I worked with Eric Lore and he went above and beyond working on my case. He has a lot of knowledge on how to evolve the process, and it was apparent he has kept up on the changes and additions to how one can be even more efficient and detailed in a family case now. He is the opposite of a lazy lawyer that just keeps to “old school” ways because it is comfortable and known. He took the time to do paperwork and forms and contracts that he has learned over time would be of a great help to a client in my case, and they were so helpful for my case to be as clear and protected as possible. He did not cut corners, and is a professional who applies what he has learned over time and experience (which he has a lot of in this work in family cases). When my case did call for an application of an “old school way,” because it could benefit me and would be clearer and smoother in the paperwork process, he knew just when and where to apply. He was so professional and *authentically* empathetic in times when I was struggling. That's a hard balance, but in my opinion, he has mastered that balance. He came highly recommended from another lawyer of mine (that also hired Eric for his own personal family case) so I knew if a lawyer spoke highly, it would be a great and thorough experience. Again, the whole experience exceeded my expectations. He is familiar with how to get things done with the least amount of challenges. My husband and I hired Eric back in February to handle a school/custody dispute between him and his ex-wife. Eric is the most detail-oriented lawyer I have ever seen. He asked lots of questions to learn our case inside and out. He was always honest when answering our questions even if the answer wasn't something we wanted to hear. He was always available, even after hours and never left us in the dark. He knew exactly what to do in and outside of the courtroom, he knows family law with expertise, and we could not be happier with our outcome! Our only regret is that we didn't have him as representation during my husband's divorce. I don't think we would have ever had to go through this a second time, if we had. I have had the pleasure of having the Kronzek firm represent me twice. With that said every legal situation is different, lawyers aren’t magicians. I promise you, at least from my 16 months of working with the firm, specifically Kyle Debrucker, that you will get a highly trained lawyer giving you advice that best represents your interests. Sometimes in family law it might be difficult but ask them question and you will get a well thought out answer of why the advised approach is warranted and the dangers or consequences of other approaches. The choice will always be yours they are firm on the belief but work hard to create an approach that meets your objectives. I have never been continuously defended and cared for the way the kronzek firm did. It was a long battle but sticking the line led to a very favorable result for me and the most important person to me my son. Just remember every situation is different and there are processes in all legal situations, and those processes are frustrating but it is the legal system. I promise you that the kronzek firm will work on your behalf better than most (if not the best in the state). Is the kronzek firm cheap? No but when it comes to custody disputes, CPS, divorce and other family matters you want the best and you pay for what you get. That being said they are very transparent with finances and you are billed for service not a flat rate. Any time I need a family lawyer Chuck and Kyle will always get my call. Poor communication, just simply forwards emails from the other party with no context, explanation, or suggestions. I had to beg for advise on how to proceed with a response. When it’s all done you just handed a stack of paperwork with no organization.

John English is the attorney I hired for my case and he was not only on top of the issues but treated me like I was the only case he was working on. He was also very supportive throughout the entire process. John English is an excellent attorney. Not sure where to begin.
I guess we should start with the first problem. I hired John's services 2 weeks before my first court date.
2 business days before my court date after not hearing from him. I decided to call him. Not knowing how things were going to go in court, I had a lot of questions. I was told by John that I need not to rush the court and don't worry about it we have plenty of time.
As soon as I told him court is on Monday. He immediately put me on hold and figured out that he could not even be there for my first court date.
Fortunately the firm had one of the other attorneys go to court with me and she was great. I wish I would have hired her instead of John.
The part that blew my mind was at my sentencing. The man that repeatedly told me how bad my situation was after reading statements from all parties involved. He sits down and reads the statement with the assistant of the prosecuting attorney. He then tells me that he wish he would have a chance to read that sooner. Well my first sit down meeting with him. We read through all the statements together.
I feel that I would have had the same or better results with my outcome if I would have just went with the court appointed attorney. One last thing.
Someone that has been in this line of work for 30+ years should not be stuttering and using the words um, uh, and other things like that when he is speaking to the Judge. I am a ninth grade drop out and can handle my wording better than that. Oh and yes he loved throwing in my face that I was a ninth grade drop out.
I will just say. I wish I would have saved the THOUSANDS of dollars I paid for such in incompetent service.

