Guy promised the world. Good communication, blah blah blah. Once he took my money. He will ignore your calls, voice messages, emails. This guy is not an attorney. He's a con man. I called him once when I was in town, and he answered pretended to be his "assistant." Once I told him the reason for my call, he clears his throat then laughs it off and tells me it's been him the entire time. Needless to say, if you need an attorney...DON'T HIRE THIS CONMAN.

We hired Mr Barbosa for our car accident case and he was very helpful. He was upfront and honest about our case and was able to settle it quickly and get our damages and car taken of along with a nice settlement check after expenses! Would highly recommend his office for your legal needs.

they have been working on my case for over 6 months ago- gave "Jason" $500 to start on my case, yet no respnose - tried to call him and speak w/ him and guess what, this morning - His phone seems not to be working. This is a simple case of "real estate" property that could have been taken care of w/ in 2 weeks - now over 6 months. All docs are there, down from the Police investigation, you call his office, yet you only get an anwering machine as to where noone will return your call, even if you life depended on it. Really? Is this how you treat your "clients"

I found out that she did malpractice on my mother's case. She told my mom that the case settled. My mom signed the release form to accept the settlement and the attorney gave my mom her "portion" of the settlement. In a nutshell, the statue of limitations of the case had expired. My mom could no longer proceed with her case with another attorney. Mom didn't do anything about all this, she is of she & continue with pain due to her fall. Don't waste your precious time with her. It's not worth it.

We used this attorney and she does not answer phone calls nor does she have the complete knowledge required to thoroughly represent someone. It was like pulling teeth to get a call back or email reply from her. Years later and the case is still open!

I was recommend to Ms. Judith, BIG mistake to go with her after 6 months of handling my case she had terrible communication, she would only talk to me by text which is very unprofessional if you ask me. I would text her and she would not reply back to me. Sadly till the person recommended me had to text her then she would reply back to me. She would set appts with me then came up with a personal problem to cancel. She would only contact me when it was regarding money. Sadly I had to waste my time and money on her with no refund because she claims she worked those hours with me when she really didn't do anything. I found out at the end that she took the LONG way with my case, and did it all wrong. I released her as my lawyer, best decision I made saved me more money and caused me less stress. I would NOT recommend her to anyone. I do hope she learns how to be a better lawyer and have better communication with her clients, because she is really unprofessional in my opinion.

Don't waste your money with Judith , she don't care about your situation , the only thing she wants is your money, if you have a case with Judith good luck but I would recommend to look for another attorney , she never answers the phone not even e-mails or messages unless you are going to pay, she is arrogant and she was never up to date for the latest information on my case, she lied about paperwork and documents she claimed that were sent time ago using excuses and more excuses. Lies and more lies that was one of the reasons I fired her she made me waste more than 4,000.00 dollars in a period of three years with not a significant progress in my case that's why I got rid of"Judith flores/ Saldivar attorney of law"and I feel very happy with my new lawyer.

We had the misfortune of spending $30,000 on Mario & got nothing in return. He never explains things, gets upset & walks away but when you ask a question his response was always "You have to have faith that God knows what he is doing". He can not form sentences when questioning witnesses on the stand, thinks you are too ignorant to understand & is on heavy medication throughout his trials. His license should be pulled and not given back. Worst decision of my family's lives to hire him.

This guy is an opportunist, he will say fancy words during the consultation to come across as if he is an aggressive attorney but as time passes, you realize he doesn't work on the cases. He doesn't remember facts, even though I provided them to him in a silver platter time and time again. In the court room, he didn't know my name and came off as unorganized, unfocused, sloppy, irresponsible. The JUDGE disliked his lazyness!!!!! He gets angry mood swings, demands money and provides no contract or statements. WORST OF ALL, he pushes his religion on you and prays for you even though you want to keep it STRICTLY BUISNESS with him!! He does this so that you can blindly trust him. If u decline prayer, he prays anyway, but yet he is quick to INSULT and PATRONIZE his clients as he pleases. He dropped the ball, gave me the run around, ignored my questions and said I don't like to just "TALK" I like actions but yet he falls short of them.

