This law firm was a complete disaster. I had a horrible experience with them and strongly advise against using their services. They are the epitome of incompetence.
The partner I worked with, Karl Norgaard, came across as intelligent and personable, but his actions did not match his words. He assigned my case to the most incompetent attorney I have ever encountered, Milica Fatovich.
Milica refused to listen to my suggestions, thinking she was always right, and when it turned out I was correct, she tried to take credit for it. She spent more time talking and repeating obvious things than actually working on my case. Essentially, she was just a paper pusher, forwarding emails from the opposing attorneys without checking the content or providing creative ideas to help or advocate for my case.
The firm completely mishandled my case, forcing me to agree to terms I didn't want. They promised to get me what was agreed upon, but in the end, nothing was true. They claimed ignorance and refused to correct the issues or demand the other side adhere to the agreed terms. They only seemed to care about ensuring they got paid their exorbitant fees directly from the settlement.

Karl provided excellent legal representation in protecting me from a very difficult and aggressive tenant who would not vacate my home at the end of the lease, and even had the audacity to sue me for not renewing the lease, when it was within my legal rights.
This whole ordeal, along with the bullying from my tenant and the huge fear of navigating in the unfamiliar legal process and court systems, was mentally, emotionally and physically difficult. Karl provided a sense of peace, and perfectly handled the case and all subsequent matters with competence, sympathy and understanding. I cannot speak highly enough about Lisa, I found myself in a very bad situation where I was set up by my wife after serving the divorce papers and was in serious trouble. The first attorney I went to gave me terrible advice that would’ve ended up very bad for me Luckily my divorce attorney referred me to Lisa. Karl and Cassandra were great in helping us deal with our mortgage modification loan. When the lender fouled up and both sent and signed back the wrong paperwork then later claimed that the contract was invalid, threatening a foreclosure, Cassandra was instrumental to getting the lender to understand their faults, was able to stop the foreclosure process and get us back into the modified loan.
During this process there were quick on replying to any of our questions and dealt with the lender quickly and effectively.
Thank you everyone at the Norgaard firm!

Dora helped my family during a very stressful time (disabled mother having to go to permanent nursing care after Covid recovery). For my wife and I, going through a CH 7 bankruptcy was a pretty dark time for us, but the light at the end of the tunnel was Mark, Cassandra, and Kate. We were able to keep our house and start over with a clean slate.
We read the other reviews written about Mark and his team and everything they said is true. They were a pleasure to work with from the time we met them until our bankruptcy was discharged. Their fee was fair, their work was impeccable, and their representation of us at our hearing was impressive. We could not have envisioned a better outcome of our situation.

Mr. Draisin did not want to take my case at first, but after reviewing all of the details and evidence, he fully committed to pursuing a lawsuit. He was diligent in finding facts and communicating with witnesses and cautious when unexpected facts or circumstances arose. My wife and I collaborated with Jenny on our first property in Jersey City! We had really great experience with Jenny. She is professional and patient, and has played the critical role in pushing forward our case to closing.
Our property had very complicated situations. It is a multi family and has multiple tenants that need to deal with. In addition, it had back and forth discussion and negotiation with sellers for inspection and title! Jenny coordinated the communication with sellers attorney pretty well and drove the process moving forward smoothly.
Jenny is knowledgeable about everything in real estate transaction. She explained us every details and things need to be paid attention on in each stage of the transaction!

Robert Agresta is an exceptional young lawyer with a lot of talent and knowledge to bring to the table. I have sought his advice for a number of different legal issues, and he as answered every question with professionalism and discernment. While he tends to focus on corporate transactions, his advice regarding property acquisitions has proven invaluable, and so has his assistance in in completing transactions of this nature. He is diligent in his reviews of contracts that I have sent him, and he has even gone beyond his specialty to give me advice with regard to immigration law. It is clear that he truly cares for his clients because when he feels he has inadequate knowledge about a particular specialty, he either goes out of his way to learn more so as to provide me with sound legal advice, or he researches who will be better able to assist me when it comes to certain problems.
Robert's extensive insight about local government is also incredible. His position as a council president has enabled him to learn a great deal about the workings of small town politics, and has given the experience necessary to advise about successful campaign management.

Bill had handled my family case for many years - a long time period due to many court appearances over many years. In addition he handled my case regarding ownership of non-marital real estate. The process took many years due to the case being brought before the NJ Appellate Court.
This was a long process which resulted in a "trying time" for me since the Appellate Court takes many years before they hear a case. Bill always reminded me and supported me during this long waiting period which at many times I thought I wouldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I must admit that during this time I wondered...
I must say that he was always correct, always level headed (even when I wasn't) and he always provided me with straight forward advice that was true to the end. It was his level hotheadedness, straight forwardness, etc that helped me achieve positive results in this long/very important family case.
