In late January of 2024, I retained Tricia as my attorney to represent me in multifaceted case after having lost confidence in my previous attorney. Tricia and Emily immediately got to work on my case and from there my situation begin improving bit by bit in a consistent manner. I was treated with compassion, understanding, and at times patience, while simultaneously being represented in an ethical, honest, and when needed, aggressive manner throughout my case. Tricia responds to communication in a timely and concise manner, and does not leave you feeling out in the cold during your time(s) of need. Tricia will also actively work for you in a manner that is meant to save on billable hours. My experience from the beginning to the end was beyond positive. The secretary that took my phone call was incredibly helpful and empathetic to my situation. My attorney, McKenzie was diligent about responding to me within a timely fashion along with my concerns while listening to my questions and answering them. She put forth 150% effort to represent myself against Mills County School District. I truly believe that she is one of the attorneys that fights for the greater good of humans. Not only for their civil/human rights as well as taking into account what I was up against personally with a child that has disabilities. She does truly care about seeing Justice in a system that is broken. After the sentencing of my guilty vetdict she spoke with me for quite some time. I believe in my heart that she proved the school district to lack accountability and resources for parents of children with disabilities. I left today knowing that this town is not able to own their lack of responsibility on their end even moreso than I had already been aware of throughout our time fighting to get help from a District that cares more about monetary value than they do a child's well being and education. I would refer McKenzie and trust her with another case if I ever had to be represented again. It is not just a job for her but a passion that radiates from her soul. I wish everyone at this office the best and would like to say that in my eyes we had a win today. We did prove beyond a reasonable doubt of all the efforts that have been used by this single mom/dad. Unfortunately, Mills county is more about money than they are helping families that do not meet their socio economic expectations.

Got a call back for a consult and all I received was snarky and rude remarks. It was really off-putting. I was trying to get with someone to figure out if part of my lease was illegal and when I asked about the state law I received the remark of, "Well why do you need me then it sounds like you already know everything...." Just.....wow. I expected more of this place with the great reviews they had. Lawyers are called because people need help with navigating the law. I didn't deserve to be treated with such disrespect as I was. They might be good in other litigation but I do not recommend calling them for a tenant/landlord issue. I'll take my money elsewhere. Very disappointed.

I reached out to Mr. Rater about a speeding ticket and license suspension issue. He informed me that I may only have a small chance at fixing my issue and I felt any chance was worth it. In less than 24hrs he had my ticket reduced, my fine reduced and my license suspension overturned. He is thorough, knowledgeable, honest with expectations and a pleasure to work with. He is an expert in dealing with DOT.. I highly recommend mark rater!!!

I was on a depressing situation due to an incident of confronting the person that almost killed me in an almost car accident on W Broadway. The other party’s parents pressed charges of assault on me for blocking a phone's camera, which is ridiculous knowing the other person almost killed me and hit my car. Because of my situation as a casual employee and a student, I was depressed that I would have a bad record and would never be able to defend myself properly without a good legal counsel. I searched online for a good legal office that is suited to my situation, and I found Mr. Rater. I saw his profile and his reviews are highly recommended. I contacted him via email and he responded promptly. It was like an answered prayer for me. He let me talk to him on his office phone and told him what happened. He was willing to help me in any way he could. From that moment, I felt that Mr. Rater had a big heart and I found a savior. On my court day, he showed up and presented my case to the judge. My case was dismissed since my case was no record in the system. After the decision, me and Mr. Rater part ways. I was embarrassed that I couldn’t give much to him, but I will never forget his kindness and compassion. I appreciate his legal help very much and I highly recommend Mr. Rater. We have been blessed to know attorney Scott Rogers of Peters Law Firm in Council Bluffs, Iowa, for more than 6 years. His guidance and compassion have been immeasurably valuable to us.
Our parents were reasonably independent and living in their own house, thanks to frequent visits, meal preparations, housework, errands, and facilitating trips to doctors by their daughter Jeannine who lived an hour away. Mom had Alzheimer’s disease, so Dad did his best to handle her medications. Our Dad was secretive about their financial affairs, so we had very limited knowledge about their powers of attorney, wills, investments, and preferences for potential future living arrangements.
Then at the end of 2014, Dad suffered his second broken hip from which he was never to fully recover. What had been some cognitive and memory problems collapsed into obvious dementia. Due to the severity of his physical and mental condition, and our Mom’s worsening Alzheimer’s disease, the doctors at the hospital would not release Dad until we had found a skilled nursing facility for both our parents.
It was then that we contacted our parents’ attorney, Scott Rogers. Scott immediately stepped up to bat for us as we were thrust into the labyrinth of decisions and actions we needed to take on behalf of our parents. He continually guided us through the process of making the best possible decisions for our parents, and through the actions needed to initiate those decisions. He helped us locate and act on their durable powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, wills, and trust documents. He was always there for us as we decided on our parents’ future living arrangements, found the best skilled nursing care for them, pulled assets from their accounts to pay their bills, arranged for the sale of their house and cars, and prevented them from driving. As our Dad and then our Mom eventually passed away, Scott provided critical advice and guidance in handling their affairs. We also greatly appreciate Scott’s personal support, even to the extent of a funeral home visitation upon our Dad’s death.
Scott has been God sent. Without him, we would not have known what questions to ask, let alone how to answer them. His professional guidance, his personal compassion, and his overall support were far more than we expected. In the strongest terms possible, we highly recommend attorney Scott Rogers.

