Scott Riordan is one of the most impressive, trustworthy and respectful professionals that I have had the pleasure in meeting. Seeking legal representation for my son was not the way that I desire in meeting remarkable people; however, Scott was a God Sent for a rather bizarre case in which my 17 year old son fell victim to perceived deceptions and falsehoods. Facing a stacked deck in an unyielding and bias court room; Scott was able to expose truths regarding charges placed on my son and turn the prosecution's questionable conducts against them, thus allowing a jury of my son's piers to reach an overwhelming not-guilty verdict for 3 felonies and possibly 20 plus years in prison. Once again; I cannot facilitate enough positive regarding Scott and his associates that also entered our Defense Team; under Scott's guidance. Scott's years of experiences along with his integrity, dedication, resources and passion places him on a plateau above most within the Legal System. Thank You Scott, Bar none; you are second to none in the eyes of my family along with dozens of friends, relatives, and hundreds of citizens in our community who were supporting my son and witnessed his triumph. Aside from the office staff/paralegal this was an abysmal experience. I met with Michael and explained what I was looking for from him. In the initial meeting he told me a little about the process and charged us the fee.
I didn’t hear back from him for 3.5 months. When I called him to ask for an update you could hear the panicked paper rustling in the background. He said he’s been meaning to call me and set up a meeting for me to sign what he prepared, basically a two page document riddled with errors. He said he would keep me posted along the way.
I didn’t hear from him again for a couple weeks when I again reached out to him. He said he would call me the next week with an update.
Two weeks later I had to call him for an update because he never reached out.
The work I needed from him was eventually completed but I can’t help but feel like I was his lowest priority client and he made no efforts to communicate with me.
I will be looking for another law firm for my future estate planning and real estate needs.
I’m sure some of the lawyers here are fantastic because there are so many good reviews and my families attorney had recommended them, but I will not be using this firm again.
