward and gets directly to the point he does not candy coat. He does not feed me with crap that was useless to my case or looked to further any agenda to obtain more money. He told me up front what the cost would be for a type of case and that was also the same as other attorneys I have consulted with. I have hired Mr. Jones in the past years for related cases and will continue to do so. I have found Mr. Jones to be the only attorney that was different from the rest and that's what I liked about him the most. Great person.

Found Jones through the state for custody battle and shared parenting. He was very judgmental twords my financial situation as if everyone is supposed to have thousands of dollars laying around in their bank accounts. He was very uncaring, cold, disconnected and only cared about money. He stopped returning my phone calls and insisted he didn't get paid when he took all of the money directly out of my account that I had owed him. He charged me up front for a big case that ended up being very small, then I'm assuming didn't want to pay me back for all the hours he didn't use on my case so started not returning my phone calls.

My experience with this law firm was a profound disappointment. I was initially quoted $1,000 for an NDA and MSA, only to receive a final bill of $3,500—a 250% surprise increase without any prior discussion. Communication was non-existent throughout the 2.5 month process, which only resulted in two generic documents that ignored all my specific requests. The lack of professionalism was striking; the final documents were so basic, they were indistinguishable from online templates. Given the unreasonable delays, inflated costs, and disregard for client needs, I advise seeking legal services elsewhere. This firm does not respect its clients' time, money, or business.

David Smith is a horrible attorney. David Smith allowed a whole adjudication to take place without coming out in the lobby and retrieving me when I was 5min late. A motion to change temporary custody was filed by this attorney and was granted into an order but somehow got reversed and a hearing was held on this matter in which I was never informed. Another hearing was held after these hearings and again I was told it was between the agency and attorneys. This man failed to properly file evidence that would’ve got my children home in a CPS case. That evidence was held from March and not filed until July but when he did file the evidence he gave it straight to the agency in a discovery response when they never asked for a discovery. Ironically he filed a motion to terminate CPS involvement and to get my kids back that same day he filed the discovery response with the evidence attached (only the cover sheet made the official record). Had he filed the evidence (an affidavit, objections and then actual evidence to support those documents) in support of that motion it would’ve been granted. He failed to allow me to make the record. This attorney was granted a withdrawal after I gave him documents to file in which he chickened out. He never answered a single phone call, he never responded to important questions via email, he simply ignored me during the most crucial moments of the case.

It has taken me 5 years to write this. She may be knowledgeable in family affairs. But if your divorce includes a business and or property not so much. In my experience with her she let the opposing attorney pretty much lead her around. The whole process took much longer due to the number of consultants she had to bring in, it also drove the costs up. Good Luck.

This attorney provided representation in our divorce; our marriage was under 4 years with no kids. I am semi-retired; my business is in real estate; we acquired our marital residence and a rental home, and 2 used cars during the marriage, which is essentially all the significant assets that should have been at stake. We have similar middle-class incomes, so there were no spousal-support claims. Wife filed the divorce, and husband did not counter-sue her, but simply defended his assets; wife brought no financial assets into the marriage. Wife sued husband for close to $100K, representing her perception of real estate equity of husband's investments along with her attorney fees to be paid by the husband. Although Rubin subpoenaed all real estate mortgage documents, Rubin missed the obvious that substantial mortgage debt was originated during the marriage, negating any assumed positive real estate equity, and instead leaving each party liable for half of the actual negative real estate equity of over $90K; Rubin had used her own appraiser for valuations but that did not help; she just didn't do the simple math to subtract marital mortgage debt from appraised property values when the appraisals came in over 6 months before trial. Rubin dragged the case out to being 15 months long, ending in an absurd 3 day trial, instead of a simple 1 day trial, designed primarily to run up attorneys' billable hours for their clients. To increase her in-court time she even had an "expert witness" attorney appear in trial strictly to support her attorney fees, a tactic that may have ethically worked against the best interests of the client. Rubin failed to research appropriate real estate case law to support her case; the bill from Rubin was over $20K.

