I could not recommend this firm and this group of people any higher. Everyone we had contact with from the Secretary, the paralegals to Jeremy the lawyer who handled our case were the friendliest most accommodating group we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
Our case was a very complicated case involving automotive parts and repair. Jeremy took the time to learn every step of how the repair was done to how all the parts actually work so that he could understand exactly what was going on. He even accommodated our tough schedule with meetings after work to go over the smallest of details. When it was time for court he knew as much as the expert witness. The communication back and forth was awesome and the attention to every little detail for our preparation from Jeremy almost made court enjoyable. It definitely made the experience a lot easier to endure as there was no hidden surprises that we were not prepared for. My wife and I said that New Orleans is definitely a city that we wanted to visit. As fate would have it, her job brought her to New Orleans on a weeklong business trip and I was her plus one. I was having a really great time until I was involved in an incident where I was hit by a car while crossing at an intersection in the French Quarters. We had only been in the city for 3 days during a 7 days stay, yet, I was confined to resting in my hotel room for the remainder of the trip. I saw that there were a lot of television commercials for accident attorneys; however, when I called them to get a consultation, no one would take my case because I was from another state. That is until I contacted The Gertler Law Firm. Although I was unable to speak to anyone until the day we were flying out, they accommodated my wife and I by getting us into their office and made us feel valued and appreciated from the very first handshake. I felt their concern and earnestness was genuine and it assured us that we would be taken care of. When we left, I felt that recovering from my injuries was all that I had to worry about, The Gertler Law Firm would handle the rest. Throughout the weeks and months to follow, they kept me informed and updated on the status and progress of the matter and they were prompt and diligent when it came to addressing my medical needs and billing. I have felt that Mr. Sikich did an excellent job representing me in my DWI case about 5 years ago. After he helped me with my case, I was able to do what I needed to do to get back on my feet. Hiring of Mr. Sikich resulted in positives in regards to my court case and my case with the DMV. This man is very knowledgable and was not scared to go to trial if needed. Jeremy has been with my immigration journey to the U.S. since 2007 and also those of my colleagues. He has handled various different type of visa filings for me - TN, H1B and L1A with efficiency. His attention to detail was thorough and advise and guidance was accurate. Although mine was not a routine case, through his guidance, I was able to acquire all the required documentation, affidavits etc. prior filing my AOS application and my Green Card was approved without any RFEs.

My very first contact with Mr. Zollinger was positive. I contacted his office after business hours, to confirm the number was accurate. To my surprise, Mr. Zollinger answered the phone. The first thing that came to mind was, "It's an hour after business hours, and he is still there working on cases." this immediately made me feel like his clients were of extreme importance to him. After talking to Mr. Zollinger for a few minutes, I explained my situation and listened to his advice. He was extremely professional and courteous. I live about 5 hours away from his office. However, I decided to make the trip to New Orleans and enlist the help of his office. Best decision I could have made! Once we met with Mr. Zollinger and discussed the specifics of the process and had a clear understanding of what could happen, we felt more than confident to do business with Mr. Zolinger. After completing the tasks Mr. Zollinger set for us, it only took approximately 3-4 weeks and our case was finished with the best outcome that we could have hoped for. In the summer of 2017 I was arrested at a protest. Part of my demonstration was burning the American flag in protest of white supremacy in our government. This was an action protected by the first amendment but I was arrested anyway. The police charged me officially with improperly burning garbage, and public intoxication. I was assigned a public defender who was uninterested in the facts of the case. Kara Larson took my case and I am so grateful that she did. She not only filed the motions needed, had the courage to argue the civil rights aspect of the case even though it was a controversial and distasteful demonstration to some, but she also explained my rights to me and her strategy every step of the way. Having never been arrested before I was very intimidated by my situation but Kara Larson put me at ease and ultimately got my case dismissed. Friendly, talented, and passionate about what she is doing. 10/10 would hire again.

Attorney Green was very professional and knowledgeable about the steps we needed to take in order to win my case! I was in a car accident (not my fault) but the insurance company of the driver, (who caused the accident by making an illegal right turn from the left lane), gave me the run around. We've worked with Ms. Sherman on several projects, including negotiation and permitting, and have always found her to be communicative, reliable, and completely invested in our interests. She is extremely detail-oriented and capable of picking apart a contract better than any lawyer we've ever worked with, as we discovered when we were involved in a potentially disastrous Real Estate deal.
In our experience, Ms. Sherman's manner is approachable and empathetic when we are in conference and tough and persistent during negotiation, but she also has an innate ability to charm and bring the temperature in the room down when things get heated.
When we needed to navigate City Hall and apply for the liquor license for our restaurant, Ms. Sherman helped us to successfully navigate a complex and somewhat obtuse and frustrating process.

Ms. Farris represented me during the sale of a trademark that I owned to a foreign company.
While I consider myself relatively knowledgeable about such things, she was very helpful and I was very impressed by her knowledge of trademark law as she suggested some additional protections that I had not considered especially as it related to ICANN, the organization responsible for domain registration.
Additionally, the seller wanted to facilitate trademark transfer with the USPTO in a relatively uncommon manner but we nevertheless were able to easily facilitate the transaction and by all accounts everyone was happy.
Best of all, the fees were relatively low which was a pleasant surprise understanding that Stone Pigman is one of the biggest / best firms in New Orleans.
I would highly suggest Ms. Farris if you ever need this sort of representation as not only is she very knowledgeable and a good advocate, but also very friendly and can relate well to non-attorneys.
