My experience with Eques Law Group was terrible. Every step in the process of probating a small estate (one car one house) was misguided. The estimated/quoted cost was doubled at the final bill. My first question at our first meeting was are you familiar with Franklin Co Probate…their answer was yes. Obviously this was not correct because many times paperwork had to be completed multiple times. Costing money not only with the attorney as well as with Franklin Co Probate. Many times and even the final math on the final accounting was incorrect. I just gave up and took care of the distribution amounts myself. Many times I had to make multiple trips to sign paperwork that was incorrect when they had me come in to sign.
I should have known better after seeing the appearance of the entrance to their building. It was always filthy with leaves a debris from whatever season we were in.
Many attempts were made to contact the head office/ owners of the Eques Law Group with no response or courtesy return phone call.
My advice would be run, run, run as fast as you can to any other law group.

Started off great, then it started where she wouldn't return my calls. I wasn't getting accurate information. Told me that she'd be with me all the way through the appeals process, two weeks into it she sends me a letter of dismissal. Never got any good information and to this day I still haven't got her to tell me how much money I'm getting and she hasn't been my attorney in 3 months

Lazy work ethic and extremely poor communication skills. Incompetent and unethical. Completely negligent as an attorney, a stranger off the street with no degree or law training would have served a better fit for fighting a case.

As I watched my nephews trial today via streaming,as I live in Cleveland. Richard Smith,family already knew. As his defense attorney,I must say how impressed I was and still am at your preperation,attentiveness to your client and as I was live streaming,Sir you are a defense attorney to be reckoned with. I appreciate all you did for my nephew and as our family knew justice would prevail,As I told RJ today after the trial,I was very impressed with your courtroom experience. Let me preface this by saying there was a language barrier which made it very difficult for me to understand the person I was speaking with, I am sure she had an equally difficult time. First, I called in to ask about a consultation to see if I have a case, and possible representation. She asked what type of case, which I explained and then she asked for more information. I attempted to explain it, I could tell she was not understanding what I was trying to convey as she asked me the same question more than once. She told me they don't offer free consultations, which I was fine with but when I asked her how much she hesitated and told me she could not tell me how much a consultation would be. I was confused and asked her how would I find that out. She told me someone would call me back within 2 business days and took my number. As we said our goodbyes she said if no one called me back in 2 days no one could help me. I then confused, asked her if I should call back after the two days then if I didn't hear back. She told me no, if no one called me back it meant no one could help me. I wanted to make sure I understood her correctly and said so if no one calls me back they won't do a consultation? She said I was correct. I said so you can't give me a cost for a consultation, then you tell me if no one calls me back that means you can't help me? So without knowing the details of the case, you not understanding what I am saying and being unable to provide me a price for a consultation so an ATTORNEY could explain what rights I may or may not have, you are telling me if I don't receive a call back it means no one can help me??? I told her this was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a law firm and I have 13 years of legal background in one area or another. I told her not to worry about calling me back. This is absurd. I hope someone from the firm does read this and call me back and ask for more details (as there are plenty I am not going to share on this platform, yet) as I hope this not an accurate representation of their firms professionalism or the way they treat potential clients. He has lived at the facility in Newark happily for 18 years.Then it was sold and the new management tried to kick him out two times and harassed our family. There was no change in his level of care. He did not fit their marketing image. Bethany handled our appeal to the State. Thankfully they backed down. David Barth is a very loud and boisterous man but I do not feel he uses it to his advantage in the courtroom. I did hire him for a family law case and what happened was exactly what he said he expected but did not seem to try and turn it another direction. He is very willing to give you information and educate you as much as he can on whats happening and why. He is quite a character but just falls short on the courtroom followthrough. If you need a hard fighter for you on a big case, don't hire him but if you want knowledge and a lawyer with you on a fairly average simple and easy case then by all means, hire him!! His retainer is reasonable and so is his hourly rate.

She does not return calls, emails, or text, until you become so upset and allege misconduct. If it requires her to actually do any work forget it. I provided multiple documents that were never admitted or discussed. Lied and said I did not keep contact with her, never informed me of a court date causing me miss. I was working and still never contacted me to see where I was or why I wasn’t there. Never touched base day before. Stated she was going to file a motion and to provide the info she needed I did just that and never any motion. She never fought for at all. Very poor ethics if you ask me. Avoid at all costs.

I was a sixty yr. old motor carrier, engaged in commerce in Newark.
I have a service animal, a service dog. I have a disorder. I was walking my service dog, along a tree line, in the dark, in december winter. I was approached by two men, one young looking, one older. The young man, now recognized as the janitor of a truckstop, told me,, i needed to move my truck, as it had the other fellows trailer blocked. I responded, sure, i would be happy to, soon as my dog is done, i am leaving. The foriegn accented truck driver, sad no, and insisted i move it now, forget about the dog, while grabbing hold on my coat sleeve. I pulled away, tring to focus on my dog, ans continue to my truck. The man grabbed me a second time. I forcfully replied, please dont touch me again. The janitor the whoke time stsying behind the truck driver asssulting me. The third time he grabbed me, I shoved him, he fell back on the janitor, i grabbed my dog and scurried for my truck. The man followed me, the kid ran off yelling he was calling the police. The truck driver parked his truck behind mine, so i could not leave. In 20 minutes, 3 police cars surrounded my truck. One officer came to my door, told me to get out, placed me in cuffs. i asked if i was being arrested, the officer replied, shut up and pray. I was searched, thrown in the back of his car. They brought a k-9 unit, and searched my truck, then took me to jail. No opportunity to speak in my defense. Shut up and pray Deputy Pennington said. I spent two days in jail, i had my bank card scammed by the jailer on duty and a regular inmate in there. I finally made bail, im from another state, had to get it from there, my bank shut my accts down, due to the card scamm, by the jailer and accomplice. Now it gets real intersting. I went it court, representing myself, with the whole truth under oath! And tadahhh!!! In struts, the infamous, Ms. Moore. and the show began, made a very scared little boy with a case worker in court with him, of the janitor kid,, against a big bad, long haired, renegade, trouble making, truck driver. Ohhh, scary... Me, a sixty year old disabled man!
So, she coersed the deputy to lie, she made the janitor's lie, somehow invisible, she twisted my testiminy into a lie, i couldnt compete with her expertice, i am a motor carrier telling the truth, not a high profile prossecutor lije Ms. Moore. So, i lost, Judge Micheal J Higgins, called me a liar on the stand, sentenced me to 10 days in jail. All perfectly orchestrated by Ms. Moore, to make some kind, of selfish statement, for herself, and or against truck drivers.. Now, i am from another state, and i never experienced justice anywhere, like it is percieved, in Licking County Ohio.

Did not hire this attorney, state picked up charges. After meeting with him, he only cares about his own opinions, not that of the "victim" Carries his own personal beliefs into a case instead of what is the best outcome. Will never trust the Licking County Justice system again!!!!!
