My divorce was with a very unreasonable individual who postponed court dates frequently and intentionally tried to create more bills with my attorneys. The Dave Mejias and his team were always super professional and gave reasonable advice. They always assigned the appropriate attorney needed for court for that day or to work on paperwork to manage my quickly accruing invoices with the office. Highly recommend. I always felt like I was good hands with every person in this office right from consultation and even after all services had been rendered. I retained Charles to replace anther attorney handling estate planning and realestate sale for my aunt and uncle who were both already in care. He found several errors in a will, errors in the description of assets and just shoddy work that would have caused delays and complications during probate. He had to get the previous attorney to sign affidavits explaining the issues. He has gone far beyond what I would expect- visiting them in care, checking their home to ensure it was ready for sale, picking up and holding their mail for me as I don't live nearby. He has been very patient explaining the process to all the beneficiaries. I could not have made a better choice. Never felt rushed, no questions unanswered, quick to respond, very attentive to the smallest detail. I always feel he has my interests at the forefront. You must consider him if you need assistance.

From the initial meeting to the ultimate resolution, Kevin Maccarone ensured all communications were effectively relayed and was effortlessly able to translate all the legal technicalities in to layman’s terms!
When speaking with Kevin you can tell he has a blessed quality about himself the makes you feel like he genuinely cares about you and your case.

I hired this guy to take a case for me. I would be inconvenienced because rarely did he ever show up to court dates. However, he told me the judge would agree that I do a 8 month stretch in county jail and the case would be over.. Well once I hit my 8 month mark I was not presented to court. I called John numerous times and he would not return my calls or come visit me to tell me what was going on. 2 months later I was then produced to court after a total of 10 months was spent in jail, only for him to tell me.. "Now you have to do 5yrs probation". This was not the deal of course. I felt rail roaded. I was lied to, and swindled out of money. John works in a very unprofessional manner. I recommend you look elsewhere for competent council.

Randi is amazing. She is intelligent, quick on her feet, and tenacious. She is helping me with a custody matter and hasn't been afraid to jump in and fight for my son and me, even when things were looking pretty doom and gloom. She's been great at maintaing calmness in the midst of a turbulent storm. She sets and manages expectations then exceeds them.
Dave Mejias, her partner, is incredible too. He has offered insightful strategy and support. I've also been impressed with how quick Mannie Vasquez is to get what's needed for my case. The whole office is super responsive, which is so important to me when dealing with such a highly emotional matter.
I highly recommend Randi not just because she is a real pro and is the best advocate you can find, but because you REALLY don't want her to be your opposing counsel. SERIOUSLY.

This one of the worse lawyers in New York. I hired him for a case and I wish I never did. All he did was to to take my money. He submitted poor elaborated forms for my case and never communicated about the process. All he does is to let his paralegal assistants to handle cases, but very unprofessional and unethical. I had to hire another lawyer to fix the mess he got me in and it was such a waste of a lot of money. He has done this conducts to many many clients for years. No wonder why he got his license suspended.

Jerry provided excellent service. I had a problem with a tenant that missed a payment.
Jerry spent some time with me to explain the process in detail before we proceeded. After being served with a demand letter the tenant paid. Jerry's office followed up for many months to make sure the tenant was paying before they closed the file. This is the third time I used Jerry and I would highly recommend him.

Mr. Cappellani is the worst attorney I have ever dealt with in my life. I used him in a landlord/tenant case and I am thoroughly disappointed with his performance. He lied to me about communication with the defense, he was irresponsible, unknowledgeable, and never kept me abreast of the case. He never returned any of my phone calls and I am disgusted. Don't make the same mistake I did.

During an Arbitration he failed to hear key points that I had to ask him did he hear, in short, no he did not. His one on one time was horrible (preparation didn't happen one on one face to face until the day before Arbitration) and he was very forgetful at times. To be honest I needed him to make statements on my behalf for the record because I knew the Arbitration was a wash from the time all lawyers walked out the room for a quick meet and the Arbitrator started making small talk with the Director, who knew from day one he was going to fire me regardless. In Hindsight I wish I never hired him. Very nice guy but way over-confident and he just didn't have the patience to do proper prep face to face and take some direction. A few thousand more I could have hired a specialist who won prior cases but it was too late. The money was gone and 9 years later I just now have enough money to sue the old job who pretty much conspired amongst a group to remove me. Can't really say more publicly do to an upcoming case to make this right, but please don't take what I say alone. Don't make the mistake I did. Do your homework first and look up case files with the right lawyers name attached. A took on Denis because a co-worker used him and this is not a good idea, especially if he is friends with the Jobs lawyer (who he under-estimated) that is coming after you. I don't say that with Malice but it is what it is. If Denis is all you can afford just remember, you get what you pay for, and once the bill is due, you to pay him win or lose regardless if he hypes you up and says he is going to save your job. Be careful. Life decisions when picking a lawyer have lasting affects financially and mentally.

You get what you pay for. He is a nice guy but when you are trying to get an end result regardless of win or lose, he can get deer vision and stop hearing you. Before I knew it, the other side was having a friendly conversation with the Arbitraitor and while my team was out the room. The case was doomed but I needed two points of interest put into the case file. This guy just would not listen.

Coco took our money and then wasted our time. We hired him regarding probate for an estate. He never filed any paperwork in the almost 2 months we retained him. Then decided without speaking to me that he was dropping us. NO phone call. Just didn't send out paperwork out and ghosted me. He needs to retire. Hopefully the bar catches up with him.
I recommend filing a complaint if you have tried to use him. I think he is semi-retired and fails to tell clients. No one answers their phones or returns calls in a timely fashion. No sense of urgency in his work.
I do not recommend hiring him for any matters .

Michael Coco needs to retire. He is not in the office much, and went away after everyone came back the day after Labor Day. He cost me a the transaction at my house after I asked several Attorneys their thoughts. Unresponsive, a bit too old to deal with the constant flow of communication in todays world. Sorry to have to highly recommend to not use his services.
