I paid Mr Moore, who is a family law attorney $ 150 for 30 minutes of his time. I’m a senior who is legally blind and now has hearing impaired begging for legal help . My last attorney took $ 7,000 and I never got my legal separation papers. Mr Moore just couldn’t help me and told me what ‘I’ needed to. I must be from another planet because I had told him I don’t drive anymore and have no one to HELP me. Otherwise if I had thousands of dollars then Moore would help .

Thomas & Webber are by far one of the finest closing attorneys anyone could ask for. We were assigned a new closing agent, Kristen and she did an amazing job. She was on top of this complex transaction involving a concurrent closing From Mooresville to Blowing Rock, even making sure the funds were wired by end of closing day, therefor with our truck loaded we were able to get the key to the new purchase! She kept me informed on all the steps, including when the deposits and funds arrived, so important to know. I know she will be a great asset to this wonderful, law firm. This was the most unprofessional step in my buying process. If you want the definition of unprofessionalism, this is what they are. Jaime was the one involved in my process. First, if you call her for something, she is always at a meeting, then if you send an email, she will never respond, or she will respond after 2 days. In this market, time is everything when you have 30 days to close. They also made a few mistakes during the process, always playing ping pong with the lender if I asked for something. But the worst thing was the wire transfer. I called them on Thursday morning to double check the wire instructions. They confirmed and said the transfer should be in their account within a few hours. I wired the money on Thursday around 11 am, called them the same day to check if they received it, at which time they said no. I called them again Friday morning, and they again told me that they had not received anything and that Jaime would send confirmation to me once the money is in the account. I called them that same Friday around 3 pm to check again (with the next day being the weekend, then Monday being a federal holiday, everything is closed, and Thursday being my closing date) and still nothing, and they weren’t interested in trying to fix the issue or to ask the bank to locate the transfer. I called my bank to check, everything was ok, called their bank, and they said that is not my business to ask?!? I then called the T&W office again, but they didn’t want to listen to me. Finally, they agreed to call the bank to check what is wrong. In the end, they found my transfer in the pending status, and they said it was my fault because I didn’t put info and note who is sending the money. That is a lie though because I put my name in 2 different spots. Maybe I am not so important for them and they didn’t make millions in my case, but if you accept to work and received money, you at least need to do your job.

I only interacted with Ms. Webber at the closing for my home purchase. She seemed knowledable. However, Ms. Webber's staff operate as if they are herding cattle. I called the week before my closing because I wanted to make sure everything was in order. Courtney acted as if she didn't have time for me and told me that she would be sending my ALTA to my real estate agent. Apparently, they prefer not to deal with the client who signed the engagement letter and is paying them. On the day before my closing, I called Courtney to confirm my wire had been received and ask a question about my title insurance. Courtney did not respond to me. I walked into closing with my fingers crossed that the wire had been received and no answer to my question. But, my primary complaint with this firm is the lack of security. They warn about wire fraud, but send all details of closing through general email. When asked how I wanted to receive final copies of all docs, I asked for secure portal. All docs were emailed to me again by Abbi. These docs include my ssn and a complete bank acct #. Hire someone else.

I dealt with MS Nethekn some time ago over a bad debt alleged by the not so desirable client. One can wonder why the bottom of the barrel can get legal help when the poor cant...
She was honorable as she said but her client is dishonorable and did not remove the negative in 2 out of 3 reporting agencies. Of course I try to give benefit of doubt but by all means respond.

We hired Karen and found her perpetually unprepared and completely outmatched by the counterparty's attorney. They failed to submit the petition to the court in the correct county. She did not know the details of the Read to Achieve laws, even though that's exactly what we were discussing and what she said she knew and had successfully helped other families in the past on. She and her colleague appeared before a school board with hand written notes and she failed to communicate coherently to the board leading to failure. In court, at the "make or break" hearing, they were again unprepared, and failed to make even a simple argument to the court (and still had failed to withdrawal the previously noted incorrect filing from the incorrect county court). Finally after a discussion with the school I negotiated a settlement and terms, in 15 minutes, that she failed get done in the past. We spent ~$20,000 with her with few or no measurable results. I could never recommend her or her firm and I would recommend Google or simply call the NC DPI department instead yourself.

I have walked out of many attorney offices thinking I just got robbed of $150 PLUS. So I always do my research before hiring an attorney in the future or a must need now attorney. Her hourly fees are very fair. Karen does not make promises she cannot deliver, but can give you the best outcomes and the worse outcomes so you are prepared. Karen also states that someone will always get back to me one way or another and in some legal situations you have to have patience. Because it can take time. For an attorney to take the time to tell me this, is truly an honest attorney that will do her very best and make you feel like you are being taken care of. Will recommend to anyone who may need an attorney!

Divorce is not fun, and regardless if you are a man or women its difficult to cope with our emotions. My EX(soon to be) had a temp restraining order the night before I was leaving for a annual company meeting, it was planned as a strategy between her and her Atty, we had been married my second marriage for only 18 months and had started stealing large sums of money to boot. Anyway, I called a few Atty's not being from Mooresville I was lost, also being on other side of the US the day after I was given 20 minutes to grab belongings out of my home, I was not in best mental state. They were the only firm that listened to me story and accepted a small retainer sight unseen. They have stayed in touch the last year and as I move to Colorado for business they have been wonderful to finish things on my behalf. Patricia has a great team, July especially has been great. My appt. was for 4:30 pm and I was not seen until 5:20 pm. No apology for an almost hour delay was given. Communication of some sort - so that I could have chosen to reschedule - would have been nice. Apparently my time is of no value to her. I will continue looking for a lawyer who shows some semblance of caring. I felt that she would not be a strong advocate for me.