My wife was in a car accident in Council Bluffs. It was a serious car accident where a lives were lost. Thankfully she was in the backseat with her seat belt fastened so her injurious weren't as serious as the other passengers. The first law firm we contacted came to visit us in the hospital. This, we thought, was a kind gesture. Rather than comforting us however, the lawyer gave us a bleak outlook and pressured us to sign an agreement right then and there! We did not have health insurance at the time so the honesty was appropriate but the timing was horrific. Thankfully we decided to wait to sign the contract. A friend told me about Kris Madison at Stuart Tinley Law Firm LLP. When I called Kris a few days latter (didn't reach him) and he called me back, first thing he asked was how we were doing. Corny I know, but that meant a lot at the time. He also asked when we would like to talk and even made a trip to our home to make things easier for my wife. From the day we signed that contract, not only was he diligent but also made it a point to keep us informed every step of the way. He also, went out of his way to explain the process rather then confusing us with terms meant to inspire confidence. At the end, not only were we given a good settlement but even if we did not get the settlement, we were really happy with the diligence and dignity in which our case was handled. Highly recommend!

Kris Madsen has represented me in two motor vehicle accidents. I live 100 miles away from his office and he and his office staff were very accommodating in sending documentation back and forth through email. He was always readily available when I had questions or concerns. His investigation of the facts in each case was thorough and I found his advice to be sound. Additionally, his personality is congenial and thoughtful as I felt that he genuinely cared for me and my best interests. Mark Rater goes above and beyond for his clients, and or anyone else who is in need of any assistance; not only does he respond to questions in a timely manner, but he also is very honest and helpful. Mark is someone who I would recommend 100% in any case you may have, for his knowledge and efforts to help others. Many lawyers may take every penny you have in order to benefit their own well being, but Mark is someone who would put his self in your shoes and work with you in order to better your life or situation and make sure that you know and understand your case 100% or the situation, and wouldn’t leave with any un answered questions. In my opinion; as a mother with many questions, and having children to protect, I feel 100% confident in his words and knowledge that I can move forward with my day to day life and feel confident in my case.

Ryan represented our business in a case where we were named as Third Party Defendants. He was successful in proving we had done nothing wrong and all claims against our business were released.
Ryan also went on to file a counter suit in which our business was able to recover our legal fees regarding the lawsuit.

Muldoon Attorney who didn't give in and who didn't give up he kept me informed on the statues and laws he would contact me when he heard from the individual we were suing not only would he ask me what I felt about the case but he was interested in my health how I was feeling and asked me about my job my issues that were going on such as if I had a problem at work or if I was having something going on at home asked me how the day was such as weather asked me how my family was doing when he had found out about my father he was concerned when I lost my job from papa johns. If I called he returned my calls with in that day kept me informed on what the lawsuit was doing on a weekly basis I am very satisfied the outcome of my lawsuit and he has been a confidant on many things that will remain between us I truly think he even learned a lil southern words lol

I contacted Mr. Cox due to an estate I was an heir to had turned one sided.
Mr. Cox did an excellent job guiding me in situations and being the “go between” person between the Estate lawyer, the Executor and me as they both told me not to contact them.
Mr. Cox and his assistant (Sherri) are very understanding, did not rush me and would get back to me the same day with answers to my questions.
The entire office made me feel comfortable.
The estate has taken awhile to close but without Mr. Cox assistance, it most definitely would still be open.

We have been in business for almost 20 years. We have been sued a couple different times- some more serious than others. In all cases John represented our company better than I could have expected. In the all the years our company has existed, we have been sued for negligence twice. Both times, our insurance company chose John McHale to represent us, and both times we were found not guilty of any wrongdoing by two different juries in two different counties.
I give John McHale EXCELLENT ratings on his research, his detail, his knowledge, his courtroom presentation, his strategy, and his preparation, as well as his professional treatment of us, the judges, juries, witnesses and yes even the plaintiffs side. Additionally his communications to us before, during and after both trials was superb.
Being rather new at this "being sued" thing, I was reassured when about half way through the first trial, the Clerk of Court, during a recess, said to me "I've been doing this for a lot of years and you never know how these trials will turn out, but I can tell you that your lawyer is good.......really good. I wish he lived here."
Beyond a doubt, If ever we find ourselves in a similar situation, I want John to represent us!

I left today knowing that this town is not able to own their lack of responsibility on their end even moreso than I had already been aware of throughout our time fighting to get help from a District that cares more about monetary value than they do a child's well being and education. I would refer McKenzie and trust her with another case if I ever had to be represented again. It is not just a job for her but a passion that radiates from her soul. I wish everyone at this office the best and would like to say that in my eyes we had a win today. We did prove beyond a reasonable doubt of all the efforts that have been used by this single mom/dad. Unfortunately, Mills county is more about money than they are helping families that do not meet their socio economic expectations.

My experience from the beginning to the end was beyond positive. The secretary that took my phone call was incredibly helpful and empathetic to my situation.
