I got rear ended in January of 2023 and my case is being closed out today, August 30, 2024. This did take a little longer than I anticipated, but I can also understand how busy things can get. Overall, I had a good experience. Various people would check in and give updates. I do wish there was slightly better communication at times, I did have to explain something 2-3 times to different people so I think internal communication between the employees could improve. But overall, everyone I spoke with throughout this case was kind and someone was always there to answer my questions.

After I was sued, avvo led me to Jim. I consulted one other attorney but Jim impressed me enough not to look for any other and hire him for my case right away. My litigation went for over 3 years, but Jim along with Lauren and the whole staff supported me right till the end. The best thing is whenever I had a question, I didn't have to wait for the answers. All the matters were handled in a timely manner. Mary was awesome and I never had to worry about any missed dates or filings. Jim is always open to input, listens to you and explains the steps well. He is very professional, diligent and has a very good work ethic. He laid out all the scenarios before moving on to different phases in the case. It gives me great pleasure to supply this commendation for a man of great wisdom and insight, Mr. Bill Cumming, our attorney who successfully defended our case.
I was impressed by his services. He took time to explain legal terminology and methods employed in our case using speech that gave us clarity and understanding. His listening ear is one of his many hallmarks.
Mr. Cumming took great care to manifest the road ahead of us and the direction and delays which might confront our course. The case against us was cruel and overwhelming, and stretched over many years. We received first class treatment, always professional and courteous. We also sensed compassion and empathy in just the right amounts. During the long route, Mr. Cumming, in his tireless approach, showed himself to be a strong defender, encouraging us along the way as our case took some turns. I was approached by my primary multi billion $ supplier to purchase my company. I was sure I could negotiate the deal myself and use a local Minnesota attorney for the details. After my first phone conversation I realized I was hopelessly out of my league. I was put in contact with a consultant I had worked with previously and he suggested I include Bill Cumming of Cumming and Associates as my attorney. What a home run that turned out to be. My stress level initially was off the charts when I saw the scope of the due diligence required to close the sale. Obviously, Bill handled the legal portions. He proactively told me not to be overly concerned about my legal record keeping because he knew most small business owners didn't have time to keep track of all the details and he could help me with that. The peace of mind that gave me was tremendously comforting. Bill didn't make me feel embarrassed that I didn't always do a good job keeping my corporate minutes up to date while trying to run my company. The finished due diligence product he delivered was well received by the purchaser even though Bill pushed back on some of their proposals. I struggle with legalese and was pleased with the attention to detail Bill paid, to my benefit.
All in all, what would have been one of the most difficult experiences of my business life turned out to be remarkably smooth thanks to Bill's efficiency, demeanor and sense of humor.

I had tried pursuing legal action with a different lawyer before and it was a nightmare. The lawyer had me gathering all the medical and insurance info and I felt like I was doing all of the work myself.
At the 2 year mark I wanted to throw in the towel. The guy that hit my car at $15,000 insurance cap, my unpaid medical bills had hit $30,000 and my out of pocket expenses had hit $4,000.
Luckily Mike was referred to me by a trusted coworker, and I am so thankful for that. He is relentlessly persistent in not only closing a case, but doing it fairly and in the best interest of his clients. Even that far into it, Mike told me that he felt he hadn't exhausted all avenues and he would like to keep pursuing the claim. I told him go for it but if he ever felt it was a no win situation, to just let me know. I trusted him completely. Not once did he ask me for money. He said my job was to focus on my well-being and that he would handle the rest.
Every now and then he send me a form to sign with a short note that he hadn't give up. Mike just asked for phone numbers and addresses and any names of people I had talked to, and that was the extent of my efforts. Through a very compelling letter-writing campaign, Mike closed my case with great results.
Results: The medical bills were all paid, I recouped my $4,000 Plus more.

Mr. Beggs responded promptly to my message on AVVO and invited me to call him. He also returned my call quickly. My question was regarding the theft of my wedding rings from my hotel room. Mr. Beggs could have easily benefited by persuading me to engage his services. Instead, he walked me through the pros and cons and using his services vs filing in small claims court. He told me how to file and provided some tips on how to present my information to the judge. He didn't make me feel as though my situation was unimportant - he simply wanted the most productive, cost-efficient outcome. He gave me the information I needed and confidence to proceed on my own. I wish to express my gratitude to Brian for his insight and effort in assisting me with a home buyer client situation. As a real estate broker, rarely have I encountered situations where a seller refuses to refund a buyer’s deposit when an offer to purchase a home is canceled. This case was especially surprising—and frustrating.
I have engaged Brian's representation in the past, with success. This time was no exception.
The challenge arose due to the contract being unclear on this specific matter, but Brian helped clarify my client's legal entitlement to a refund. As a result, the seller quickly acquiesced. I was injured at work and needed surgery. I was handling my case myself up to the point that my surgery failed and my doctor was saying that I was fine and could go back to work even though I was not fine. Mr. Morris found me a much better doctor. After a second surgery I feel better although not 100%. Mr. Morris did a good job of keeping me informed during the process. In the end my case settled.
