Lerner and Rowe did a wonderful job. I appreciate the time and effort they put into my case and I'm happy with the outcome. Amy, my case manager, was indeed a big help. I know I e-mailed her a whole lot but she was very helpful and prompt when responding back to me! I could call Jeff he would immediately answer all my concerned question. He fought for the most on my case! He made sure to ask if the offer was ok.. Overall I would definitely use them in the future if an accident occur!

Palmer Law Group is truly amazing! They are knowledgeable, considerate, patient, and understanding. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a legal group to represent them. They made me feel valued and they listened to all my concerns and explained every step in a manner that was easy to understand and at no point did they make me feel inadequate about my level of knowledge about the law. I needed some who was a “no nonsense” kind of person and Ann is perfect for the job. She had my best interest in mind and focus and made sure those interest were prioritize at all times. She also made me feel very welcomed as she took my divorce case. She also does family law and I would go to her again without a doubt if I ever need representation again!

We met Ann after our last law firm dropped the case 3 weeks before trial. It is a pretty simple adjustment to visitation but we are dealing with a very unreasonable mom. Ann took the case and has been on top of it from the start. It is a pleasure to work with her and I know that regardless the outcome on 04/01/2019 she has worked hard and left it all on the table.

Ann Palmer was very thorough from the first consolation to the actual trial. She did all the background checking and fact checking for everything that came up during that time frame. Ann made sure that my child's safety was priority #1. At the end of this whole ordeal, I'm so happy that I chose to hire Ann Palmer.

Mr Sena from the initial interview about my casa was upfront of the different avenues that he could help me. He represented me at court and negotiated with the DA a plea deal that I was looking for. WE RETAINED JAMES TO HELP US RESTORE MY SONS CIVIL RIGHTS. THE CASE WAS INITIALLY DENIED BY THE COURTS, HOWEVER, WHEN WE WENT TO COURT HIS KNOWLEDGE OF MY SONS CASE WAS IMPRESSIVE, HE WAS FACTUAL, PROFESSIONAL, AND WELL PREPARED. GUIDANCE TO PREPARE THE FAMILY FOR PRESENTATION IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL. MY SONS CIVIL RIGHTS WOULD NOT OF BEEN RESTORED WITHOUT THE ASSITANCE AND GUIDANCE OF JAMES AND HIS STAFF.

I hired tom larson for a child support/custody case and i told him i wanted back pay for child support. So when court rolls around i find out from the judge that he did not include it in the petition and therefore the judge asked my sons absent father if he thinks he should pay child support and he of course said no. This case was back in 2022 but it still upsets me. Find someone else better

Look no further for the top-notch criminal defense attorney than Joshua Wallace. I stumbled upon Wallace serendipitously while searching for legal representation following a night in custody. Recommended to me by another law firm, Wallace exceeded all expectations. From our initial consultation to the courtroom, he provided comprehensive guidance, ensuring I was well-informed about my case, potential outcomes, and defense strategies. Wallace's courtroom prowess is unparalleled; his arguments are compelling and commanding, leaving a lasting impression on both the judge and the prosecution. When faced with challenging conditions of supervision post-release, Wallace fearlessly advocated for me, successfully securing modifications that significantly improved my situation. Throughout the entire process, Wallace prioritized my well-being, consistently considering my thoughts and preferences while navigating the legal complexities. His dedication to achieving the best possible outcome was evident in every interaction, earning my trust and admiration. I wholeheartedly endorse Joshua Wallace to anyone in need of exceptional legal representation in criminal matters. Trust in the countless positive reviews and make the decision to reach out to Wallace—you won't regret it.

Mr. Alexander is most helpful, however he is hard to reach because his personnel do not relay messages to him and also refuse to set up appointments to speak with him. I was told she will not set up an appointment to waste his time. Excuse me, ensuring my husband's safety is not a waste of time! Additionally, Jeannie is rude, and incredibly unprofessional. Jeannie also hung up on me. I reached out several times for my husbands discovery packet and she mentioned that it is not a priority of hers and that she is busy and too busy to care if he get his discovery packet on time. It is sad because Mr Alexander is very straight forward and overall a good attorney but the staff he keeps very unprofessional! All who have been incarcerated know how important it is to have the legal paperwork submitted timely.

She did a very good job talking herself up and how she was going to help me get my kids back. She explained how she has been known to be a "bully" in the court room. I gave her my retainer and hardly ever heard from her. She explained that we were going to fight for all these things in court. When it came time for the court case to be heard by the judge, she didn't brief me on anything prior to the hearing. She did not even ask for anything from the judge that her and I agreed on. It's as if after she talked to opposing counsel, she got scared or came to an agreement with them behind my back. No citing cases, no asking for anything from the judge. After we got totally demolished by my Ex wife's attorney, I went back to her and paid a retainer for her to file paperwork showing my ex is in contempt of court orders. I paid the second retainer and she never did anything. She didn't file paperwork or communicate with me. It has been almost a year since I paid the second retainer and I haven't heard anything. There is no communication with Georgina law, rarely do they return phone calls. Not a single thing that was discussed was even asked for in court. After I paid her the first retainer, I realized that she didn't care about my case or the fact that I was fighting for my kids. I got fooled into paying a second retainer so my ex would be held in contempt of court orders, and that paperwork never got filed. There was no genuine effort put into my case. If there is a lawyer that cares about fathers rights, please send them my way. Thank you.

I would never recommend Mr. Weagant. He speaks about people disrespectfully using bias behavior. His wife is a judge and they tried to have my mothers rights served under his wife as he served as the kids best interest attorney. He does not make eye contact, does not shake hands, call people statistics and never give the respect to client in the appropriate manor.highly unprofessional, speaks opinions and not the law. He has never once came and spoke to my mother or me in regards the her children and the child abuser he said is the best for those kids. Boy only if you only knew Mr. Weagant how those kids are living in hell. read the counseling notes look at the kids grades they are not doing great as your client sat on the stand and lied. If you would if you did your job according the law and not your relaxed ways.

I would not recommend him to anyone. He has done nothing for my son, except promise things that never happen. He says things about his client, that he should never say. He does not care. He won't return a phone call , and let family know what's going on. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Terry has helped me on and off for years. He is a sleeper - someone you think isn't on it but that's because he's about 10 steps ahead. He doesn't call/handhold to save you legal fees. If you hire him, you're in really good hands.

Get your Brothers Girlfriends Neighbors Dog to represent you. He will care more of your well being and do more to help than Terry will. He did litterally nothing for me. Then after a year of continuance. He tried litterally "dropping" me b4 Any movement on my case was realized. Then, after a year of telling me I had an excellent case - he did a 180 and told me to take a plea. This guy shows such contempt for his own clients. He is so rude, unhelpful & will flat dismiss you with such a flippant attitude. Run. Don't walk. Away from this horrible human being.

I am so disappointed with Terry and Sutton Law. Our consult was very good we liked him right off the bat we signed a contract and paid the man $30,000.00 yep 30k My son ended up in court 5 times and we had 1 consult - I am the one who went through discovery and filled him in. Terry told my son he felt very strong he could get the charges dropped and wanted another 10k-16k to take this case to trial. When my son chose not to take to trial that was then end. Terry didn't show up for court one morning after Covid hit even tho I called the office the day before to confirm ( left voicemail) his case had been postponed. - thanks for the communication !! There were 8 other co defendants in this case and after speaking with them the most any of them had paid was 14k for representation. And they got the same deal. Please look elsewhere and do your due diligence- even when your situation may be scary take the time to ask the hard questions

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.

Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.

Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
