This Law office was very professional and the legal assistants were friendly and caring of my issues. After meeting Mr. Sixto, he explained everything to me clearly and developed a strategy to help save my home from foreclosure. in less than a year, I had a modified mortgage and kept my home for my family that I can now afford to pay. Thanks Sixto and Associates for all your help and positive results. My Family and I appreciate it greatly.

Hello!, I give Alejandro Sixto 10 stars. I hired Alejandro Sixto for my foreclosure case and he got the case dismissed. I was told that when you have a Lis Pendins it's very hard to have the case thrown out but he did it. He is a very very aggressive attorney. If you want a knowledgeable, aggressive, and honest attorney you have found him.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Attorney Enriquez explained my best options in terms that I was able to understand, not legal mumbo-jumbo. He was very reasonable. I have recommended him to other family and friends and they have all been pleased.

I hired Carlos Enriquez to represent me in my father’s estate. The hospital sued to get their bill paid and asked the judge for an absurd amount. Mr. Enríquez got the hospital lawsuit canceled. We did not have to pay the hospital bill. He was very professional and I only had to go to court once. He took care of everything.

He was the worst lawyer ever! Took him almost 2 years to finish a probate case. He's never in his office and never returns phone calls. He's also never available for you so you can only speak to his secretaries which are super rude esp his main assistant Martha. She never delivered messages and use foul language to his customers. Save your money and time don't work with him.

I went to see Mr. Cobiella in June/July 2014 for a probate/guardianship case. I decided to hire Mr. Cobiella because of the care, empathy and outlook he had in our case along with his friendly bedside manners along with his right hand at the time, his assistant who was a very professional and competent paralegal. His paralegal always took my calls to speak with me and help me. If she didn't have an answer at the time because she needed to ask Mr. Cobiella, she would either email or return my call with an answer the same day. Honestly, it was a dynamic team and it felt good that I had made the right decision. After his paralegal left for law school, unfortunately, that is when the problems started. Communication is poor, and as of today, July 20, 2015, I am still waiting for a final pleading, which normally is shortly after the Order is signed by the judge. The judge signed this Order on November 4, 2014 and yes, it's been over 8 months that I am waiting for that one (1) document. No one likes to feel brushed off or ignored, especially when you are paying for services. No client should feel this badly.

Attorney Rodriguez Basulto took thousands of dollars of my money and then dropped me without reason the day before my final hearing. She is a terrible, terrible attorney who is only interested in herself. If I could give her zero stars I would, but it made me select at least one star before I could write this review. Do not hire her.

This firm will take your money and not do their job according to their promises. When you call to inquire about your case, they will get very nasty on the phone. I had strange feeling about them from the get go but since I was referred by another lawyer with good reputation who assured me that I would be in good hands, I went with them. I am regretting this decision and after 3 months, my divorce is still not finalized. And somehow they seem to forget about your case then tell you there are too many other cases for them to handle to keep up with each clients. Once this lawyer gets her money, forget about hearing from her.

she is excellent as a criminal defense attorney. My ex-wife thought she was going to get away with her injunction of putting a restraining order indefinitely, in order to make it difficult to ever see my kids. This lawyer is a gladiator in a suit!!!she didn't let the defense attorney get two words in, hitting her with the law and facts, (defense lawyer dropped her client (my ex wife) the next day)... Acosta was very prepared! very recommended

Extremely unprofessional and not knowledgeable, a paralegal contacted me through another person on seen of the accident, I informed I did not have an active insurance policy at the time however the other person was at fault and received the ticket. She informed me this would not be an issue and proceeded to meet with me have me sign paper work and start services at a clinic, then i received a call from the attorney stating he would drop my case due to not making much funds off the case. The other person insurance the one at fault has liability, bodily, full coverage etc. I called other firms and in the end had 3 other firms wanting my case. On to better the new law firm has great reviews and I didn't check theirs prior to signing up. Please do your homework and find a law firm that is professional and fully knowledgeable on the law as this one is not

First off! As of July 2, 2019, I stated working with this lawyer as well as the law firm is extremely unprofessional. First thing reaching him, or anyone that is related to your case is impossible, I emailed, called, a number of times and was not able to get a response back until I threaten to drop him as my attorney. He only called me after I had to put a hold on the physical therapy treatment because the rehab center turned me away a number of times due to my blood pressure being high. They also did nothing to explain what I was to expect during the case, I have an Examination Under Oath (EUO) Notice scheduled and they email me to inform me of the date only 3 days away not knowing what it was or had time to prepare for it. Not only that he promised that I would not get dropped from my car insurance and I got dropped from my car insurance by the end of the month. The biggest thing about it this situation is an open and shut case. It was the other driver fault, hit me from the back at a traffic light while texting and driving. If I can give me zero stars, it will still be too much. I am also going to contact the ACAP because after dropping me he told me I was not allowed to come to his office, and he ignored me when I asked for my case files. If anyone is thinking about doing business with the firm, I recommend finding someone else because this lawyer is not worth the trouble. It makes more time to respond to negative review than he has answer questions about your case.

I hired this lawyer in 2008 for him to help me acquire a modification for my home that had entered in foreclosure the same year. He started doing his job as a lawyer but after the years passed and nothing had been settled we started asking him questions on how the process was going. He would always tell us that the case had been won and that there was nothing to worry about. He is very disrespectful and rude. He didn't show up to the final hearing of the home. Long story short I lost my home, and the lawyer didnt even know the house had been sold until I went to claim in his office. He had no valid excuse to give me.

Silvia 4 clients that are in Miami dade corrections facilities. Since 2015 she has had an opportunity to present her case on my behalf. She has reset every court meeting I have ever had. She always tells the judge she needs more time to prepare. This is because her and her team have not met with prosecutors to have the litigation package put together. My co-defendant has already been sentenced and I been waiting 5 years to hear the outcome of my case. Silvia has an investigator that reached out to my family and spoke to them about my adolescence. This is to help out my case. I’ve also spoke to psychologist to see if I was going through some type of mental struggle. I’m now in year 5 and I have no clue when I will be resentenced of a crime I did as a minor. I am writing this review to let you if you have an opportunity for Silvia Gonzalez to represent you do not take it. Silvia will leave you sitting in jail!

Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.

  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.

Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
