I hired Attorney Page when my ex boyfriend stole my dog away from me and I had to attend court to get her back. He was very thorough and paid attention to details throughout out my case. He kept me updated through the entire process and sent me copies of all documents along the way. I also appreciated that Attorney Page would have multiple back ups plans depending on how the defendant would respond to certain actions. Very professional and compassionate! Attorney Brandy Thomas was extremely organized, responsive, and efficient. I found Ed on this website and consulted with him about my outstanding debt that I couldn’t collect from one of my ex-tenants. I called twice because the first time I had to cut the call short because I was running to another meeting, he was available both times. Ed was very straight forward and told me his assessment of the situation. There was no sugar coating and upselling.
I felt that Ed was very honest and straight forward to the point. Sometimes you just need a legal expert to point you to the right direction without all the fluff.

What can I say about Keith Scherer and Greg Gagne, mostly nice things. Have you ever been accused of something horrible you didn't do and having to convince everyone you're innocent? I've tried to maintain my good morals and positive work ethic during my time in the dark and prove to everyone my innocence but having two TDS lawyers just wasn't enough. My dad referred me to these guys, one a gentle being who examines everything and the other a straight shooter who gets straight to the problem (no beating around the bush, this is real!). I have been extended past my ETS Date for over a year because of a sexual assault and domestic violence issue my ex wife's accusations originating based on spousal support and deployment pay, thanks to Scherer, Gagne & associates, I'm now a free man who will be out processing soon with my hard earned benefits and DD-214 in hand. My wife and I can continue to live our lives without the burden or stress of my ex wife and I will be able to sleep comfortably knowing that I won't be a registered sex offender or a resident of a military brig of Leavenworth. We all know that SHARP/ SARC is always advertised especially around posts, but when you become a victim of being the wrongfully accused, just remember these guys, they will get you back on the right track. I have had a mental health condition for over 25 years now and because I often refused to take my medication I racked up a pretty extensive criminal history. A rap sheet. When I received charges of Robbery, Threatening, and Assault I feared I would be doing some more jail time probably like a year or so.
Fortunately, a bail bondsman recommended Attorney Klein to my wife. We had a consultation with him. After reading the police report and asking me a few questions Atty. Klein immediately noticed that there was no Robbery and no way that a judge would convict me on that charge. Right away he was going to take the felony out of the equation. He also said that because there were mitigating circumstances he could probably get the two misdemeanors of 2nd degree Threatening and 3rd degree Assault reduced to probation. I was confident in his ability after speaking with him and seeing some of his testimonials on the wall in his waiting room. So we retained him.
In the first meeting with the prosecutor, the prosecutor brought to the surface that I had fourteen convictions. I was worried, but confident in my counsel. Atty. Klein did just what he said he was going to do and he got the Robbery charge thrown out. So now we were left with two charges, one of them being violent. Atty. Klein told the prosecutor we could settle with a short amount of probation.
I was still a little worried that the prosecutor might not agree to my Attorney's proposal but Atty. Klein informed me that the prosecutor was considering it based on how the victim reacted.
So we had to wait longer while the victim's advocate did their job. It turns out God was with me because the victim did not want to condemn me but just to see me get some help.
So when all the dust finally cleared after long continuances do to Covid 19. Atty. Klein did exactly what he said he could do in his consultation and the Robbery charge was dismissed and I was able to plead out to two misdemeanors and ended up with a short probation. At the time I was eligible for a public defender, but after years of dealing with court system I know that had I chose to take that course my outcome would not have been as good. A public defender also known as public pretender in the incarceration system and is a state's attorney just as a prosecutor is a state's attorney. In my experience they are just there to facilitate ease of operations between the judge and the prosecutor and the accused. They don't take the time to really hear you out or fight for your case.
If you are facing charges spend the money and hire a good private attorney because in the long run you'll be glad you did.
And if you need to hire a good private attorney hire Atty. Klein in Hartford. He is a powerful lawyer with almost 50 years of experience. He was able to keep me out of jail and he can do it for you too.

