My ex and I had already gone through the divorce process for 4 months (almost in court) with individual lawyers prior to finding Lorna. Our individual lawyers, while claiming to be on our side did not take any steps towards settling out of Court. In fact it was more my Ex's lawyer who milked him for every dime she could get her hands on. She had no intention of working with my lawyer and basically has us headed full speed to Court with huge lawyer fees along the way. We finally talked and realized we could come to an amicable situation and found Lorna.
Lorna fit us in VERY last minute which was appreciated in ways I cannot express because we were 2 days from a Court appearance. She listened to what we wanted, talked through a few open issues with us and by one session we had an agreement. We rushed her for final documents and she went above and beyond to have them for us within a week. I cannot thank her enough to helping us.
Lorna is calm and accommodating. If you are looking for someone who will work to have your differences wrapped up quickly (not dragging it out like every other lawyer in town) then I think you should consider her services.

We came to Lorna knowing that collaborative law would be the smartest, most efficient choice for my ex husband and myself. Lorna took the time to really get to know us, our situation, our personal issues. This made a significant difference in our dealing with a highly emotional affair.
I want to publicly thank Lorna for all the hard work, clear communication, care and follow through she put into our divorce. She was kind and thoughtful, listened well and responded to both of our needs. I never felt that she was taking sides or wasn't looking out for the best interest of us both....that was exactly what we wanted and expected from a collaborative lawyer.
I would highly recommend Ms Jaynes. She is an excellent lawyer with many skills. She will guide you through the divorce maze and yet stay clear and open....just what is needed.
As for collaboration vs. the 'family court' approach, we are glad to have chosen a route that didn't divide us further. The collaborative approach was so much more cost effective....I can't imagine how much we would have spent had we both hired our own lawyers! Also, I feel with Lorna's help and the collaborative process we both had far less stress than going to court, our issues were settled in a non-adversarial manner and she managed our conflicts, emotional issues and relationship issues creatively.

Divorce is never ideal and an incredible hardship on families, I can honestly say that after living through it. If I had felt there was any other way for reconciliation, I never would have considered it, but after that decision had been made, I found myself looking for the next step.
After hearing that there was an alternative to being a docket number in a traditional, drug out, expensive, process for divorce through the court system, I began a search through Google for Collaborative Law and found Lorna's name. After talking with her, I found her incredibly supportive and informative from the onset. That continued well after the last document was signed. I always felt that she had my best interests at heart while maintaining what was best and fair for the whole family. Never being through this before, she provided the legal experience and knowledge that I needed because, honestly, I just didn't always know what I was legally entitled to. I found that she always kept me informed of where we were in the process. She was very approachable if I had a question and, equally as important, she answered promptly which was very much appreciated. It did a lot to relieve the anxiety that just comes with the territory. I would have to admit that I was not always an effective speaker through the process and there were times where my mind drew blanks, but because Lorna had taken the time to get to know me, my voice was heard through her and she was able to put into words what I wasn't always able to do for myself. I don't think that my case could have been settled any better than it was with Lorna and certainly not as fast. She was exactly who I needed at that time and I'm grateful that I Googled Collaborative Law and found her.
I can't discuss the value of finding Lorna without discussing the benefits of Collaborative Law for anyone that may be searching right now. The process of Collaborative Law provided a means for divorce in a nontraditional way. It is a process where issues can be discussed and unraveled across a table with the help and guidance of specifically and specially trained Collaborative Attorneys who keep the discussions on point, fair and productive. It differs from mediation in that each spouse retains a Collaborative Attorney. It also provides a way for you and your children, through referred Licensed Family Counselors, to have a voice in the custody plan instead of being told what that will be by a Judge who doesn't know your family. That was a driving force for me.

The attorney I've used before was too busy and handed over my case to sejuoh. She is precise and on point so when I needed a lawyer again this year I had no hesitation when my case was again handed to her. Laws were new this year and yet she went above and beyond to make sure everything was as correct as possible for the court. She dots her i's and crosses her t's. She doesn't take any shortcuts and she made sure my case got done in a speedy manor cuz I was on a definite timeline this time around. After an extensive amount of research through Yelp and Google, I was fortunate to find Mr. Edwards in Google with wonderful reviews from most of his previous clients recommending him for hire.
After meeting him in person in his office in Fremont California, his confidence gave me a sense of comfort, therefore I decided to hire his services for my divorce case.

