I have never, EVER been so disrespected by a complete stranger in my life, especially who's sole purpose is meant to help me in a very stressful legal situation. When this paralegal called me (and I couldn't tell you her name because she mumbled it, but she was Lycans') she was rude, callous, and plain CRUEL about my situation. She "blamed the victim," as they say, and then told me the office couldn't help me even though she had no idea what she was talking about. I've since hired Mr. Hudspeth and he is fantastic. Stay away from this firm.

I called to receive information and look into my options of what I can do regarding custody. As of right now I know that I can’t go to court but I was trying to get ahead of the ball game and make sure I could have everything in order. The person on the phone was very rude, kept trying to talk over me, and wouldn’t listen.

Mr. Avery represented my (young adult) son recently, and I would give a 0 star if possible. My son received 0% counseling for his offence after paying thousands of dollars in fees. Mr. Avery drug his case out nearly 3 years. During this time my son would request zoom meetings to receive counseling for his offense and to ask questions and Mr. Avery would leave him sitting on the phone waiting, and was almost ALWAYS a no show. Mr. Avery NEVER returned phone calls or emails. Between myself and my son we drove 9 hours to appear in court after being told his case would finally be heard, Mr. Avery arrived hours late, continued his case (again) and told my son and myself "if you pay more money I can help you" in front of the entire courtroom. When his case was finally heard, Mr. Avery poorly represented him. I honestly think his case would have had a better outcome if he had represented himself. Afterwards, he received his plea in the mail and has not been able to receive any kind of explanation even weeks later. If you want to pay someone to waste your time and money Mr. Avery is the one for you.

U P D A T E: paying this guy for $200 fir advice that he said he couldn’t help me… I didn’t give up. I went back to the window company and climbed the ladder by talking to managers, supervisors, directors, and finally the COO. The window company reimbursed me the per price for each window they made a mistake on. In excess of $6000. The $200 was a lesson learned not to quit until I get the right answers. So please if you need legal help go to an attorney that at least has an office that doesn’t look like he has set up shop for a quick buck.
I wouldn't go to his office in the dark and parking on the street nearby where you can't see your vehicle ranked ZERO in that area, for me! I got into the makeshift office and the tiny waiting room floor was covered with leaves and debris blown in from the outside. Before I could get my coat off, the receptionist asked for a credit card for the $200 pre-visit charge ??? and handed me paperwork. I asked her, "you want me to pay now before I even see the attorney?" A flat "YES" was delivered.....good GOD! When he finally appeared in the inner office he had a 5 minute conversation with his office girls before he ever looked through the reception window to see me sitting there. I got into the room with a table and chairs and he basically repeated the exact conversation that I'd had with his receptionist when I made the appointment. (what receptionist needs to have all the details before she grants you an appointment???) after telling me he didn't think he could help me. No letter to the company that I had a grievance against, no addressing the fact that the company lied to me and was literally a bait and switch operation, just.... "sorry, there isn't anything worth chasing here as far as I can tell...." WORST lawyer I've ever faced and I used to work in the DA's office in my home state of NY....this guy makes an ambulance chaser look like an amateur. #DontWasteYourTimeOrMoney

I hired Mr. Berman in 2012 to handle my divorce and child custody case. He did an excellent job, always communicated in a timely manner, and never overcharged me--the way so many attorneys try to do. I am a professional who works with child support cases and i know for a fact, many people in these situations, when things don't go their way in court, end up trying to blame their attorney. Don't believe any negative reviews about Mr. Berman. He did a good job for me and I highly recommend him.

With him as my attorney I was negotiating and compromising with my abusive, alcoholic ex. I never got to present any evidence. My child’s safety and my own safety was in question. He advised I not get a dvpo against my ex. My son and I were constantly in dangerous situations and he was no help. I switched attorneys and now have sole custody of my son and a dvpo against my ex. My ex ended up with two dwi’s, and felonies for pulling a stolen gun on people at a gas station. If you have a simple case Mr Britt may be okay, but if not go with someone else.

Lee Britt was appointed as my court appointed attorney on January 11, 2022. Unfortunately he wasn't able to represent me due to a conflict of interest. He withdrew from my case on February 3, 2022. I was never able to meet with him or talk him at all but he was still was willing to do 6 hours of labor for me even though it was a conflict of interest. A judgment was entered against me on May 19, 2022 for the 6 hours of labor performed by Lee Britt. Unfortunately I was never given a copy of the judgment and can't obtain a copy of the judgment from the courthouse. Today Lee Britt assured me that it was easy to get a copy of the judgment. I only give him 4 stars instead of 5 because it has been 13 months since the judgment was entered and I still don't have a copy of that judgment. Hopefully, Lee Britt can get a copy of this document for me.