Mindless incompetence. At least in probate. Couldn't get forms filed despite multiple attempts and senseless excuses. Would go for months without hearing a thing from them and when I would call all I would hear was more senseless excuses and lies. As far as meeting Mr. Perkins I wouldn't know. I never spoke to him once. I used to try to sneak past the paralegals to get to the attorney but they always caught me. Probably have lots of practice. When I finally did get to ask her how this was so screwed up her reply was "it is what it is". It's for sure that in this law firm if something goes completely off the rails there's no one to get it back on. Hard to say how much time was lost trying to settle my case, probably a year at least. Attorney Ronalter is one of the best lawyers I have ever encountered, and because I am a lawyer myself, I have encountered many. But I did not know Bill professionally until I found myself needing a personal injury attorney. I had been in a motor vehicle accident, where the nature of my injuries initially impaired my ability to see how much I needed a lawyer. By the time I hired Bill, there would be unforced errors in my case that he would have to clean up or live with. Attorney Ronalter never flinched at any of them He dealt with each one, always remaining a strong advocate for me, while never letting me lose sight of what was realistic. His high goals were mixed with just the right amount of reality. For me, this is part of what made him a great lawyer.
When it was time to discuss new events in the case, or the results of my evaluations, or what path to take next, he never made me feel rushed or as if there was a better case he could be working on, while he was working on mine. He always gave me his full attention and he always gave me full and prompt briefings on what had occurred in the most recent communication with the defendant’s carrier. And then, as if to tell me he saw me as a whole person and not as a vehicle to a pay day, he would ask about my dogs and tell me about his own.
In the handling of my case, I can’t imagine any lawyer doing more or doing better or treating me with more kindness. In the end, when he had gathered every fact and had put the events and my injuries together, he presented me with an honest assessment of what he thought and how he saw it from different angles; but then did what any good lawyer should do: he left the final decision to me. He told me he would be support me whether I chose to settle my case or let it continue into litigation. And he meant it. I chose the former, and he negotiated an excellent settlement that made sense in light of all of the facts. It felt right to me then, and it still feels right to me now.
I knew before I ever asked for an initial meeting with him, that he was a competent and experienced lawyer. Quick research can provide anyone with that information. But I could not have known through research how kind, considerate, and accessible he would be. He kept me informed every step of the way. He responded to every one of my phone calls. He answered every question with complete candor and honesty. He worked as hard on my case as anyone possibly could have and then secured the outcome I wanted. And if all that were not enough, after our professional relationship ended with the settlement of my case, Bill contacted me to send his condolences when he learned that my dog had died a month into the pandemic. That’s just who he is.
I would recommend William J. Ronalter to anyone who needs a great lawyer and who also wants his lawyer to be a good human being.

I originally was referred to Shipman and Goodwin by another attorney. After interviewing with Bill and Jim, I was convinced this was the legal team I wanted to take over my automobile accident lawsuit. Throughout the entire duration of my case, the attention, professionalism and care that Bill displayed with his associates, lacked in absolutely nothing short of perfection. I had received a charge for reckless driving (major moving violation) and sought Jason's legal counsel. Appoximately one year ago my wife of almost 27 years asked to end our marriage. A few days later we agree to get a divorce. A close business associate gave me a referral to the law firm of Freed/Marcroft in Hartford on Main Street. Our first meeting was in early August 2014 and our divorce proceedings ended just before Christmas of 2014 with the guidance of Lawyers Meghan Freed and Kristen Marcroft.
During a lengthy initial meeting between all parties they suggested we take a collaborative approach to completing our divorce. In this approach the attorneys help/guide the two parties involved to come to agreement on a couple dozen issues that will ultimately make up the divorce agreement that would be acceptable to the courts. They took a great deal of time to understand our years of marriage, and how each person fit into the marriage and how each person viewed the end of the marriage. At every meeting and with every phone call or email they would stress that every decision made would have to be very fair for each party. They constantly sought to educate on each topic, and remind each party of the attorney's role in this type of divorce process.
Kristen and Meghan handled the stickiest problems and contentious points with great expertise and finesse. They showed the utmost compassion and a caring attitude to both parties, which is surely not the case in most proceedings. By having two lawyers helping through the process, you get two distinct skillset and two checkers. That was most useful in overcoming some of the sticky situations that arise in the divorce process.
Kristen and Meghan move us through the entire process on a schedule they set up based upon our wishes and parameters. True to their word and nature they took us through that horrible day in court with compassion and understanding. They were able to interject themselves into the proceedings where many other of their contemporaries might not bother, which made our day easier.
Freed/Marcroft handled all our paperwork and filings under the watchful eye of Robin, the practice manager. Phone calls were returned within a sort of reasonable time, with emails and texts returned much quicker. I'm over fifty and still like voice. Email does seem to be the preferred method of communication. Kristen and Meghan were very upfront about how they get paid, what options for payment were available to us and ultimately what they felt would be the most cost efficient way to proceed.
Let me stress that the collaborative approach to divorce is not for everyone!! Kristen and Meghan will tell you as much right up front. If you want a team to help end a an important part of your life in a dignified way that is fair to all you should highly consider using Kristen Marcroft and Meghan Freed.
