Throughout a long, drawn out case, Courtney has been great. She dealt with the insurance carrier and one of the largest international corporations ably and deftly including last minute demands from the company for which she extracted additional compensation. Excellent advice at every turn. When we finally settled, she obtained for me a larger settlement than I had expected. Easy to work with and talk to, but a real pit bull for you when needed. She will not gouge on the fees either. I would recommend her to anyone and will be hiring her again soon for another matter I am dealing with.

I met Mr. Fennell when I was searching for an attorney for a bailment case that exceeded $250,000. I had just fired my attorney for not understanding the case. I interviewed 3 other attorneys and was impressed immensely by Mr. Fennell's intelligence and directness when discussing the case. Most importantly he included me in the case strategy and management and not once did he talk down to me or not include me in important decisions and factors about costs. After a 7-day jury trial, Mr. Fennell landed a jury verdict awarding in excess of $300,000. Defendant appealed and Mr. Fennell won again at appeal. I am happy to report that not only did his firm secure the victory in court, they also collected every dollar with interest for me.
I have used Mr. Fennell's firm for Matrimony, Family Court, Estate Planning, and Commerical Litigation.
I have been extremely happy with every matter I have handed him and have always found his billings to be reasonable and fair.

Conners is very smart, ethical and compassionate. Rates are fair. I used Mr. Conners for buying a home in Scriba, a business solution, and he will be helping me with my will.
I had an unusual question about real estate taxes and he was upfront that he did not know the answer. He directed me elsewhere to get the answer I needed.
He has an excellent assistant who has been working with him a long time. She is very professional. An added plus is that his office is in back of the courthouse.

Very slow on getting back to the family with communications, information, and mailings. She was knowledgeable, but it was frustrating in that my family always had to repeatedly make contact with her about things that were supposed to be done in a certain time frame, but weren't.

I hired Rodak to represent me in my divorce. He wasn't prepared at all the day of trial,told me I was bitter and made deals with other attorneys without consulting me. During the trial there were times my children's law guardian would object on behalf of her clients mother, while Rodick said nothing! Because of him and his incompetence I received nothing I should had. I was violently ill after this trial and how badly he handled it. Years later my kids and I are still dealing with the reprocussions of his incompetence. Spend your money elsewhere

I retained Joe for some trouble I had gotten into. A few bad decisions and 3 Felony Indictments later, I found myself in a world of trouble. Beginning at the arraignment Joe was was cool, calm and collective. He was aggressive enough to make his point, but not cocky where he screwed my chances. Joe was nothing short of a pit-bull fighting for me, and he certainly didn't let the DA back us into a corner.

I hired mr fix back in may to do my bankruptcy as he had handled my family court case. So I met with him and paid him $1500 up front as per his request. He gave me the list of things I needed and so I got all those things plus the first credit course certificate that I also sent to him. After that I went in a second time to sign the paperwork that was in June. Since then, I’ve had to call the bankruptcy court only to find out that my bankruptcy was never filed. And whenever I tried calling the office I could never get ahold of anyone because they don’t allow you to leave any messages for them to call you back. So this lawyer basically took my money but never filed my bankruptcy. Then come to find out, he’s been involved with the grievance committee from back in 2003 until present. So I wouldn’t recommend him at all. Especially if he just keeps violating professional codes of conduct within the legal system.

Our initial consultation was very positive and we immediately retained Amanda. However, after retaining, there was no response from Amanda nor the secretary for a month. The voicemail was always full as. Strangely the secretary lives out of state. After a month, they scheduled us a week later and we just couldn’t wait anymore. We lost a lot of time and needed immediate assistance. We finally went to the law office where all doors were locked, we knocked on the door for several minutes when Amanda finally answered it. Amanda is very sweet and nice, and we got back our entire retainment fee. We are very grateful for that. However, with the lack of communication our custody battle has now been prolonged even further.

Completely inept. Failed to do anything - lazy, did not read correspondence, dropped the ball on an airtight case. Unprofessional and unprepared. Sold out to stay in judge's good graces instead of helping clients. His inaction, apathy, and greed has caused grave consequences, altered lives, and hurt many people. He owes society a debt. Absolutely disgusting outcome with this attorney. She wouldn’t answer phone calls and call back after numerous messages. I paid her firm $25k to handle a felony case which I got dismissed after I fired this woman and hired new counsel. I suggest this attorney works at the drive thru at McDonald’s. She may be able to do her job better.

If there was a spot for 0 stars that would be most appropriate. I believe this attorney to be the absolute worst ever. He did not return phone calls or emails. He did not show up for court twice, without notifying us. We had to reschedule and drive to Oswego from out of town. We paid him a substantial amount of money. He is despicable and his conduct is exactly what gives attorneys a poor reputation. Don't hire him ever. Get a reputable attorney from the Syracuse area.

Mr Kirwan was the court appointed law guardian of my granddaughter ... he did a good job ... neither of the parties involved had an attorney as we were in agreement of the custody so the judge asked Mr Kirwan to draw up the custody order ... now, 30 days later, I still don't have the custody order even though I have called requesting it ... I understand he is busy but this is silly :(

Six months ago I hired Tim to handle a real estate transaction, simple I thought, I have sold a few properties before so I thought it would go like all the others. There were some factors out of his control, because the purchaser was a corporation, but once the ball was put into his court, he seemed to ignore it. He was given 45 days according to the terms of our sale contract agreement to do a title search, land survey, and whatever else is done with these transactions. 15 days in we receive a letter from him asking us to locate the abstracts, deed, and original land survey, which we did promptly. The sale contract agreement expires in three days, and he's not sure if the sale will close in time. Tim never once returned a phone call to us, and would only communicate through emails, which he rarely responded to mine unless i expressed I was getting angry. If this deal falls through because of his neglect, I will be screwed.

I had this guy as an attorney on a " nuisance complaint turned eviction illegally" this guy did not do his job at all in any sense of the word he failed to show the judge evidence that I was in fact owner in part of the house I was staying at the deal he allowed to be set up cost me my right to sue for ownership rights and only gave me 3 months to stay at my home in which time the landlord my ex broken destroyed the electrical panel and left the house without power he failed to attach evidence and request relief for the motion to abate judgment he didn't advocate for me at all I had to do most of the work I had to defend myself I had to do all of the research and I'm a nurse not a lawyer this guy should not have a right to practice law he forgot court dates my name facts about the case on a constant basis windchill truth of facts that the deal had been broken he didn't see to it that it was handled properly and one showing proof that the allegations of rent owed were in fact fraud due to it being FHA mortgage fraud he didn't bring that to the judges attention either this guy was so unprofessional I can't even begin to put a word to it and it cost me my home and made me homeless do not use legal services of mid western ny or him

We retained Miss Shanley to represent us and our children for a family court matter. She was supposed to meet us a half hour before the court appearance. She was 25 minutes late to the meeting and instead of keeping her set meeting she decided to instead go and have a talk with the other party's attorney behind closed doors. After that meeting she made no effort to represent my interests. When my husband confronted her about representing US and not the other party she walked out as my attorney. I would NOT refer anyone to her law practice due to her lack of effort to represent myself and my children.

Would never recommend this attorney. Called on April 6th 2021 for a consultation all of a 3 minute phone call agreed to hire her. She told us she would send out a retainer to sign, waited 3 weeks didn't recieve called back she said it was mailed and would resend another waited a week drove to her business in oswego note on door read to call due to covid we called right from her driveway only to be told by the person who answered that they would get one wrote up and call for us to come in and sign, 3 weeks later still nothing. Now over 2 months we have not heard from her although she was quick to take our 100.00 dollar fee for a 3 minute consultation call.