When you call to obtain a paid service from an attorney and their secretary is rude, arrogant and hangs up on you when you ask them a question, it's usually a bad sign. I haven’t ever written a review on anything or anyone in my life.
Mr. Ceruzzi deserves to have some light she’d on the caliber of individual he is. My children were abducted, and removed from the state. This was the result of a highly contentious divorce, spanning over 3 states, foreign custody orders, and enough drama to require weeks for trial prep. I hired Mr. Ceruzzi on a Friday, he represented me on a Monday! He took the time to hear me out, and he’s the first of 4 lawyers in this process that truly cared.
He never mentioned the bias towards men getting custody of children, never uttered one negative outlook on the case, and that’s not a common trait these days.
Mr. Ceruzzi placed my daughters well being above other cases that were more pressing I’m sure! Mr. Ceruzzi is the reason I have full custody of my daughters. He’s the reason they have their own beds to sleep in. He’s the reason I wasn’t forced out of my daughter’s lives.
Words can’t describe how much the acts this man did for my family meant to me.
If you want someone who identifies and is just as passionate as you are about the case at hand... I’d say there is no better option than Mr. Ceruzzi.

I first retained the services of Ann D. Maready in 2015 to handle my divorce. I was living out-of-state at the time due to professional obligations. I wasn't pleased with the services I was receiving or the end result, but in the end I went with her advice as I simply wanted to get my divorce over with. I take some responsibility for the results in my divorce as I didn't consult an attorney sooner, however I still felt like I didn't receive the best assistance. I then consulted her again in 2018 to potentially assist with a child support modification and still wasn't pleased with the service provided. I felt like after consulting her that I literally had no options, even though I have since found that not to be the case under NC legal guidelines. This was just my experience with this attorney after having both hired and consulted her, I cannot speak for anyone else.

My brother and I walked into the office to sign some paperwork pertaining to my mothers lack of a wheel. No one said anything to us. There were two people behind the desk when was standing and they were talking. They continue to talk and ignore us for quite some time. I made sure I was standing right in the window waiting for someone to say just a minute please will be right there or stop talking in and say can I help you. Neither one of those was done. There was no good morning have a seat or anything. The same when we left there was no have a nice day and no one smiled . It was as if it was the worst job anyone could ever have. This area needs a little work and I’m not nitpicking because going to work is not always the greatest thing. What you can least put some effort into greeting the customers. Not just the customers that you think are worthy, but every customer that walks in that office. If I didn’t need that paperwork, I would’ve walked out.

This Office had to endure two buyers failure to close on our Estate Sale and heirs scattered all over the Country, but they were great and quick to respond to any questions we had. After taking my money, failed to return phone calls in a prompt manner if at all. Wasn't prepared for our meeting before court as he couldn't find my documents. Wasn't prepared for court either, presented someone else's evidence as mine. When the Judge made his decision, Mr. Oswalt took notes and asked relevant question. But, it really didn't matter as he decided to come up with his own decision contrary to the Judges and got the Judge along with the apposing lawyer to sign off on it. I brought it up several times through email that he was wrong that he needed to listen to the court recording. He just blew me off. He ended up pushing my custody back 2 years due to his neglect.

As a female professional, I’ve worked with countless attorneys. As a spouse of a military officer, new to the area, I had limited insight in obtaining experienced Onslow Co representation which led me to Lana. I’ve never met a more unprofessional legal ‘professional’. She doesn’t introduce herself, she doesn’t advise options, and she does as LITTLE AS POSSIBLE, and makes absolutely no effort to assist in providing much of ANY NECESSARY information to be well-informed and prepared; something I contracted and was PAYING for! As others have stated, she is RUDE and lacks any sort of helpful demeanor. Don’t waste your time or your money: people that give her good reviews obviously don’t have much experience dealing with professional lawyers or representation.

I was married for 14 yrs in a marriage that lasted way too long. He left me financially destroyed. My Lycans didn't get me any sort settlement on the divorce. Didn't even try to. In the custody battle, I had 3 cases left to trial, she switched to my ex husband's lawyers law firm & could no longer represent me. So I had to hire another attorney last minute. What was worse is that she had put in her contract that I signed originally that I couldn't get my money back if it happened. So she knew the entire time she was switching to his lawyers lawfirm.
