When searching for a bankruptcy attorney I literally just picked a person out of the long list of attorneys. It must have been a kismet! I am not an easy person as I tend to avoid and procrastinate. And yes, this is a daunting process to get through. While working with Teri I was immediately impressed by her crisp business-like approach. She literally has every step mapped out and every resource you will need during this journey. She is brilliant! She was patient and understanding and was still able to keep me on track and motivated to not avoid and procrastinate. She prepared me for every step and explained all possible outcomes. Last year, I found myself in legal trouble due to a poor decision and unchecked mental health issues. Initially, I faced felony charges in superior court, and in a panic, I contacted multiple attorneys. What stood out about Brandon was that he took the time to review my case without pressuring me to hire him, offering an honest consultation on what he thought would happen. Other attorneys were more focused on securing my business, with one even suggesting I might face a lengthy prison term if I didn't hire them immediately.
Fortunately, the County dropped the felony charge, but then the city filed charges. I reached out to Brandon, who agreed to represent me. Understanding my financial situation, he reduced his fees and offered a manageable payment plan. We also agreed that I should seek treatment for my mental health, and Brandon worked tirelessly with the court system to find a solution that accommodated both my needs and the court's requirements.
Though the process took some time, Brandon successfully argued for a full dismissal, despite the court's initial hesitation. The city did not object, largely due to Brandon’s strong argument. I am deeply grateful to Brandon for making this experience as stress-free as possible. I feel very fortunate to have met Kokie through my son who asked the Senior Project Manager of the utility company which he worked for for a referral. The Project Manager had utilized Kokie's services for utility right-of-way negotiations.
I needed someone to complete my father's probate action that had stalled. It was a very complex probate that involved the sale of real property. When I first met with Kokie, she volunteered to pick up the case file from the previous attorney. Kokie immediately took charge of my father's estate and through her legal expertise and knowledge she reworked a complex and lengthy Purchase and Sale Agreement that led to the successful sale of the real estate. That was the "easy" part.
Next, she worked to create an equitable solution to the Asset Distribution process. Kokie communicated with each of my five siblings and proposed a TEDRA agreement that allowed some of the remaining real estate to remain with some of the family while the others received their share in monetary value. She then connected me with an outstanding CPA who worked out the dollars and cents and the capital gains issues of the distribution.
Oh, and also during this process, I hired Kokie to create our wills and Community Property Agreement. I then referred three of my sisters to Kokie to have their wills and directives drawn up as well. Kokie is a very sensitive woman that worked with compassion and professionalism in helping my sisters.
I could go on an on. I will say that if you only want an attorney to hold your hand, then don't hire Kokie. She is an aggressive, intuitive and knowledgeable lawyer who will take charge of your legal needs and work with diligence and efficiency in seeing them through to resolution.
In closing I would like to say that I have made a friend for life in Kokie and will most certainly call on her in the future for all of my legal needs.

I was referred to Mr. Lee through a lawyer referral service. After describing my case to him over the phone, which I took to be my initial (free) half hour consultation, he invited me to meet with him at his office to discuss my legal situation in more detail. I did so and went into depth with him about a civil action the State was taking against me along with related potential criminal charges from the County Prosecutor. Mr. Lee spent over two and a half hours studying my documents, asking case related questions of me while answering my own for him. He provided me with good legal advice and helpful information while demonstrating genuine interest in my personal outlook as well as the health and wellbeing of my family members, given our unusually demanding living situation. To my amazement, Mr. Lee charged me nothing for his time but simply stated that he’d take my case if I should eventually face charges.

Peter took over my estate case when I felt the judge was not giving my another attorney the proper respect. I'm sure the judge was doing what he felt was correct in giving the plaintiff every chance, but the judge stated one thing had been overlooked. Peter worked with my other attorney and calmed things down with the judge. He predicted the outcome of the bench trial exactly as the it came to be. The case was previously overworked and Peter broke it down into the simple case it was. At trial, the judge listened to the plaintiff's case, and then dismissed the case prior to listening to our case and reimburse me for legal expenses. What I appreciated the most was how Peter knew what would happen and where he needed to put his effort. I only wish I would have listened to him abut ignoring the "noise" (as he put it) rather than over working my responses. He did an excellent job in watching out for my interests and in guiding me.

I’m writing to highly endorse attorney Steve Knapp for you or your loved ones who may be seriously injured or killed by the acts of another person. Steve spent 3 ½ years helping me through a very stressful and difficult process of settling my serious and permanent injury claims with the State Department of Transportation and its contractor after I crashed my motorcycle in a construction zone one night on I-5. I’m very lucky that Steve got involved in my case early on. Steve immediately began gathering evidence to support my claim that the onramp had been left in a negligent condition which caused me to crash that night. Steve kept telling me that the facts of my case were like “spokes in a wheel” and his goal was to build me a wheel full of spokes, which he did do. The State and its contractor denied any responsibility to me for more than three years after my accident. They claimed the accident was entirely my fault or someone else’s fault other than theirs. But Steve was relentless and left no stone unturned in working up my case. He went to the DOT archives and found great records for my case; he investigated the accident scene; and he located and met with several witnesses and got written statements from them in support of my case. I was able to sit in on a few depositions of witnesses, and watching Steve was great. He was very prepared for each one, and he seemed to almost know what each witness would say, even before they said it. He was able to use the witnesses testimony to build lots of spokes in my wheel. Steve used to do defense work and he knows how the defense looks at a case, which I think gives him an edge because he can anticipate where the defense witnesses will attack his clients’ cases and he can prepare for it. Steve had me fully prepared for my own deposition by the defense attorney and for my examination by the defense doctor. Steve finally overwhelmed the DOT and its contractor with evidence that their negligence caused my accident, and we were ultimately able to reach a settlement of very high six figures. Steve is a down to earth kind of guy who is very easy to talk to. He kept in regular contact with me so I always knew what was going on with my case. I’m extremely happy with the work Steve did for me on my case and I give him my highest recommendation to anyone who has been seriously hurt or even killed by someone else’s negligence. J.
