if you get salena campbell assigned as your public defender ask to be reassigned immediately. she is a crass and arrogant woman and doesn’t really know what she is doing. also took her months to reply to my initial emails and calls, then failed to let me know that she had scheduled a hearing for me when she finally did contact me.

Terrible customer service. Contacted the office many times and no help at all. I understand you guys don’t care but please it is still you guys job to do right by people . Contacted the receptionist multiple times her name is Martha and was never contacted back. Was very patient to wait and see if anyone was going to get back but never did. I know it’s not you guys fault that life happens and people go through things but please don’t look or treat people any differently!!! That’s just not right ! All you had to do was contact us back but never did just until it is time to go before the judge then they have that time but there is not much time to discuss anything. I have questions right now so that I am prepared before the judge. It’s just ridiculous! I wish someone to just get back to me !!!!

By the time I was able to leave a very abusive husband I had gone from Phi Theta Kappa to barely able to think. Mark was a true blessing in my life. His assistant Morgan is fantastic as well, she is efficient, kind and I could go on and on about both of them. Your search is over, you found them. Mark is simply the best of the very best.

I am very grateful today for the knowledge and help of Mark Gouras. I think he is likely the best of the best family law attorneys. Divorce is a time that you want the best attorney you can get; it can make a life changing impact. I might not have had equal custody of my son today if it weren't for Mark's experience . His assistant, Morgan, is very responsive and helpful as well. Good people here. Highly recommend.

I hired Mark Gouras as my divorce lawyer in August of 2021. My divorce was difficult for me. He was welcoming and I felt secure hiring him. I checked around with other lawyers but I'm glad I went with him. Mr. Gouras was professional and I didn't feel swindled or cheated out of my time or money; one of my chief worries when I started looking for a lawyer. My case wasn't straight forward but I felt like I was being represented by someone with more than enough experience. Do not go with just any lawyer. Bad/cheap lawyers will cost you more in the long run when it comes to divorces. I cannot recommend him enough to anyone who needs his services. I came out the other side of this ordeal feeling better than I would've assumed and it was because of him and his paralegal. He absolutely made a positive difference in my life and future prospects.

I’ll start with the Pros: 1. He sounds confident. 2. He did work with me on payment and costs. Cons: 1. He did not file my sister’s declaration after she emailed it to both of us and he said he would multiple times. 2. He is difficult to get ahold of at times. I have multiple unreturned emails. 3. His para filed something that was not to be filed and was private. 4. He filed for my attorney costs to be paid by my ex but he failed to bring it up on 2 occasions with the commissioner to actually be heard and ruled on. 5. He made blatant false statements in hearings. Likely from his lack of preparation. 6. He presented that my kids were in swim lessons and something else…not even true. He did not present the facts. 7. He didn’t have a game plan. He kept asking me what he should say. This was odd. I paid him $5K and I didn’t get much in return. He withdrew from my case before the custody trial because I ran out of money. I would have fired him anyway.

Mr. Floyd helped me with a third party custody dispute regarding my grandson and his parents, who are drug addicts and felons. I felt listened to about my concerns for my grandson, and he really understood what was at stake and how important it is for my grandson to continue living in my home and not be returned to his parents. He gave me sound advice and thanks to Mr. Floyd and his experience and expertise in family law, I have maintained third party custody of my grandson.

Attacked me personally when I asked her for help on my case. Told me I was in the wrong and talked down to me, called me names. Refused to help the moment she saw the case materials. Case was just heard in court and guess what? I was NOT in the wrong per the judge. She is unskilled and unhelpful at best, biased boomer Karen at worst.

Susan Beecher helped us through a very rough case (our business partner sued us) where we barely had any proof for our truths and the plaintiff had all the proof to make us look guilty. We have been working with Peter over the last 7 months as he was assigned our son's case. While our son is an adult, he is very immature. Peter treated him with respect, continually kept us updated, speaking with us at every court hearing. He was professional, thorough and truly caring. I am forever grateful. It is now up to our son to change, I am forever appreciative that our son has an opportunity to have a "second chance"

