Attorney Michael Daly Jr. In my personal opinion is a very dependable Attorney. My lawsuit was medical malpractice. I was admitted January 5, 2024 spine surgery February 22, 2024, discharged April 5, 2024. Four very long months. I was given the wrong medication 3 days prior too me being discharged. The Director of Nursing gave me a letter admitting the charge nurse realized at 3:00 am that I was telling her that it wasn't my medication so she had me take them. On April 23, 2024 I saw Mr. Daly gave him the letter and he said it was no fighting in court cuz the admitted they were wrong

Met Mr. Walker through mutual friends and he handled multiple issues for me and for my family, including a car wreck and child support/custody issues. He has been readily available at the last minute and worked tirelessly to successfully resolve issues for us. I cannot recommend Mr. Walker enough.

I would have given a 0 star rating if I could. By far, the worst experience I have ever had with a lawyer. It was definitely partially my fault for choosing this law firm. I trusted my fiancé, who was referred by a friend. But quickly, I became regretful of the choice that I made in doing so and so did my fiancé. If you want to do a great portion of your lawyers job, hear dead end information, endless excuses, and how everyone else is a liar, call this firm and ask for Brad Walker to represent you.

Mr. Ehrenberg spoke with me very few times over the 4 year period it took to settle my case. If I had an appointment his wife met with me not Mr. Ehrenberg. Once he set an appointment with me and his wife would go back and forth between the lobby where I was seated and towards the back of the building, I was never greeted by Mr. Ehrenberg. My daughter and I never even heard him speak. This was not a normal attorney/client interaction. Very little communication & shown no empathy. I still don't know what my diagnosis was to go forward with a lawsuit. I was told to find free clinics for medical treatment. My self-esteem & quality of life declined drastically because of my injuries. I would have to say not a good client relationship, he even accused me of stealing a refund check that was sent to his office, he had me in tears. I call this totally unprofessional. And then I found more clients he treated exactly the same.

I hired Harold Ehrenberg for a case that was not a "big money" case but was very important to me as it was against a massage therapist who injured me while performing a chiropractic procedure he was not licensed to do, and who lied about it when he was reported to his licensing board. I already had one attorney turn down my case because I wasn't seeking very much in damages. Mr. Ehrenberg was able to get the insurance adjuster to pay my claims without even filing suit, and I even received more than I expected. Mr. Ehrenberg is knowledgeable, professional, and kind; and despite my case not being that large as far monetary damages, I felt like he handled my case with the same care and expertise as he would handle a multi-million dollar suit.

Great Lawyer. Great legal team. Professional, knowledgeable and caring. Mr. Ehrenberg handled our case in a timely manner and kept us in the loop at every turn. He explained complex concepts and help us make informed choices. We were very pleased with the results. His negotiating skills helped us attain a settlement far more favorable than we had expected. We strongly recommend Mr. Ehrenberg and his legal team. We will use him again.

Was promised things that never happened. I was told certain things would be filed that weren't and then when asked about them was told "oh there wasn't enough time to file them" because apparently two months was not enough time. I lived on the north shore and was made to drive to the office in Metairie to pick up papers to drive to the courthouse back on the north shore to file them and still paid fees for this while having to take off of work. I was very unhappy with the services I received.

Super honest attorney! I met with attorney Bruzik to go over my options in getting custody of my two kids from my ex-wife. The other review wasn't kidding! he doesn't sugar coat ANYTHING! He said that there'd be problems with my case, but he saw a way that might work. He was right. I didn't get everything I wanted, but close! and I got the kids!

Multiple arrest child endangerment shoplifting records go on multiple phone calls to her and her office never called back. Then one day she said sign the papers ur divorce is final. Spent $4500 on a contempt case, provided all my work, income, living arrangements, etc in a timely manner. Had court dates set and continued over 5 times. Finally went in front a judge and she didn’t even know my employer or occupation which was my ex’s chief complaint. Totally not prepared to represent me and nothing was resolved. Wasted $4500!

I called for a consultation. After I explained what happened, Mr. Francis immediately said I needed to also sue the business where I fell, not just the Third Party Administrator who "did me wrong." It was the BUSINESS that didn't maintain a safe shopping environment! It was the BUSINESS that caused my injuries! It was the BUSINESS that decided if I was reimbursed or not! It was the BUSINESS that had the power! So, I took his advice and filed on both parties and know it was the correct action. I've prayed continuously throughout the past two years and thank God for directing me to the right people for guidance!

I would not recommend this man to my worst enemy. Extremely Rude, classless. He did not argue the facts of my claim. He is not honest. His only interest was himself and what he would get from my claim. Robert Callus was so rude and offensive that I am reporting him to the Louisiana Bar Association.

Worst lawyer in Metairie I don't recommend he's nothing but an accident chaser and really don't know much about law. Hired him because he was recommended by a friend when we went to court he didn't bring the paperwork he just looked at his phone the whole time. I signed the paper work for a divorce he filed it with the court a month later he doesn't have a team that will work with you it's a one man show he even hit on my ex wife in the hallway. If you need a lawyer he's not your guy try a public defender straight out of school

I hired Brett to handle my fiancee's custody case. He was a complete disaster in and outside the court. He was ill prepared for court and got destroyed by the deputy commissioner. He kept telling us no matter what happens we will be before the judge in a week. After we lost custody of our daughter to her father we paid him even more money to handle the appeal. He took the money and filed a half ass appeal. He then proceeded to say he was to busy and could not handle our case forcing me to find a new lawyer. To top it all off his files were incomplete and it cost me 3500 to have my new lawyer complete the file. I only wish I could give him less than one stat.

This attorney was totally useless. Took 2 years to get my case settled , only to have the same outcome if it was handled immediately. He is rude and sarcastic at times. He does return calls is the only good thing I can say. Finally , the day I had to go to court, he sent a fill in attorney WITHOUT notifying me. I found out seconds before appearing before the judge that I had a replacement attorney who I never met before. Very uncomfortable. Same outcome with or without attorney. He also laughed when I told him my license was suspended and I didn’t realize since no one informed me. He needs to retire. .

Worker's compensation stop sending me my check. I used my credit card for some things I needed, thinking my check would come in. When I contacted the attorney about it, he said he about worker's compensation stopping the check weeks before it, and said he guess he could have told me, but he was too busy, with other cases. Then he told me we did a lot of work on your case, and it's worth noting, we won't get paid for it. Does not keep me updated on my case. I definitely would not recommend this attorney.

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.
  8. Do you have references from past clients?
Testimonials or references can provide insight into the lawyer's professionalism and effectiveness.
  9. What are the strengths and weaknesses of my case?
Understanding potential challenges helps you prepare and sets realistic expectations.
  10. Are there alternative ways to solve my legal problem?
Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
