Francesca is my attorney. She is honest and fair and has maintained the highest integrity throughout my divorce.

I hired Mr. Goll to help a family member entangled in a nasty marital divorce. The family member had a ton of issues and, some legal some not, and very limited funds, but Mr. Goll took calls at all hours of the day and night. I understand that in the mid 2000s he lost a young son to a long termillness and that devastated him. He is a very bright guy, hard working and a good lawyer, and I would recommend him

I had began a process to do a name change on my property deed in February and paid in full. Every couple of months I checked in and saw that that there was no progress. I received explanations that the process is stalled or the application was rejected but after 7 months I called the county clerk and discovered that it was not showing as rejected because they had never even received an application. It is now September and no one is getting back to me despite repeated attempts to contact the office.

I hope people see this review as well as the others on this site before hiring Kaitlin. My time with Kaitlin representing me through a long drawn-out case was a constant struggle for proper communication, timely responses to both me and the court, dealing with her showing up late, and making sure she was doing her "homework" on our case.
It is disappointing to say the least because I happen to find Kaitlin to be personable and likable under possibly different circumstances. After having her represent us over two years, I think her main issue is not wanting/being unable to put in the work when it is needed most. She fails to deliver because she avoids, and procrastinates, ...and avoids, and procrastinates because of personal issues. I happen to know it is due to these issues, because during my last and final meeting with her (before her firm let her go) she broke down and cried to me about them.
On one hand, I am an empathetic person who was kind enough to hear her through, but on the other hand was outraged that these tears came shortly after I had presented her with a string of documented emails and calls that had been unanswered for two months!! During this period of my trying to contact her, there were time sensitive issues occurring that were being blatantly ignored by her. When finally called out and had no other excuse to turn to, she broke down about her personal life. I'm sorry, but I am not her college professor, therapist, doctor, parent, or friend, and happen to have paid quite a bit of money for her services. I found this to be distasteful and unprofessional. Having to work with Kaitlin added an element of stress I didn't need, as my case alone was stressful enough. Why was I paying to babysit my lawyer?
It is my opinion that Kaitlin needs to walk away from this profession, or find a way to consult on legal issues but not actually litigate. While I gave her a low rating on being "knowledgeable" I do think she has the capacity to know the in's and out's of her field, but under her current circumstances she is clouded and unable to perform.
Additionally, while this is a pretty tame review considering the amount of stress she has caused me, I must adamantly reiterate that I do NOT recommended her, and honestly wish she had not represented me from the start. I was able to obtain the file she had on my case, and looking back I can see the shortcuts, dishonest practices (not informing me of evidence, etc), and sloppiness she delivered throughout the case. It is such a shame that a seemingly intelligent woman is unable to deliver even the bare-minimum. If you take a look at her resume, she is unable to stay with a firm more than a year, and from what I have heard and read - she has left on poor terms with almost all of her employers. I hope she does everyone a favor, and moves on from representing people in real-need of legal services.

I hired Attorney Finkelstein for a closing in July 2004. This was the time there was limited Internet reviews and word traveled via word of mouth or a random call to a person for services.
I’m glad we connected and have used his services even later!
Being a first time home buyer there is always some nervous energy and an element of unknown. Besides this, this transaction was getting difficult because of a bidding war, despite offering above asking price. Additionally, this the Seller was having some arguments where both the parties were not signing documents.
Terry stepped on affirming a firm deal and was tremendous in getting the closing done.
Even on the day or closing, the other party had some issues and final walk thru revealed the house was not in the expected condition. However, being practical, a small retainer was kept and the other party was allowed some time to clear out the house the same day.
I stayed in that house for 16 years!
I may post additional reviews given the unique aspect of real estate transactions for Terry - he assisted in 2017, 2019 and 2020.
Highly recommended.

I hired her a few years back when she worked for another firm. She left that firm without giving me any kind of notice. I didn’t find out for some time until I contacted the firm. That was very unprofessional of her. It was a very difficult time for me and she should at least do the right thing by telling me that she was leaving the firm.

She seems like a nice person but is totally incompetent as a lawyer. She handled my case and totally messed it up. She intended to handle a motion made by the adversary without ever meeting me. What attorney doesn’t meet their client before arguing a motion? I insisted on a meeting prior to the motion and she saw me the day before. I taped the meeting so I could recall everything they was said. When I listen to it back she basically listened and never asked a question. At the motion, she totally messed up. First, I never got to see the judge. Only Alison and the other attorney saw the judge in chambers. She came out with a consent order that was so balanced to the other side you would think she worked for them. Alison coerced me to sign it by saying the following three things 1) if I didn’t sign the judge wouldn’t like me 2) the court was closing soon and if I didn’t sign we would have to come back the next day at an extra travel expense charge and 3) that after the motion is resolved the case usually settles quickly so I shouldn’t have to pay so much pendent lite support for that long.
All wrong. Bad advice and to boot, the day of the motion she was late. An attorney should represent your interests and Allison surely didn’t. Alison- you should know who I am - if you have the courage to - call me.

Petra Vavra showed up to my deposition ( she was assigned as my attorney by her firm Martin, Kane & Kuper ) wearing Yoga Pants and ballet slippers. She was completely unprepared. I was not surprised to see that she was a scuba instructor because that seemed more fitting. When I arrived at the opposing counsels office, she was chatting with him behind close doors. She wasn't aware that I could hear them but it sounded as if they were dating.
This case turned out very badly for me. Law is serious and you need a serious lawyer. So, please keep looking for an attorney who really wants to help you.
