I hired Drewes Law for a family to family, as-is real estate transaction so therefore a much more expensive realtor was not needed. I hired them based on the other great Google reviews and it was a great decision!
They explained the process in detail and answered all of my questions up front, then got going on the process while always keeping me in the loop. We were working through a family member who was Attorney-in-fact/Power of Attorney for my grandmother, which slightly complicated things in my opinion but it was never an issue for the Drewes team.
Toward the end there was an issue with the county rejecting some filings, to which Drewes Law reached out to me immediately to let me know, but also let me know they re-reviewed everything and told me they were confident there was no reason for the rejection. They called my county the next business day to which the county recognized the mistake and that it indeed should not have been rejected (mistake due to being down workers/having new workers due to Covid). The County immediately approved and I was sent the Deed a few days later. Excellent work and thoroughness by the Drewes Law Team!
David, Annie and Jonathan were fantastic to work with and I would recommend them to anyone needing Real Estate law representation.

I hired Howard after a one on one consult to represent me in a age discrimination/unlawful firing complaint against an employer. Michael has been an invaluable resource. First and foremost, he helped us craft a comprehensive client services agreement and flexible contractor agreement. These documents were designed such that they can easily be reprocessed for different use-cases. Because our company is smaller, this works great! Unlike the previous firm we were with, Rubric Legal (and Mike) takes a much more holistic approach to the law. Their billing subscription also provides us the flexibility we need. This isn't something we've found everywhere, but it's a deal breaker for us. We've really enjoyed working with Mike.

I spoke with Mr. Schenk for an initial consultation. He requested documents to be able to provide a fee estimate, which I sent 2 days later. Then I didn't hear back from him for over 2 weeks. After a week and a half, I sent him an initial email to touch base without a response by him. I left him a total of 2 voicemails and sent 2 e-mails over the next week requesting just confirmation that he received the documents and that they didn't end up with someone else. My final attempt/2nd email is the one that finally got a response stating that he is too busy right now. Despite me stating at the consultation that I finally had saved up enough money to afford an attorney and my life was hung up due to my issue, he now states he wouldn't be able to even start to help me for several months. He is unable to effectively communicate expectations, unable to communicate much at all, and is completely unprofessional. He wasted my time and caused me great distress being effectively ghosted by an attorney. I did not deserve to be treated like he has treated me.

Dear Reader,
Choosing a lawyer in a divorce is a difficult decision, the outcome of my divorce effected 1) the custody of my two kids, and 2) my financial well being once the dust settles. Most lawyers I interviewed wanted a retainer "NOW!" I went into Lisa's office and I was an absolute mess, being on the side of not wanting a divorce but being forced to file for divorce was the most wretched thing I have ever had to do. I cried my eyes out in her office and explained what was going on, I honest to god was treated like a human and not a dollar sign. Lisa treated me as a friend and heard me out, keeping things very professional reminding me to take some of the unnecessary emotion out of the equation that could effect the outcome. How you handle yourself during this time is crucial in divorce, especially when your family custody and financial well being is on the line.
In my divorce things started out civilly with my now Ex wife, then once money, and her "rich" aunt got involved the claws came out... Lisa was very attentive to the other lawyers antics and she had some excellent alternatives which I never considered when breaking things down and trying to ultimately compromise. They are not in the game of checkers, it is a game of chess.
We ended up going to mediation and the mediator "Dolan Mediation" that's where Lisa found alternatives to me having to give my pension away, the mediator realizing that my medial benefit premiums were not my income (Difference of me paying 400 a month in spousal support vs 0) offering to pay for my children's hockey as a bargaining chip. I got 50/50 custody of my children (wish I had them 100% however I want what's best for the kids).
We have all heard "You get what you pay for" and it holds true with Lisa, she is a very fair priced attorney. I have heard of people going with the cheapest lawyer the find and at the end of the day my children, finances were worth the insurance of having a experienced lawyer who is going to give you the best possible result.
Nobody wins in divorce, its not a glamourous thing, nobody goes into marriage with the person they love the most looking to get divorced. Life happens and sometimes you are dealt a bad hand. The last year has been the worst year of my life times a million. I have started to rebuild and life has gotten substantially better.
After compromising the financials, I didn't have extra money as most people don't after divorce. Lisa worked with me and gave me options of a payment plan as well as waiting until I refinance my house so that I could pay off most of my debts.
I wrote this review because Lisa Elliot did a great job and the outcome that was most important to me came to fruition. That being said during the worst time of my life, I had someone who worked very hard for me and treated me with compassion and looked out for the best interest for my children and myself. I also want to let people who are faced divorce: With time you do heal, things get better. My best friend gave me a saying that helped me out and it is "The sun will rise tomorrow" meaning no matter what sh** you have faced and no matter how bad things get, the sun will rise tomorrow. Pray about it, make good decisions (don't bury yourself in the bottle), and try to take the high road... You will never regret taking the high road, things come back around on their own to people who lie, cheat, and are dishonest. I hope this review helps, I am sorry for what you're going through, remember "The sun will rise tomorrow"

Even though I did not hire him, he didn't come out as though I wasted his time but rather directed me to what to do next. He will listen, take your case and has good work ethics. I was introduced to Leo Epee thru a friends that know someone who knew this lawyer. What I personally like about this lawyer is that, he's very articulate, he worked with me honestly by providing all necessary information that I needed to know. He's flexible in schedule, meet with clients on regular bases even after his office hours. Leo priortized my case first and everything else came second. Even though I wasn't able to pay all his fees in one lump sum, he still took strong interest in my case and devoted his time to fight for what we both believed is right under the constitution.

Her brief had errors within the first page and lacked key point. I lost my appeal and now she doesn't email me back or make good with her word regarding last visit with my son.
