Hired Paul Vorndren of Jones and Keller for a civil lawsuit. Representation was poor. I had to stay on top of everything. I had to remind him of decisions made by the court on certain filings. He had apparently forgotten. Too late I learned that he did not request vital information from opposing counsel during discovery and this definitely weakened my case. His negotiating skills are poor. He did not obtain all the funds from defendant that the court had ruled on. I have called him several times and emailed several times asking for copies of communications between him and opposing counsel. He has not once returned my calls or answered my emails. I am not sure as to the ethics of this practice but it is certainly a questionable business practice. I will have to search out from other sources about ethical issues. I would never recommend him or the firm

I hope for the future Google Reviews can provide an option of (—) Negative starts in the mean time I’m gonna rate this little mediocre house “business” a — 9. I schedule an appointment with a month of anticipation for March 18th on the first place, mind you I create this appointment around February if not sooner around last weeks of January. I call to confirm on March 15th to my surprise a lady answers and says “we hope you called us back, we are gonna have to reschedule due the person in charge of your case is out for an audience” My initial thought was, there’s no one else that can take my case? There’s just one lawyer? Didn’t thought that much of it, they rescheduled me for today April 8th at 4pm. I call today in the early morning to confirm my appointment before I do so I found a v-m in my phone form some lady saying “please call us back as soon as you hear this” so I do, for my surprised the First Lady that answers doesn’t have any idea of how to help me, they transferred me with another person and this one tells me we are gonna have to reschedule the reschedule ONCE AGAIN! Due the lawyer taking your case is out sick.” I am beyond upset at this point, this is the second time they rescheduled me! I told the lady the that was unacceptable, she give me the option to come tomorrow and the I told her that I couldn’t be missing work, I already asked for the evening off so to please let me keep the same time and to find me another lawyer that could take care of my case. This lady proceeds to tell me “yes, let me see what I can do and I would give you a callback.” This happens at 10:23am for the rest of the day I never received a call, email, text, message , fire sign or anything from this person. So, if you are desperate, have limited funds and need assistance ASAP please AVOID THIS little piece of trash !! They would waste your time, resources, money, gas and words. Spend the extra fees in someone that actually follows direction, mean what they say and has genuine word, not this little circus. Do better , y’all playing with peoples lives and time. Shame on you and your ancestors!!!!

After "winning" at trial with further litigation to take place, I was struck with an uneasy feeling. I felt bullied into a settlement as the attorneys were fed up with my case. Many people had told me over the duration of my case that things weren't quite adding up and that my attorney did not seem to have our best interests at heart. I began to reflect on the case and all the inconsistencies, placating to the other side and capitulating to them as well. I then conferred with another attorney and ended up retaining her services to finish out my case. Upon the new attorney's review of my case, she stated this case was a mess, and she was flabbergasted at all the litigation that was allowed to take place. She mentioned there was a much more direct way to have gone about this case, less money and time wasted, not to mention my children's mental and emotional health. They used to be Cantafio and Hammond. Their employment lawyer Christine Breen took my case, when I was at my lowest, just let go after years of workplace bullying, and recently retaliated against for whistleblowing, and contemplating suing my employer. She promised to help, but then was MIA and refused to return calls. Yet she charged $2000 doing work no one asked her to do, as I already signed a severance agreement not to sue. She never wrote a demand letter. Never did anything substantial, except wrote 2 emails. I had to tell her to cease and desist charging me. I had to bring this case to the bar association. She immediately called, yelling, you agreed to pay this amount. We negotiated, and she reduced it by a few hundred. I should've gone to the bar association and got her disbarred. When you are at your most vulnerable, you cannot trust these people.

My husband and I are still speechless to this day for what Colin did for my husband as well as me. The first lawyer my husband consulted gave him terrible advice, then we found Colin. Not long after the initial consultation my husband was arrested and I called Colin immediately to know what to do. He even had the patience to explain to me where I needed to go for my husbands bail hearing and how that process worked. This was a complex case from the start and Colin was there every step of the way. What started as sexual assault allegations after my husband told his ex wife he’d be filing for divorce, turned into an absolute nightmare that lasted months. Colin referred us to an amazing divorce attorney, and along the journey represented my husband to the end. Colin has extensive knowledge of criminal cases and this truly shows when he fights for you in the court room. We didn’t make things easy for Colin and his team either, along the journey my husband and I, who were struggling with addiction, represented us in Teller county for a new charge we each got as well as represented me in El Paso county for violating probation on a two year old dwai case. I know for a fact if we didn’t have Colin our lives would have been destroyed. He fought for me in El Paso and Teller county and I survived with no felonies. I don’t know how he did it, I was prepared for jail time due to a prior misdemeanor and current drug related charges. Colin spoke to the judge in El Paso county and fought for me, explaining how he had even been witness to me going through opiate withdrawals in his office. He stated the facts of the case, guided me on what steps to take, and spoke to the judge as if I was part of his family. He truly touched my life. My husband as well, the amount of work and time and dedication from Colin changed my husbands outlook on life. In a situation that looked extremely bad on paper, Colin took the time and patience to investigate everything and worked closely with the divorce lawyer to finally bring the case to an end when the prosecution filed for the sexual assault case against my husband to be dismissed for lack of evidence. When you’re in this situation that you never in a life time thought you’d be in, you think your life is over. ITS NOT. Colin is truly an angel, a miracle worker. He spoke daily with both of us, answered every question we had…. Even the insane ones lol… but he did it with care and love and dedication. My husband and I will forever be grateful to Colin and his team. This case was from 2019 I believe, and it took me a while to write the review, and I regret not writing it sooner so more people can be helped. When you think of the legal representation you need in a case, you think it’s not going to be affordable, but it was. With my husband being the only one working at the time, we were still able to fully retain Colin for all of our cases. Thank you Colin for changing our lives. Thank you for dedication your time and your team thank them as well! Mike and I are forever grateful! No matter how bad you think your case is, or how bad a situation you are in, talk to Colin or a member of his team.
