Hiring this firm is better than no representation at all but I would think twice in hiring this firm if you have the funds to go elsewhere. This firm has hired lawyers struggling to maintain their good standing with the bar association and then the firm does not disclose that. Anything that could potentially affect a client's case should be disclosed and the firm not disclosing that is unethical. The firm has a poor mechanism for clients to make complaints and to also act on client complaints. The only person you will talk with is an office manager who has no authority to do anything. It's more like they have a person just to hear complaints so the owners of the firm don't have to deal with them. My whole time I hired this firm I felt like I needed to micromanage them. Its not ok for mail from the firm to be sent to the wrong address, for purge orders to be not filed, for clients to get emails and email communications for different clients that have nothing to do with your case, and info needed to be given to court to be not done in a timely manner or not done at all until the client has asked if it's been done. I'm sure the attorney I hired was a kind person and tried as hard as they could but I should have been informed of the situation so I understood how many micromanagings and check ins I needed to do. And the hourly rate for my situation was the same or higher than other legal staffers at the firm. My case had an overall positive outcome but there were errors made. Buyer beware when working with this firm!

I hired Chap Peterson for legal assistance, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite paying for their services, I did not receive the level of support and attention I expected. Communication was lacking, and it felt like my case was neglected. I'm disappointed with the overall experience.
Never expect that Chap is going to handle your case. You will face with couple un-experienced young employees. We had a deposition with other party and they didn’t even tell me the date.
On my first meeting with Chap and Chris, I explained them everything and never told them that the other party had damage to my business. Chap and Chris said no worry, since they break the contract we can still win the case . I ask them couple times when the case was continuing, are we still certain? Every single time , they said we are good, we will win the case.
After, I spend 20k-30k and 2-3 weeks before trial they called me and said there is no case because there is no damage to the business. I said I told you that from the beginning and you knew that why you start this case then?
Stay away from this company. They are going to get your money and will do the same thing.

I was referred to Broderick Dunn by a local attorney and friend, and she undoubtedly guided me to the right person. In a very emotional state, having been bullied and pushed out of my job after a long career, I found Mr. Dunn and his staff to be exceptional from start to finish.
From the initial intake to the conclusion of my case, the professionalism and responsiveness of Mr. Dunn and his knowledgeable staff were outstanding. Anytime I called or sent an email, I received prompt and thorough responses. Broderick was always there to listen and provide advice every step of the way.

Broderick represented me to swiftly resolve a noncompete restriction after I left my firm to join another. The firm had attempted to restrict me from doing business across multiple industries, globally. Broderick battled through two external law firms as well as two internal legal divisions of the firm to drive in months. Awful. I turned to DiPietro when i had a court date and had little time. They charged me over $40,000 to prepare for the case. I asked several times to speak to someone and never received a call from anyone other than the lawyer they assigned me. Now he has left the practice and they are refusing to contact me about my case. I have asked for files and whatever can be provided without a response. This is after me waiting weeks for them to contact me regarding a path forward as they had told me they would do via an email.

I met Jennifer through my previous attorney that I liked very much, but when he moved up with his company, I could no longer afford him. He recommended Jennifer to me and I could not be any happier with his recommendation. Jennifer handled a child support modification for me as well as several "bogus" attacks from my ex accusing me of failure to comply with court notices.
Jennifer was very quick to catch up with the behavior of my ex wife and laid out a good plan of defense. She is very reassuring and very detail oriented and puts you at ease when you are stressed (as was my case). My Ex was representing herself Pro Se and when Jennifer found out, she offered to settle out of court with a more than fair offer. When my ex refused, we proceeded to court where Jennifer was superb! I couldn't have asked anymore of Jennifer. I was completely satisfied with her as my attorney. I highly recommend her and I believe that she is definitely a up and coming top attorney.

Hire at your own risk. Hiring her was a complete waste of time. She was very unprofessional and unprepared for my case. She did not have the experience to handle my case, and I felt she was working for the other party and agreeing with anything they proposed. Mr. Doyle was one of the worst decisions I’ve made throughout the entirety of my divorce process. From sending a separation agreement with conversational, sensitive track change notes to my husband to taking four days to return an emergency phone call/email, he is the definition of a novice attorney. If you have children or have any other circumstances of a sensitive nature, look elsewhere for representation or you’ll be flushing your retainer down the toilet.