I'm from California and back in April of this year I was pulled over while in Washington and arrested for DUI. Through a several month process Peter Peaquin was able to get my case reduced to Reckless Driving along with Alcohol classes, etc. Peter went beyond what I expected during this very difficult time in my life, making himself available for my many phone calls and relentless questions. The two of us had countless conversations going through my case, and how we would proceed, and as I mentioned answering all of my questions and concerns that I would write down for our follow up calls. Peter and I built a strong relationship during my case and numerous trips from California for court appearences. One example would be how he'd take time, sometimes hours after court to sit with me over coffee and talk about my case, our obtions and the direction we were going in. Peter was able to get my case reduced and I am more than happy with the outcome. I cannot say enough about how at ease Peter made me feel through the process (as if he had known me for years) and I fully trusted him from our first phone calls, never even having met the man at that point in time. I would recommend Peter to anyone who needed an honest, straight shooting attorney that they could trust would do the very best job possible. ..I know he did for me and I am grateful to have found him. My husband and I wanted to post a review for Mark McClure law. We reached out to many other Law firms and were surprised at the hasty manner of how our call was processed. We reached out to his office and had such a wonderful experience, all the people we spoke with were very professional, personable, kind and understanding. Our consultation with Mark McClure was equally professional, and he provided us with exceptional information and guidance for the predicament we are facing. Based on our experience we would recommend Mark McClure Law.

Hello all, Below is my personal review for the Law office of Mr. Mark McClure. In my personal opinion, I think Mark McClure and his office staff are one of the most professional law offices around. If you are looking for a bankruptcy attorney to help you with your issues then Honestly, stop right here and call his office. They made the process for us comfortable, smooth and Very reassuring, once I contacted them NO creditors called us to bother us and that is one of the things most people are looking to stop- the annoying phone calls from creditors or collection agencies! His staff, (Kim & Averie) were wonderful and helped us throughout every step of the way all the way to the completion of our case. Call his office and let them assist you with your case. ABSOLUTELY NOT. This attorney ruined my life. Hired him for a custody matter after my boyfriend and I split and I made the mistake of telling him I was going back to CA so he ended up serving me papers for custody. Therefore, a bulk of what I needed David for was approval from the courts to move back to CA due to not being from here & having no support system & my ex and his family sucked. As an attorney who says they are familiar in family law, you’re telling me you don’t know something as basic as the fact WA has no jurisdiction over a child who hasn’t been living here 6 months. Took 2 seconds for me to figure this out on google, and you've been practicing law for how long and didn't know this? My child was 3 months old!!!!! Then I point it out in one of our meetings & he says “oh well there’s nothing that can be done now, we had to say something at the first appearance”. So incompetent. Took forever to file any paperwork and sucked at communication. Then when I pointed out his negligence towards my case he got offended. Eventually ended up dropping me halfway through my case, saying he didn’t like the opposing parties attorney (you mean you knew you didn't have the knowledge to go up against someone who actually knew what they were doing). Who drops someone trying to fight for their child halfway through a case. Complete imbecile & wasted so much money on him for no reason.

Ms. Hunter is a well-connected (i.e. resourceful) attorney, old-schooled (think RBG, kind, balanced approach to law), thorough, transparent, and timely. My one advice for prospective clients is while you should make your own choices, listen and weigh carefully to what she advises — as she will present the law you as it will possibly be.

I came to Kim with a very sensitive case involving my children. She was very knowledgeable about the law and kind to me considering the circumstances. She was prompt with any questions I had and very reasonable with her fees. She was able to negotiate an even better outcome that I would have thought possible. I would recommend her services to anyone in need of a lawyer.

Matt was able to help our financial situation by providing good counsel representation and strategy thinking. Of course we had to do our part which was a lot of work. I was surprised to see a 1 star rating posted by another client. Appears my 5 star experience is the majority and not an exception. Matt helped us navigate some rough waters and we have been blessed to have had his help. He is a good person and great attorney. Thank you Matt.

Mr Iwama helped us with a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. When we first met him we were impressed by him. He said he could help us renegotiate our debt ( we had a second mortgage, car loan, and a few credit cards). He said that the entire bankruptcy would be 3 years and the payment would be less than $200 a month. He said that we'd have a credit rating over 700 by the time we'd be done. After review we ended up with a 5 year plan and now I'm finding out that even after the 5 years are up I still will owe money! Every time we call him he "suggests" a re-negotiation of our plan (at the cost of $300 bucks and hour). I now wish that I had done my research better and found someone that has an interest in helping people, I am not opposed to lawyers getting $300 dollars an hour but I don't not think he's actively trying to help his clients. Whenever I call his office the conversation is usually filtered through his very nasty secretary. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an attorney to look elsewhere.