I was being pounded with false lies and statements during our divorce to keep me away from my child. Some lies were arrests some at the felony level. Once Rosemary gained my trust she work me quickly out of safe haven visits and into where my daughter could see me . Other lawyer I believe would not of cared. Rosemary told me my divorce was one of the worst messes she ever seen. (still is) With out rosemary I would have a 5 year protection order against me and never see my daughter. I Wish I could afford to hire her with the new stuff going on But if all goes the way it looks everything I told is now coming true and I pray I have custody and my new lawyer is just as bright and gogetter as she was! BTW just because you do not get everything you want in a divorce that is being picky. It is getting what is ultimately important. For me that was time with my daughter. I can re-buy all the stuff I lost. Rosemary also gave me her private number knowing I was in danger with what was going on and gave me ways to avoid the tactics of my ex wife. Rosemary also had to testify in a criminal matter because my ex used a court accident to harm me.

Her tone was anything but compassionate and would threaten me with choosing a parent on her own if I didn’t speak with her. While I understand this, I was an emotional teenager going through something traumatic and she did not try to comfort me once in this process. Did not listen to my brother and I in the slightest when it came to what we want, and ultimately gave custody to the parent that we did not want chosen. She purely cares about getting paid and does not care about the children she deals with. Awful. Please do not choose this woman for any case you may have.

Attorney Davies is a concerned listener who, upon meeting, gives you the sense that she cares about your situation personally and will do whatever it takes to see it through to the best possible outcome. She is willing to walk her client through the difficult months of the legal battle yet holds no punches when a hard look in the mirror is fitting. She treats you with dignity while helping you find focus and stay calm during the difficult times, offering helpful insight to those unschooled in legal matters. Toward the end of the proceedings I realized she had led me to become more objective about myself and my circumstances, enabling me to close the door and move on. Attorney Dean Grase is a slime ball. He was my second court appointed “attorney” in the Stark County Family Courts who failed to offer me adequate representation. He never filed documents he said he would, he attempted to make me sign a notice of termination in order to get my case file. When I said no he attempted to keep me from getting the case file. He literally filed paperwork with the courts that had the wrong date (day after) for my termination hearing and when I told him I wanted a new hearing he filed an ex parte order and withdrew as my attorney. I have multiple audio records of this man neglecting to help me. He’s not for you he’s with them.

Do not hire this person to represent you for stark county family court! He was always unprepared. He had his secretary retype anything I provided him as evidence. What would have taken me 15 minute to edit, he had her rewrite charging me extra hours of time for the effort. I brought up the subject of switching attorneys, but he said no one would take my case due to how far along into the divorce process as we were. He was a total con artist, promising me success and resulting in devastating failure. My ex got everything she wanted and more. I was awarded less visitation time with my children after the divorce was final than what I was receiving during the separation time before it was final. Financially, I was ruined. I'm embarrassed to say how much money I ended up paying this joker over the course of my case. Lastly, this guy made disparaging sexual references to me about various women who came up in our coversation. I politely changed the subject when he did. For example, he talked about the legs of a female professional involved in the case, and how he would totally bang her. This discussion was unprovoked by me. I never talked about such things.

Seth did a terrible job for me in family court. Honestly, I would have fared much better without an attorney. His incompetence cost me plenty, and not just the $10,000 I paid him. When it came time for court he refused to mount any defense at all. He missed one hearing altogether and showed up about ten minutes before trial and told me he wouldn't discuss his strategy. I see why. He didn't have one. He made no effort to defend me. He then came out and told me the judge had basically made up her mind and it wouldn't be worthwhile to go ahead with the trial. He seemed more interested glad-handing with the opposing attorney. I'm so sorry I trusted him. I can't be more emphatic. DO NOT HIRE THIS CLOWN