Doers are the ones who usually see the glass half full, are good listeners and problem solvers. Mr. Doyle and Ms. Membreno exemplified this type of people when they accepted my case which was fairly complicated. They listened when I explained my situation, and then responded positively that my case fit within a legal framework. They then found a solution by asking me for documentation and drafting a solid petition to present to the court that resulted in a favorable outcome and resolved the problem.
During my consultation with Mr. Doyle, he thoroughly and professionally explained to me the process and what to expect. If you want to lose a lot of money and then lose in court, hire Mr. Sris. Rescheduled my court date and I didn't even bother telling me. In addition to this nerve-racking experience, did not put any effort in defending me in court the second time around. And at the end I had a feeling that he represented the prosecutor, not me. During the initial intake it felt like it was all about how awesome he is and not about the client's needs. Highly questionable work ethics led to a terrible outcome at the end. Just an awful experience overall. Stay away. Do not repeat my mistake of trusting this person. Guys like him are the reason people don't trust lawyers. I wish there was a way to disbar him or at least to give him minus five stars. Just an awful person.

My father has used him and thinks he is amazing. Now I used him and I think he is amazing. He won my DUI case in Fairfax Virginia in 10 minutes. He spent time talking to me about my case and I was so nervous because I go to George Mason and I need my license to drive to classes. He waited the whole day because the prosecutor put my case at the end of the docket and then he took it to trial. He told me he was going to fight for me and he did. Best part is that he won.

I hired Attorney Frei for a family member. I was their POwer of Attorney. . I handled all aspects of helping to prepare a personal injury suit including settlement negotiations.
I was assured my expenses would be reimbursed. Upon settlement and an award of 875,000.00, I presented Attorney Frei my costs of 4,000.00. Not only did he not reimburse me, but he ignored emails and phone calls. I have no choice but to report him to the Virginia Bar

Our auto liability case just settled and we are happy that our representation was superior and exceeded our expectations. Steve and his associate Matt took our case even though it was a week from the filing due date and it wasn't particularly big bucks. At trial, we got 30% more than the insurance co offered. They both showed excellent judgement as all of their recommendations were spot-on. At all times, they prepared and discussed our concerns thoroughly, keeping us well informed. I work closely with many top lawyers for more than two decades and can be fairly critical and meticulous, probably more so than their peers would say, so its no small matter to say I found their work to be very competently done and I highly recommend him.

Adam nearly destroyed me. I won't get into all of the details here since I don't want to relive it. He represented me in a divorce case. It dragged it out for years. He would ghost me for many months at a time - no email or phone responses. I provided him with a mountain of evidence and he neverused any of it. He did not allow me to defend myself in court against false accusations. I lost almost everything I had because of him and went into a deep depression. I felt like he was on her side and did everything he could to help her, not me. Just did a web search and found he was reprimanded by the VA Bar for doing the same to a client who has now lost custody of her child.
It's not easy to be deep into a case and then spend tons of money to get another attorney to take your case. So be forewarned: don't use him at all.

Initial consultation was free and he suggested a strategy for my divorce case, as soon as I hired him, he would not return my calls/emails. If you are a woman of color, please do not hire him. He bullied me during my most vulnerable phase of life, over charged me and then Nancy Duff refunded some of my money. He was in my corner during during and also did not help get the community property due from my ex- after the judge granted it. During the trial of my divorce, he went out for dinner with my ex and his lawyers. The next day at the trial, he came disorganized and kept his nose stuck into paper work while the ex's lawyer was questioning me on irrelevant issues. He is disorganized and does not go through all his emails. If I were the woman that I am now, I would never hire him to represent me during my divorce.

I have had plenty of experience with many different attorneys and this was by far the WORST one I have ever dealt with. LATE TO COURT, overcharges, pompous ( and for no reason-it's not like he's good)...He took a divorce case with my father whom has cognitive issues, which he was aware of and didn't refer him to an attorney that specializes in divorces. He saw it as easy money, fast and no work. Don't hire this guy....He also was hired for petty traffic stuff and did nothing but overcharge and still had a ton of fines...worst money ever spent

This Lawyer is nothing short of a complete inept lawyer. Not only did he put me on the stand to defend myself against a jury on a DUI charge. He asked me no questions involved with the case, just my name, profession etc and closed with allowing the DA to rip me apart with questions that were clear hearsay and opinions with no objections whatsoever. Seriously - stay away! I paid him and he got the money as a pd. HE EVEN FAILED TO FILE THE APPEAL IN TIME as requested while i was locked up.

I was being charged with PWID Sch I/II Drug in Fairfax and Prince William for a DUI and Mr Courtnall got my charges in Fairfax dismissed and my DWI was amended from DWI to Wreckless driving and I was extremely happy because I did not lose my job,. Did I mention I was arrested over the weekend and he filed a bond motion and I was released that Monday what an awesome Attorney. My aunt referred me to him as he also helped her with a Juvenile Case in July where here charges were dismissed as well . Extremely busy but very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I recommend him to all my friends and family who are being charged in Criminal or Traffic Court in Both State and Federal Courts in Northern VA and he also goes out as far as Richmond and Roanoke.