The office is a run down family suite. However, that wasn’t the issue. My wife and I have been trying to establish a status in the United States and someone had reffered Gubreena to us, so of course we called and scheduled an appointment. She was very promising before the fees had been submitted, however after having submitted the fees she did not care to update us on the status of our case. In fact we missed a deadline due to her carelessness.

I've used Mr. Knutsen twice both times with excellent results. First was a significant personal civil case. He was Spot on in everything. I was looking for an attorney to help me collect some payments from a customer who had fallen far behind on his account. My client owed me several thousands of dollars, and I had no choice but to pursue legal action. The next door business from mine suggested that I should try using Mahesh Bajoria since he had dealt with him before for real estate issues and had a pleasant experience. I asked my neighbor to arrange a meeting if he could, and later that afternoon I was seated across the desk from Mahesh at his Fremont office. Mahesh seems like he is very patient and listened to my situation. He made valuable suggestions (For example: Mahesh suggested that I should include some language on my contracts to include clauses for attorney's fees, jurisdiction, interest etc in the event of litigation). During my hour with him, he charged me $100, but I felt good enough to sign up with him to pursue my case. The cost he said would be billed at $250/hr and he anticipated it can be anywhere from 5-10 hours initially. Then in event a settlement could not be reached he anticipated another 10 hours for court work. Ok, so I figured it could cost me up to $5,000 to recover the unpaid funds. I was ok with that since Mahesh felt confident that a settlement would be reached before we go to court. He said that is what usually happens. However, as I was getting ready to leave, a lady walked into the office unannounced. She immediately reached out and shook my hand, and all of a sudden she was asking if I have life insurance. I was a bit surprised by this and told her politely I wasn't interested. But even more shockingly, Mahesh then asked me to hear the lady and see if she might offer me something beneficial. I remember thinking "Isn't this a law office? Yes. Then why the hell are you selling me insurance?" This was extremely awkward for me. Mahesh then told me the lady was his wife. So, I had just hired him to represent me in court and now they wanted me to buy life insurance. Was the lawsuit really going to kill me or something? Anyways, I remember sitting down for another 10-15 minutes and listening to them tell me about different types of insurance while Mahesh was encouraging his wife's sales pitch. Towards the end, they asked me if I had a Living Trust or Will. Because I did not want to be rude, I simply told them that yes, I have a Trust already made (even though I didn't). This was good enough for them to stop blindsiding me with sales of random products. I left very confused. I came there to file a lawsuit and I left feeling like I was being sold a suit, a tie and shoes (and socks and handkerchief). Mahesh called me up about a week later and told me he had filed the documents in court and that they were going to serve my client with the summons. Literally a week later, my client called me up and told me he had received the summons, and he would rather settle than go to court. I agreed that we should settle. The client gave me a substantial amount of what he owed and Mahesh wrote the settlement agreement. The result was successful, but it was odd being sold insurance in a law office.

Mr Preddy and I had a consultation where he really impressed me so I hired him to handle my case. We spoke again about how to proceed and he said he would write a demand letter to initiate the process, a basic commonplace task for a lawyer in this field.
For over a month after we spoke there was no letter, and my emails and phone calls were ignored. Zero communication from Mr Preddy or his office, after multiple phone calls, voicemails and emails. In the end this was as if I did nothing for a month and a half, on an issue that is time sensitive. I wish he had at least told me he did not want to work on the case, there are many lawyers in the Bay Area.

Mr. Preddy, is a very honest lawyer, so worth your money, keeps you posted on everything. When an issue arises he is on the end of the phone to walk you through it, so you don't feel lost or alone when its an issue out of your control. Highly recommend him and is law firm. Used him in 2006-2007 we walked out happy with the out come. Hired him again 2012-2013 same thing excellent, he represents 2 other family members that are just as satisfied as we are.

