Lauren Leffler was just the attorney my family needed. My spouse and I approached her with the thought we were making small edits to our wills, but she helped us realize that we needed a full revamp. She was really knowledgeable about our unique needs and we feel secure that our wishes will be upheld thanks to our documents that she created. It would not have happened with the old ones. We’re so relieved to have found her!
A few months later, we needed to update my parents’ documents, this was much more of a time crunch than ours. After our good experience, I reached out to her for help. She got their documents done with the speed we needed. She was equally knowledgeable about my parents’ needs, which were very different from my own. We’ve been doing a lot of meetings for my parents these days getting their affairs tidied up, and Lauren has been the only one who has come to the initial consultation meeting having read their existing documents in advance.
Their office is easy to get to, but for my housebound parents, she came to their apartment.
My sibling plans to use Lauren to update their documents, my other sibling who lives out of state is disappointed they can’t use her (they asked).
We’ll definitely call Lauren in the future for any needs that arise.

I hired Lauren to help me with a guardianship case. There are not enough good things I can possibly say about my experience with her. She gave immediate attention to all the items needed in the case and returned emails and phone calls quickly. She seemed to always be one step ahead of the case. Jonathan Scott Smith is the most professional and knowledgeable attorney I have ever met. After a few months of research, I drove almost an hour to ask him to take a case previously held by another attorney. I knew after our first meeting he was the only person that I would trust going forward. The case was capped by my coverage and full of complications. Not only did he take my case, but he also won my case! He counseled me throughout, made it very convenient, fought for me no matter what came our way, even during Covid, and stood his ground. I was consistently kept in the loop of information and prepared for deposition and settlement. He was always 10 steps ahead and prepared for everything, even the unexpected which did arise. His confidence and knowledge gave me confidence when speaking in settlement. Linda in the office is amazing! I was a victim of a slip and trip accident at a prominent casino. 4 other firms turned down my case. Mr. Smith was my last chance. I am glad I made the call to him when I did. He fully explained that cases like this are a hard win, because the property has to accept liability. He took on my case and was diligent with acquiring all document from my medical providers. This was a long case held up by my very own medical providers, but Mr. Smith persevered and kept after what was needed. All of this while he experienced office staff changes, various paralegals errors combined with a strong caseload of his own. The fruit of the tree came to pass, he secured me a settlement that exceeded my minimum acceptable settlement.... SIGNIFICANTLY.. exceeded. I would recommend this firm and Johnathan Smith to anyone who feels they need a real advocate and someone who will do the work for you.

Meg was recommended to me and handled my contentious protracted divorce. She was extremely responsive and had a special ability to "calm" the emotions and stay focused on the case issues. My girlfriend and I got involved in a domestic violence case a couple of months ago.
We both were foreigners and have no such experience before on how to find a good attorney and how to win the trial.
After some research online and word of mouth, we decided to trust AVVO and trust David.
David was a helpful listener and man of wisdom. He can always point out the key points of our case.
Finally he convinced the state of attorney office that everything was just a misunderstanding and they dismissed the case then.
We both are very happy and appreciate the life we are having now.

Mr. Davis has worked with me three separate times. He prepared my Will and all those papers you have to have now days - the Power of Attorney and Living Will, financial papers and on and on. My head was swimming. He spent a lot of time with me and made it as painless as possible. It's not fun making a Will.
The second time I worked with him, he handled the probate of my father's estate. The third time was the probate of my mother's estate. He was kindness, itself, both times. It's never easy when a parent dies yet he was able to be comforting as well as helpful. He spent more time with me than he probably should have and made sure I understood everything that was happening with the estates.
I highly recommend him to anyone with elder law concerns. He leaves no stone unturned and makes sure you, the client, understand and are aware of the ins and outs of the legal stuff older people have to deal with.

Jennifer Matthews Is a phenomenal Lawyer. She worked with me on my Traffic (DUI ) case, and helped guide me every step of the way. She was very patience and understanding of what was a very sensitive case for me (Due to my secret clearance and military background ) . I was worried, and nervous about what was going to happen to me, and I also thought it was going to hurt my career. Jennifer was very discreet while working on my case, which was very reassuring.
Before I decided to look her up, I visited quite a few lawyers to talk about my case, and needless to say they were less than helpful. Most of them made me feel more like a number than they actually cared. I was running low on time and I went to go this one lawyer who was going to have me just take the quick and easy way out (take a deal / Plea), and was going to charge me an astronomical amount to do so. Needless to say I was thinking about just representing myself that is until I came across Jennifer Matthews name on a review website. I was going to give one last person a try, because it was starting to become draining seeing so many people and explaining the case. I started by giving her a call and talking to her on the phone, I already within 5 minutes of talking to her felt a little more at ease. To be honest I was still skeptical though, most of the people that I spoke with on the phone sounded nice and like they cared... at first. I went to meet her in person (still skeptical and nervous) and as she introduced herself and I sat down I felt more comfortable than I did with any of the other people I talked to. We reviewed my case together and discussed what my options were at that time, and what I needed to do to get the case moving forward. She was straight forwarded with me from the start. She didn’t sugarcoat anything, and she put everything on the table. I knew everything from our first meeting, which was nice. I never felt like she was going leave me hanging or charge me extra later. I really liked how she talked to me as a person, not belittling me or treating me different because of my case. I can honestly say I trusted her.
As my court date came closer, she kept in touch on a regular bases and making sure we had everything we needed for the case. I never felt unprepared nor unimportant. The day of the trial she met me at the courthouse where she was fully prepared for the case. She knew what she was doing. She kept in contact with the court the whole time. Oh and not to mention her attention to detail, she found some inconsistencies in the reports on my case, which was for my benefit. Needless to say I would consider my case a huge win and I don’t think it would have ended the way it did with any other person by my side.
I’m sure this goes without saying I would most certainly recommend Jennifer to anyone who needs an amazing defense lawyer. She will be by your side every step of the way, and will not leave you hanging. She is the best, and It would be in anyone’s best interest that is in need of help to look her up.

My son was arrested for some pretty serious charges. I had never had to deal with anything like that before and didn't know where to begin. A friend who had Jennifer for a DUI recommended her. She was amazing! She helped us find a bail bondsman in the middle of the night. Met with us as soon as he was released. She really listened to us and took an immediate interest in the case. She took all the time necessary to explain the process, the court system, everything until we felt comfortable. When we took our case to Alexandra she was the fourth lawyer we had seen but the first one to say that our case was feasible. Thanks to her we were able to get our hardship case approved. It took us about two years to complete, and she honestly warned us up front that this would take a long time and be costly. She made no guarantees and was quite ethical. I needed to speak to an attorney regarding an emergency situation and Shannon took the time to speak with me at length during a consultation but their firm only charged me for one hour - even though I went way past that. She said it was important that she understood my situation and needs. She listened but asked tough questions and even though some of them were hard to answer, she helped me understand the situation more fully.
She gave me great legal advice. It was practical advice but also very smart advice that helped me calm the situation so my spouse and I could talk things through a bit. I definitely left my consultation knowing my rights and I was glad I talked to her up front. I strongly recommend her.
