I reached out to Karin for legal help in the middle of a difficult, complicated legal situation I had with my daughter and her father. My case had a some history to it that made representation somewhat daunting. Karin has a steadiness that allowed her to dive in and steer clear of the various details that could detract from a straightforward approach to my case. She held firm on the goal of the case and showed that she thoroughly cared about my position and the welfare of my daughter.

I paid her a lot of money up front. Nothing was moving forward with my case. I had absolutely no progress and nothing was done. I stopped using her and she sent me another bill in the mail (thousands). I refused to pay because again, because nothing was done to help me. She sent it to a bill agency and I paid it and it is still showing I did not pay it (years later). So now I am trying to get her to take it off county records years later.
I am a low income single dad and I was taken to the cleaners.
All I wanted was to see my daughter more and I came out in debt with no progress.

Mr. Tolbert was recommended to me by the CEO and Co-Founder and one of the most prestigious Cyber Security companies in America, Mike Fleck. Given the circles in which Mr. Tolbert is affiliated I knew to expect good things from him once I made the decision to take him under retainer. That is not why I am writing this review. Mr. Tolbert surprised me, even with the high expectations I held, with how he took such scrupulous measures to insure I was well cared for. At our first meeting he provided me his personal cell phone number and told me to call him directly if I had any questions; no need to keep me waiting for his secretary to forward the call, he said. Not even half a day after our first meeting Mr. Telbert had an resolution to my Real Estate needs planned and had communicated with the Real Estate Agency I was at odds with. Less then one week later the issue had been resolved. I did not know this was a quick turnaround. My wife on the other hand, who works in the mortgage industry, was astounded Mr. Tolbert could push the paperwork so quickly. Even after the paperwork had been finalized Mr. Tolbert and his office contacted me on a couple different occasions to ensure I had all my questions answered and to assure me they were ready, willing, and able to assist me with my Real Estate legal needs again if I needed them. I had the privilege of working with Mr. Tolbert last Summer when he helped me with an employment contract issue that I was having. He went above and beyond to explain to me what my options were and ended up getting me out of a potentially complicated lawsuit. He was very professional, reliable, efficient, and easy to work with. He clearly explained everything from the documents he wrote up to how I was going to be billed. My feelings toward lawyers has changed dramatically since dealing with Idris Keith. I had an issue with the SBA that was keeping me from growing my woman owned small business. I was told that I would be throwing good money after bad in trying to take my case any further. After explaining my dilemma to Mr Keith, he gave me his honest opinion. Idris did not make any promises, but told me he would do his best if I wanted to retain his services. He said at best, I had a fifty-fifty chance of being successful. Mr. Keith was so eloquent in his brief, as well as knowledgeable of case law, the judge in Washington, DC overturned the SBA in no uncertain terms. I will be forever grateful to Idris Keith, for being such a major player in the success of my business.

Our company hired Mr. Keith, shortly after we received a letter from the SBA stating that our SBA 8(a) application had been denied. There were over 20 issues which the SBA required clarification on and Mr. Keith worked diligently with us, our corporate attorney and our CPA to answer all of the questions and ultimately be accepted into the SBA 8(a) program. If it were not for the expert assistance and advice of Mr. Keith, there is no way that our company would have been accepted into the program.

About seven months ago I got a letter from the SBA. I was denied my 8A certification. I did not know what to do. I did a Google search to find an answer to my problem and I found the law firm Mr. Keith worked for. When I contacted him I told him about my concerns and he asked me to send the letter to him for review. He explained his approach in addressing each issue. He said to me every point discussed by the SBA would be addressed by legal research. Initially, I was confused, however, he explained each point so that I could understand. He redrafted my narratives and helped me get my 8-A. I am thankful he was committed to meeting my needs. I can truly say he Knows the Law.

Using CKBR was the worst decision me and my company ever made. They padded our case (and billing) with incompetent, loaf lawyers and charged for unauthorized work. One of their inexperienced, newbie attorneys attended meetings for no reason other than to pad fees, (mis)stated and exaggerated a legal position pivotal to our case. The lead attorney was borderline infirm and could barely track meetings (in-person or by phone) and would often arrive late, disheveled, and distracted by his Apple watch. CKBR talks big, bills big, but delivers small. They encouraged legal action against every party, but as our case progressed it was evident, CKBR would be the only beneficiary. We (and you) were a cash cow for their struggling firm, but too far along to halt the case. (Thankfully Google reviews can help others from suffering a similar fate.) Certain attorneys from this firm should be disbarred and reported to the bar association. There is a reason they downsized their offices—their incompetence proceeds them!

he willingly violates the law while working as magistrate in Denver, and then retaliates when called out on that. Also tries to do everything in his power to prevent his misconduct coming to the light. should be disbarred or even better thrown in jail for violating civil rights and Colorado revised statutes.

I suffered a fractured humerous in February 2020. We needed help with a serious claim against our insurance company; we were in the right, as a lengthy DORA report documented. Matt kept blaming his lack of action and progress on our case on us (we should have come to him sooner) or his boss (lots of sighing and eye rolling). When he did submit drafted documents, they were riddled with errors: grammar, spelling, even getting our names and critical dates wrong. Then - less than 2 weeks before our scheduled mediation and a month before we became potentially homeless - he walked out of the office and did not return. He left over 4,000 unorganized documents about our case for some poor new-hire to try to sort out in about a week. Not surprising, we were dissatisfied with the outcome of our mediation. Several other lawyers left that firm, so it may not have been a great place to work, but he made his problem our problem.

At first, I was a little worried when my case was transferred from the attorney I was working with to Matt. I thought this would be a sign that the firm wasn't or didn't know what they were doing. However, Matt was straight forward and explained to me his resume which gave me some relief. The first offer from the insurance company was low and Matt did a counteroffer, and then another. He got me what I felt we could get without having to go to court. He does great work. I would recommend him.

I was referred to Asa from another attorney. I contacted him with regard to an employment termination. He was very forthcoming with information, letting me make the decision on whether to retain him or not. I was told by several laypeople that I would have an "easy case". After getting the facts from Mr Garber, quite the reverse was true. Another lawyer may have convinced me to spend money on an un-winable case. Even though I did not retain Mr Garber, I felt informed and confident in my decision. If I am in such a position again, Mr Garber will be my first call.

I hired Attorney Matt Patton in July of 2023 to help me with my divorce.