I retained John English of Kronzek & Cronkright, PLLC for my defense on a misdemeanor drug charge. Since I had no criminal history, I was eligible for section 7411 in Michigan. John handled my case and not only got me section 7411, but my probation was limited to 90 days with the stipulation that it would end as soon I passed a drug test. Since John had advised me to avoid all drugs including alcohol, I tested clean and was immediately released from probation. My probation lasted about 15 minutes. I was very pleased and would recommend Kronzek & Cronkright as well as John English for your defense. Thanks John.

Do note that this institution will take far longer than any other to process a simple transcript request. Everywhere else does this electronically in one hour, this institution will take a full week - even though they receive $1,000 per credit hour more than any other institution.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Attorney Denise LaFave Smith (P65521) during my ongoing custody dispute. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend her services to anyone seeking fair and ethical legal representation. Here’s why:
First, Attorney LaFave Smith filed an ex parte motion on behalf of the plaintiff, Ms. Nikira Denise Price, which I believe was not only baseless but also violated my constitutional rights. The motion was filed under the Child Abduction Act, even though there was no legitimate basis for such a claim. I had simply picked up my son as per our usual arrangement, and Ms. Price was fully aware of his whereabouts at all times. Despite this, Attorney LaFave Smith pursued an ex parte order that severely restricted my parental rights without any real justification.
Moreover, a Personal Protection Order (PPO) that Ms. Price filed against me was never served, yet Attorney LaFave Smith used it as the foundation for further legal action. From March to June 2024, I had over 200 exchanges with Ms. Price, including calls and texts, and we met regularly without any mention of this PPO. This raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of the legal actions taken by Attorney LaFave Smith.
At a hearing on June 18, 2024, it became clear that Attorney LaFave Smith was unprepared, yet she managed to sway the court with unfounded claims, leading to extremely limited and unjust visitation rights for me. Following this, she attempted to shorten my objection period, and when I filed my objection within the correct timeframe, she labeled it "moot" and filed an amended order without any legal basis.
To make matters worse, Attorney LaFave Smith engaged in questionable tactics by texting me on July 1, 2024, threatening to have me arrested if I exercised my legal rights. Her behavior throughout this process has been not only unprofessional but also in violation of Michigan’s court rules, particularly regarding proper service and due process.
My son and I have been unfairly separated because of these actions, which has caused significant emotional distress for both of us. As a father who deeply cares about his child, I find it appalling that an attorney would engage in such unethical conduct. The legal system should protect the best interests of the child, but in this case, Attorney LaFave Smith’s actions have done the opposite.
If you are looking for an attorney who will represent you with integrity and fairness, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. My experience with Attorney LaFave Smith has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I’ve endured.

I have had the pleasure of having the Kronzek firm represent me twice. With that said every legal situation is different, lawyers aren’t magicians. I promise you, at least from my 16 months of working with the firm, specifically Kyle Debrucker, that you will get a highly trained lawyer giving you advice that best represents your interests. Sometimes in family law it might be difficult but ask them question and you will get a well thought out answer of why the advised approach is warranted and the dangers or consequences of other approaches. The choice will always be yours they are firm on the belief but work hard to create an approach that meets your objectives. I have never been continuously defended and cared for the way the kronzek firm did. It was a long battle but sticking the line led to a very favorable result for me and the most important person to me my son. Just remember every situation is different and there are processes in all legal situations, and those processes are frustrating but it is the legal system. I promise you that the kronzek firm will work on your behalf better than most (if not the best in the state). Is the kronzek firm cheap? No but when it comes to custody disputes, CPS, divorce and other family matters you want the best and you pay for what you get. That being said they are very transparent with finances and you are billed for service not a flat rate. Any time I need a family lawyer Chuck and Kyle will always get my call. Thanks for the hard work guys!