My paperwork was not properly filed and if I would have not done the legwork myself running paperwork to the courthouse last minute, I would have had to start my case from the very begininng with a new lawyer due to deadlines. Phone calls were never returned. Upon telling Mr Golub that I didn't feel confident with his work after he failed to file paperwork and blamed it on my bank after his secretary previously confirmed she had the paperwork, and lost my file, he became very uncomposed to say the least and told me to get out of his office. He yelled within inches of my face, spit flying, pointing his finger in my face. Telling me to come back when I feel more confident. He slammed his door and told me I could just sit there all day, that he wasn't helping me. He told me I was the worst client he has ever had. When he finally helped me, he became angry that I read what I was signing and slammed down the papers crumpling them up. Mr Golub also made several comments about my appearance and said we obviously have very different standards. When I asked to have information to complete courses he told me I couldn't take them yet because he owed them money. This was on two different occasions, months apart. Would never recommend him to anyone. It's not worth the extra couple hundred of dollars you save to be constantly stressed and worried that your case is not being handled properly. The case was taken care of on time. But I had to constantly follow up with them, and as previously stated, the final piece of Information the courts needed to settle my case would not have been in their hands if I had not taken it to them. He had the paperwork in his possession for 2 months.

The minute I walked into his office....I should have left and never came back. The disarray of his office should have been enough to make me leave, but this was my first time filling BKO so I didn't know what to expect. Mr. Golub is a nice man but is very unorganized. Further into the BKO I called him several times concerning reaffirmation letters for my car and house, after several attempts with no communication, I took maters into my own hands and spoke with many Customer Service Rep's and bank supervisors--the bottom line was, he needed to submit paper work--NOTHING WAS EVER SUBMITTED. I then went to his office (his secretary does everything) and made sure he submitted all necessary forms. This was one of the most stressful things I ever went through. He assured me by filling Chapter 13, I would not loose my home or my car--well, I almost did!! No thanks to Mr. Golub. To this day, I still don't know why I am paying him over $1,300. 00 when I did a crap load of work. I thought that was the attorney's job?

I paid over $10,000 to him to merely have a court-ordered visitation order enforced. I paid his girlfriend to serve subpoenas for witnesses that never testified. I gave him videos and instructed him to get Guardian ad Litem appointed. He never did it. I've got the emails to prove it. I gave him text messages from minor child which I cannot divulge in this review to inform court. He never did it. I had hearing and he never called ex-wife to testify then the transcripts DISAPPEARED. He did and did not do things that defied logic. You cant make this stuff up! I terminated him and had private investigation done and it turned up things that are so unbelievable that I would NEVER had hired him had I known these things. Immoral and unethical. Don't fall for the trap that he knows all of the magistrates and judges. He may very well know them but he uses that as a ruse to sell you out. Ive got the proof and there's a WHOLE lot more. There's a reason why he's not at Day-Ketterer anymore. He's as smooth as they come, that's why he's got away with everything before!

One has the right to represent oneself in the court per the constitution. This man when someone mentioned they found their information online laughed and said it had to come from a book. Look at how everything is online now. Even his advertisement. He will do anything to win his case even if it hurts the children involved and the future of others. But, he will make money.

unusually arrogant , even for an attorney. Acts kind and appears to care up until the point of taking your money, then acts too busy to talk for 3 minutes to give you an update or answer a few questions pertaining to the case. save yourself the elevated blood pressure from dealing with this man and find another attorney.

Then overcharges. Professional buyout. He turfed all the work to a CPA. The CPA did a great job and charged me $1000 for good work. Feltes then shuffles the papers sent by the CPA and charges $5300. Three times he asked me for my mailing address and still mailed paperwork to the wrong one. Three times I asked him a simple question about terms and three times he ignored me. That is until he wrote a three page memo after the fact that probably cost $1000.

Hired this attorney to complete some paperwork including wills. After the paid consultation ($125) I was given no time frame on when the documents would be completed. After a few months I emailed to follow up. Was told things were almost done. Fast forward 8 months and I still have no documents. Repeated calls and emails have been completely ignored. Awful experience that cost $125 for no results