So he was recommended by a coworker. I needed a lawyer to speed up some paperwork snd do a petition to the court to have my husbands death certificate issued (since he has been missing for 4.5 years) all he said was yes I can do it charged me 600 and never heard of him. His assistant Jessica is so incompetent i had a different issue and needed a letter she said he could jot do it if I didn’t pay the 80 bucks so I send them she gets back to me and tells me he can’t do that type of letter. Then sends me back like 70 bc of the fees they charged them to process those 80. STAY AWAY

Not an attorney I would recomend. We terminated reprentation based on his lack of commitment to our case, lack of caring, does not return calls, nor will he be available. I deeply regret wasting my time and hard earned money with his firm. He promised a lot and dilivered nothing at all. Hope no one else goes through this situation

She took 3k from me for 2 days of work then failed to show up to my first hearing until 1.5 hours later.. after the judge called her screaming. Not that it made much difference that she were there. It was a slaughter. I took a chihuahua to a pit bull fight. I replaced her the next day and she had the audacity to complain about me wanting different representation because of “her reputation”. Save your money and invest it in an experienced lawyer.

This is no my first rodeo, I had priors before. I used another lawyer who's office wasn't as fancy but he kept in contact with me and kept me in the loop every step of the way overtime I went to go pay him (he does payment plans) he would have me explain to me what happen. We even drove to the seen of the incident, I was arrested on a private field which was one route he was going to take. He also asked me where the officer was parked and were I was parked so on the day they questioned the officer there was no way he could have seen my car. He made out a power point with miles of how close he would have to me, the landlord of the lot I was on said he had no problem with me driving on his empty lot. Point is he got my case dismissed as he said he would. Fast forward 10 years I was pulled over for drinking they kept changing my name, never called me to explain what pleas they were going to offer, oh yeah and the first time I ever saw Armando was the day of my court day, he took the overly harsh plea and said he said he see at the next hearing and left. His assistant then asked when we could have the rest of the money, we said can keep paying the 500 dollars and he said if you have if by friday i'll know off 500 and we were umm what? then he said ok $700. I felt like I was in the movie Casino, Ugh dealing with Brenda which I'm guessing is the jack of all trades. She doesn't tell you whats going on. Nobody really does, if you want a lawyer who puts you at ease and is in contact and with you 100% of the way. This team is not them. I have one more case and looking for another lawyer to get rid of this one and just have a better try and fix my last misdemenor. The worst do not give this lawyer you business or trust. I should have done my research hope this helps

Saurabh Mangi was nowhere to be found on multiple court dates. He only appeared once out of the dozens of times I had to show up to court. I called his office with no outcome. I don't live in the county & had to drive 6 hours to get to every single court case, to spend $120 on gas. He sent an associate of his once named Judith & she had absolutely no clue what was going on. He did not respond to my emails until finally I took a stand & sent him and Judith the same mail every single day until I got a response. When I did on October 13, 2011 he said he was in India getting married & then went on to respond: I'm doing you a favor not the other way around. Like I said I am court appointed so feel free to PAY another attorney to help you or get the court to appoint you another attorney. On October 15th 2011 he & his friends left me voicemails (that I still have) threatening me & warned me that they would come after me when I was in the valley . I was outraged that I even attempted to forward the case to the State bar disciplinary counsel, but got no justice. He doesn't seem to care much about his clientele whether they're court appointed or not, judging from his actions towards me. I would not recommend him to anyone & I only hope that the people he does appointed don't have to go through what I did.

I signed a contract with Stern Law Group who sent out findings one of the defendants quoting they found him completely at fault. They never filed a Motion with the Court for representation and the letters are commingling facts the closer we get to litigation. Then out of the blue they recused themselves citing wrong issues of record. The did not file the Motion to Withdraw since they never filed the Motion of Counsel of Record.

I hired this attorney to represent me and soon I found out I should not have trusted him. He took my money and found out he was leaking information about me and our case) to one of my family members , whom he knew would later on sue me. That family later on then sued me and used the information attorney Flores gave to her against me. Attorney Flores later on was helping out that family member who sued me and her attorney and used the information against me. I had to hire another attorney .

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
