I met with Craig and he filled me full of hopes and promises for my divorce/custody case. He promised to be aggressive and fight for what I wanted. That sounded great until it came time to actually work. Yeah he filed the paperwork and stuff but rarely ever contacted me about things, when it came down to court he pressured me to just go with the flow rather that fight for what I want becuse fighting was extra work. Then he didn’t even show up to my divorce hearing. He left for vacation and his substitute attorney didn’t show up either so I ended up looking like a fool in court with no representation having not seen the order of divorce till the day of the hearing and I had to revise it and make changes myself. Really wish I didn’t waste all that money on his family vacation. I feel completly disappointed and scammed.

I worked with Eric Lore and he went above and beyond working on my case. He has a lot of knowledge on how to evolve the process, and it was apparent he has kept up on the changes and additions to how one can be even more efficient and detailed in a family case now. He is the opposite of a lazy lawyer that just keeps to “old school” ways because it is comfortable and known. He took the time to do paperwork and forms and contracts that he has learned over time would be of a great help to a client in my case, and they were so helpful for my case to be as clear and protected as possible. He did not cut corners, and is a professional who applies what he has learned over time and experience (which he has a lot of in this work in family cases). When my case did call for an application of an “old school way,” because it could benefit me and would be clearer and smoother in the paperwork process, he knew just when and where to apply. He was so professional and *authentically* empathetic in times when I was struggling. That's a hard balance, but in my opinion, he has mastered that balance. He came highly recommended from another lawyer of mine (that also hired Eric for his own personal family case) so I knew if a lawyer spoke highly, it would be a great and thorough experience. Again, the whole experience exceeded my expectations. He is familiar with how to get things done with the least amount of challenges. But when any challenges came up, he assessed, took action, and we got through them quickly, clearly, and efficiently. Extra bonus is he showed poise, grace, and respect to the judge, even in moments that would have proved difficult for anyone else. I cannot say enough good things about Liz. I needed to change my estate planning documents as part of my divorce and was very disappointed when I learned that the attorney that originally drafted them charges $435 per hour! My divorce attorney referred me to Liz and said that I would get the same quality of work much less. I usually do not write reviews, but I have to say that Liz is not what you would expect from a tax and estate planning attorney. I was a bit skeptical at first because she looks about the same age as my daughter (she is in college). Also, her office arrangement is a bit different. From what I gather, she spends most of her time at the office of her main large client, but uses her home as an office.
I was very impressed with how Liz was able to explain things in terms that I understood. Liz also helped me straighten out some IRS issues and noticed some planning ideas that my accountant missed on my tax return. She also did a great job explaining some questions I had about like-kind exchanges.
So, don't be fooled by Liz's youthful appearance and outgoing, friendly nature. You can tell that she really enjoys her work and was every bit as knowledgeable as the other attorney that worked on my estate plan. I probably paid one-third for the same work my prior attorney would have done. I will definitely hire her again.

Liz is assisting us with business, tax and other legal issues for mine and my husband's dream a tasting room and distillery. She was recommended by a friend and we could not be happier. She recently helped us speed up the process of getting licenses from the local government. She doesn't have a fancy downtown office, but her rates were quite reasonable, probably as a result. Also, she is really like able for an attorney. She explains things well and never talks down to you.

The number one reason my husband and I chose to sign with our adoption agency and pursue building our family is because when we walked through the doors and spoke to the staff it just felt right. We went with our gut, which is important because adoption is about giving control over to anyone and everyone but yourself.
There are a lot of people in the adoption field who know what they’re doing and they do it well, so what makes Mary Addison rise to the top? She knows what she’s doing, she does it well, AND she feels right. She passes the gut-check with flying colors and there are so many reasons why! Mary and I communicated through email, text and phone calls for months before my husband and I travelled to Michigan for the birth of our child. Even hundreds of miles away we felt taken care of, understood and as if we were Mary’s first and only priority. I know now that there were times when Mary was swamped with work both personally and professionally but during the long weeks and months that we were matched with our son's first mother we never once heard about another case or another birth mom or another couple- we had her undivided and complete attention.
Mary is very professional and yet extremely human and personable. She is incredibly knowledgeable and competent and yet never made us feel silly when we asked a million and one questions. Michael represented me on a issue involving a fraudulent claim by my condo association in an attempt to counter an issue in which the association (and it's contracted employers) damaged property at my investment home. Michael was able to swiftly navigate through what appeared to be a muddied arena and identify the responsible party. From there he was able to sort through the issue, reaching a favorable outcome on the damages without and dragging me through what was intended to be a lengthy or expensive process. He kept me continually informed has he sorted through the murky issue of passed blame between the association and their contracted employers, and achieved the result I was seeking but likely would have never achieved without his legal council.

Robin was recommended to me by two attorney friends when I was going through my divorce. He was terrific -- easy to get in touch with, very willing to work with my schedule (I have three young children and a full-time job) and extremely knowledgeable. In the past, almost every public defender I've dealt with has usually attempted to get me to plead on my case as soon as possible--I'm sure in part because they're overburdened with cases--but it's usually at the expense of actually fighting the case.
Mr. Caltrider continued to fight for me even after I would have tapped out and agreed to the plea deal they had initially offered.
After a long saga thanks to COVID, nearly a year later and multiple offers by the prosecution--Mr. Caltrider was able to get my charges dropped completely.
I can't say enough good things about lawyers who actually care about and actually work on their clients behalf even though they were assigned the case as a public defense.
I'd like to thank him a dozen times over.
I definitely didn't need that on my record--and thanks to him--it's not!

I had Jeff draft a lease for me on my rental house. Since I was a first-time landlord, he was very understanding, and explained everything clearly. While this wasn't a demanding job, and I could likely have purchased a lease from one of several online sources, I felt much more comfortable having a local attorney handle the paperwork. Jeff didn't disappoint, as he was able to answer all of my questions and provide some good general advice in the process. Furthermore, I went back to him when I had to evict a tenant some time later. While I did not hire him to represent me in this case, as I felt I could navigate it on my own, his advice in the entire process was invaluable. His knowledge extends beyond the simple rule of law, as he is very familiar with the peculiarities of working in the Lansing area, and this was perhaps his greatest asset.