My divorce involved custody of a minor and asset issues. In addition, my wife's overseas parents paid carte blanche for her attorneys (there were four in succession), who pursued multiple phantom issues put forth by my wife. Gretchen handled the legal issues superbly and patiently steered the process to the point where my wife perjured herself on a very sensitive issue. I never doubted that Gretchen knew exactly how to protect my best interests and those of my son. The process was tortuous, of course, but I was always completely confident about Gretchen's attention to the case and her efforts on my behalf. Most importantly, she took my case to heart. She cared about the outcome and about my and my son's well-being. Due to Gretchen's diligence I have joint custody and an extremely equitable parenting plan and support plan. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

I retained Gretchen Neale as counsel in early 2012 to assist me with a minor modification to my parenting plan agreement. I am very pleased with my end result. Gretchen was attentive and responsive and a bull dog when I needed her to be. There was a short time that she was away on maternity leave and I was passed off to another lawyer in her firm: Jillian Pressnall. My experience as represented by Pressnall was absolutely horrible in comparison as with her I felt abandoned and alone. The only reason I did not leave the firm at that point was because I knew the approximate return date for Gretchen Neale so I dug my heals in and waited. Upon Gretchen's return, I again felt again that I had a lawyer that was attentive and responsive. Gretchen is a petite woman with balls of steel. I highly recommend.

When I retained the services of Gretchen Neale , I thought I was retaining a high level practitioner , a fluid attorney to represent my position throughout my dissolution process , it became very apparent in court I had mad a sub-par decision ,her court demeanor was to be completely steamrolled by opposing council and then the only response from her to the judge was "Certainly" ? . I understand the etiquette and demeanor necessary in a courtroom. However when it was her turn to speak she was extremely Green in her ability to articulate to the court her clients position effectively , thus proving her inability to professionally argue many viable points so as to help her client standing beside her. The office setting has shown a number of inconsistencies , Except for Billing efficiency , I found my self receiving letters from the court outlining that I was in illegal non compliance (three times) for paperwork not submitted , I was quite shocked as I had been so diligent on my end of anything I needed to complete..... After repeated emails and phone calls, Gretchen finally did the necessary court paperwork and outlined to me the steps I needed to do , I find this highly incompetent that a attorney specializing in dissolution would not keep her clients up to speed and ahead of the process with all necessary paperwork/classes ect required , so everything is done timely and efficiently , you see this is why people hire specialized attorneys so all the "paperwork" is efficiently taken care of and managed for the client.... Getting a divorce can be a difficult process , combining those difficulties with a inexperienced and ineffective attorney can prove Very difficult and expensive ,my first hand experience with Gretchen Neale and her offices leeds to one Final conclusion.... MOVE ON..........

I hired John for an excessive amount to stand in on a phone call. All of the necessary documentation was completed and filed. All he had to do was talk for probably 15 minutes or less. He first asked for $3,000 to do this. After negotiating we agreed to $1,000 flat rate for the phone call only. The other party didn’t confirm and the hearing never happened. John than made up hours titled “prep work” took my money and ran. There was no prep, all the documents were prepared and we covered everything in a “free” phone consultation. When I inquired about getting my money back he took 85%. He literally did nothing. I have family in law out of stated and they were appalled by this situation. John had a free consultation with me and he is honest, ethical and tell me practically what I need to do to keep away my worry. He provided a lot of good suggestions and advice without hiding, so I actually get a lot info from this consultation. Not like some lawyers who asked a lot of questions but didnot provide advice, which kind of waste time and get almost nothing out from the consultation except retainer fee and hourly rate, I get really good legal advice from him.

Robert Jensen works for the firm Stewart, MacNichols & Harmell in Kent, Washington. He started out my case making it sound like he would provide a strong defense but over time he just wanted to do as little as possible and deal it out or go to trial unprepared for a real defense (alternative motive, credibility if witnesses, accuser, etc.). It's really too bad because I think he has the skills to do an excellent job but he may be overworked. A strong defense can only come about if you have a passion for justice and the time to devote to your clients. He's going to be replaced by someone from a different law firm who will take the time to do the hard work.