I would recommended Mr Courtnall b/c he had helped my Uncle with a Federal Case that consisted of series of Robberies where my Uncle was accused of being a leader of a "violent" hispanic gang which he was not. We hired him 1 day (that Friday and Court MONDAY) before my Uncle was set for a Jury Trial and Mr Courtnall is a busy man but his Office Manager and other Assistants helped us throughout the whole process even accommodating us on a Saturday & Sunday although they are closed on weekends. My uncle was convicted of Conspiracy and all the robberies and gun charges were dropped. He was given a 5 years sentence and we are happy as his co-def all got 35+ Years ....... He also helped my friends Uncle win a Jury verdict to dismiss Murder Charge and lower it to Voluntary Manslaughter and he only got 1 years ... I love his services and his Office like I said Busy but they do have prompt service and Mr Courtnall has good knowledge of Criminal and Traffic cases both State and Federal ........ We even were given his personal cell number and email and kept in touch regularly ...He's as good if not better then Whitestone and Associates and very very reasonable prices

I found myself in an unexpected legal matter to which I had no idea how to begin to deal with or navigate and a friend referred me to a Mr. Peter Baskin in Fairfax, Va. Not only did Mr. Baskin take the time to sit down with me and explain in detail how to approach my case he made clear to me all of my possible options as well as answered every single one of my questions. Hired Peter Baskin to defend in a case where I was being charged with disturbing the peace. Peter promised he would be able to get the charges dropped however he was unable to accomplish anything during the hearing process. Not only did I still have to pay him but the conviction is still on my record. Complete waste of money.

Hired Ms. Petrocelli to help me with a small matter that seems as if it could either turn out as a slap on the wrist or jail time and a fine for me-depending on how it's handled. So far, she has been very unprofessional. She will not return phone calls or emails regarding my case. All I would like is an update about what's going on for the next court date. I gave her my retainer and she has just disappeared on me with another court date to go! My advice is to find someone a bit more reliable.

I was pawned off on Ms. Neville because the more experienced attorney in the firm that I had consulted with wasn’t available for my hearing date. After the firm received my retainer she immediately cast doubt upon her own abilities to be successful in my case and told me that it didn’t look good. As my case is still ongoing with a new attorney I can’t divulge too many details but I will say a few things.
This attorney did not fight for my case at all. The judge gave my ex temporary full legal and physical custody (a man who abused me for 8 years and only had visitation and 50% legal of our child ) and she didn’t even request visitation on my behalf. I’m not a criminal and have never hurt, neglected or not provided for my child. The judge made her decision based on what SHE felt was a factor and the attorney didn’t object, dispute it or argue on my behalf. When the attorney addressed the judge and went to say my name - she FORGOT MY NAME. Maybe if someone is paying you thousands of dollars you try to remember who you’re standing next to and representing. She also emailed me a document that contained another minor child’s name and when I pointed it out she stated that she had used a prior case document as a template. The amount of time she charged me for was outrageous considering she used other documentation as a template - and I have to wonder if she’s using my information as a template and then sending it to someone else. She also repeatedly got details wrong that I corrected over and over. I gave her a wealth of information and evidence and she stammered in front of the judge. She also forwarded emails between herself and the other attorney in which they engaged in chitchat about their own kids’ play dates while discussing my case!
I do not recommend this attorney - find someone who will fight for you and remember your name in court. She also has my case file and a binder full of evidence that she has not given to me despite my requests for her to do so. If you want a copy and paste attorney - she’s your gal - if you want someone who will fight for you and remember your name - keep looking!

This guy is a clown and a waste of money! Doesn't respond to calls/emails, doesn't answer questions, allows the defendant to lie under oath and when confronted about it says quote "no one gets charged with perjury." Are you serious; you are going to allow the defendant to blatantly lie and you say nothing. Lesson learned folks, do NOT hire this guy.

I wish I had read reviews before hiring him. He billed for all kinds of time that had no relationship to the job he was supposed to do. Sadly, on at least two occasions he was daydreaming looking out the window while opposing counsel was making point after point after point. The judge was looking at him like are you going to pay attention to this? Because he had no clue what was going on, he couldn't make a coherent point. It took me tens of thousands of dollars and several years to undo the damage that he did to my children. If this weren't a civilized country, he would be strung up. It's almost like he gets his jollies from getting walked all over by the opposing side. Do not hire him.