Hourly rates are much higher than other divorce attorneys in the Tri-City area and he over-charges hours for unnecessary work (extra hours). Mr. Lau also acted unethically by repeatedly pressuring the opposing counsel to transfer funds prior to the final divorce decree, which resulted in significantly more billable hours.

Zachary Frost is the best, I had my back destroyed at work. He had me see the best doctors, and therapists. I was so depressed love to work. But was told it I was done seen I was 100 % disabled, Not much left of my back and so many other problems. Worker Comp did not want to do barley anything for me. Zac always came through and made them give me the help I needed. It took a while but Zac was always there for me. with out his help would not be here right now. The law moves very slow, but in the end it came out great. I would recommend Zac to anyone with a Worker Comp case they do not want to give a dime to anyone. In my opinion Zac is the best Workers Comp lawyer their is. He saved my life. Can't see how there would be any one better.

lee handled my divorce/custody case in 31 months. repeatedly filed documents incorrectly causing huge delays & extra court days. 80/20 custody was agreed but he filed my final papers giving full custody of one child to the other parent!! i wasn't given copies for approval prior to court submissions. i had to consult with other attorneys since he failed to return calls or emails. i never received a court certified copy of my final divorce decree which for a divorce is an important document.

I am in the same situation as the previous review on this site: having to work with Mr. Goyal on getting reimbursed for a car wash in Emeryville that literally destroyed the driver's side mirror on my BMW. Mr. Goyal is doing his best to not communicate and avoid paying out any reimbursement despite dozens of letters, faxes and certified mail. There is no real legal handling here other than avoiding the issue until the situation blows over. This indicates a serious lack of customer service on the part of his employer and begs the question of his own integrity.

Attorney Goyal works for Nakash Enterprises, a subsidiary of Vintners Distributors. They own gas stations and car washes throughout Caliifornia. If you've ever used one of their carwashes and ended up having your vehicle damaged by the washing straps, you've most likely been faced with the unenviable task of trying to contact Attorney Goyal for reimbursement of your financial damages. I brought the damages to the attention of the gas station manager as soon as the incident occurred. I asked him if he wanted to take photos of my car or retrieve my broken rear window wiper arm from inside the car wash. He said it wasn't necessary as they have cameras inside the car wash. I completed their claim form right away and was told their company would contact me within a week for reimbursement. The station owner assured me he would provide reimbursement for any gap in payment in the form of free car washes if the company didn't do what was right. (Like I'd want more damage to my car?) I've been calling and leaving messages for Atty Goyal for 3 weeks and he's yet to return my calls or contact me via mail. This business lacks basic professionalism and I now question their integrity. They probably rely on the fact that most damages would be less than a typical insurance deductible, thus leaving the consumer on their own to fight their company. Be careful before you consider working with Atty Goyal. I wouldn't trust his him with my business!)

Lawrence J Leung, MBA, CPA, Attorney at Law is very unprofessional, unethical and not as smart as all his degrees imply. I took my elderly father to see him for some legal guidances on a complicated and desperate situation. Instead of providing us smart tips, a work around or tax reduction strategies, he lectured my father on what the law said and told him what he did wrong. Then charge him an arm and a leg for his one hour of lecture. That whole hour he used me to translate to my father instead of him explaining directly to my father even though he claims he speaks Chinese. I didn’t realized that was his tactic to waste time. Then he wasted another 20 minutes pretending he was searching on his computer to help us but didn’t yield any good solution. He is a useless and unethical attorney! Don’t waste your money! Trust me and go to Faye Lee, attorney at law who provided me more tips and strategies in 10 minutes on the phone than an hour with Lawrence Leung and free of charge. Faye Lee is more ethical and has more compassion in wanting to help people instead of money driven like Lawrence Leung. We were helpless and despair after the meeting with Lawrence Leung and decided to call Faye Lee who I couldn’t get a hold of in the first place due to a death in her family and that’s why we went to Lawrence Leung Instead. Big mistake on our part to see Lawrence Leung!
Lawrence Leung will take every chance he gets to grind money out of his clients! DO NOT GO TO HIM FOR HELP! If you don’t listen, it’s your own fault!
Special note: He was in Sunnyvale but that was closed down. Now he’s in Fremont. It’s the same guy who got some negative reviews in Sunnyvale location!
