I honestly was so worried buying a lawyer, wondering if it was even going to be worth it. I remember when I was first talking to my lawyer (Josh Zarse), he said my body cam footage was really bad, but he was going to do his best to get rid of the worst of the 3 charges. I was so scared of how it would turn out. When I had my first in person court date, he told me got them to drop the worst charge AND an additional charge!!! Things went better than I could have hoped I'm my wildest dreams- totally saved my life, literally. Worth every bit of the money I spent to know I have future prospects because he was able to get these charges dropped. I am forever grateful- it took everything in me not to bear hug him! THANK YOU!

Travelling from a recreational state to Kansas and was stopped by the police(racial profiling) and had a good amount of edibles and marijuana for personal use. Was detained and received a number from an attorney from one of the staff who worked at the compound where my vehicle was towed who was charging 3X the amount of what I paid for so my wife decided to get online and find an attorney and she found Attorney Leininger and his resume is impeccable. I was stressing so much as I do not live in that state and was facing jail time and was in jeopardy of losing employment. After speaking with him, I was able to set up a payment plan and his assistant Katie is amazing. I was late one time and was able to continue to receive services. I didn't feel the need to worry or really call as my much because my wife wanted me to check in almost every week and there was no need to because that's how much I had faith in him due to the emails and conversations I would have with him and sure enough, when it was time to go to court, all I had to do was zoom in and the outcome was to pay a probation cost and complete a substance abuse evaluation and THAT'S IT.....NOTHING ELSE. He's the truth and this is not my first rodeo unfortunately dealing with this system. Kudos to my wife for finding him and kudos to the whole staff and if he ever reads this, THANK YOU AGAIN.

I was stopped for a DUI in that state of Missouri in the summer of 2018. I live in Kansas so I was not aware of the process of living in another state while in trouble in another. I was placed under arrest and went to jail. After I was released I found attorney Paul Burmaster through a ton of research on finding the best lawyer for my case. After meeting with him I knew this was the man to represent me and my case. Im glad I did. I had 2 court hearings to overcome and try and win my case. The first was the circuit court for keeping my drivers license. Long story short...We won by a judges ruling and I was able to keep my license and not go on any record or take a insurance hit. The 2nd court hearing I had to attend was for the criminal side of it with the KCMO Municipal Court. Prior to this Paul had came up with the best plan to represent and fight my case before going into the court room. I was always aware and kept in contact at all times of these hearings so I was fully aware of what was going on at all times. The day of the court hearing with the judge, prosecutor, and two police officers I knew what was going on during my trial keeping me in more of a calm state of mind knowing I had a good fighting chance to win. This helped me keep focused and my stress low at a time like this. During this trial I observed Paul being very organized and two steps ahead of everyone in the court room. With his knowledge and aggressive skill set we were able to win my case and was dismissed. I was very pleased with the outcome and would recommend this attorney to anyone. He will stand up for you and your rights to deliver the best outcome of any case that is brought to him. Thanks Again.

I hired Paul to help me with a DUI charge that I faced in Kansas. From the beginning, I knew I was in good hands. He was thorough, persistent with communication, and able to defend me to the greatest degree when the time came to do so. I was pulled over for speeding (most likely legit), and ultimately arrested for DUI as well. After meeting with the prosecutor a couple times through the court process and reviewing Paul's motions, evidence, etc. the prosecutor dismissed the DUI charge. Paul was also able to get the speeding ticket dismissed via a paid dismissal, and both charges expunged as well (since the case linked both charges, the DUI could only be expunged immediately if both were, so the prosecutor agreed to expunge the whole case). Paul was very knowledgeable, aggressive, and the final outcome was the best possible outcome. Highly recommend.

Jay Norton is the best attorney money can buy in Kansas City to defend you in your DUI - DWI case. I literally called 6 attorneys in the area based off of online reviews and 4 of the 6 recommended Jay - one even went as far as to say that they would hire Jay if they had a DUI - and this is someone that defends people in DUI cases themselves! Regardless of your arrest circumstances, his intimate knowledge of the law and supporting literature around DUI cases is second to none. He wrote the book of defending DUI cases in KC. In my case, Jay was able to systematically argue that there was a definite lack of probable cause for my arrest even though I blew a BAC over the legal limit. Essentially, the officer had no right to place me under arrest given I had arguably "passed" the field sobriety tests. Any case is hard to win against the state, but Jay made it nearly impossible to convict me given the facts he argued so well on my behalf. Jay won the arguments against the state and the case was dismissed! DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON YOUR ATTORNEY. HIRE JAY AND YOU WILL NEVER FEEL UNDER-REPRESENTED.

I would like to state that if you need a lawyer Rick Morefield is the way to go. He worked with my family in the loss of my daughter. He was so compassionate and understanding and such a very hard worker.
Our case lasted over 7 years due to covid and he did not once give up on us even though he was not getting paid for all of the work that he was putting in for us. He came up with all kinds of strategies to win our case.
Rick took time to explain legal terms with us and made us aware of what he was doing and how he planned to win our case. I was very impressed on how knowledgeable he was about the law.

There is so much that I can say about Rick and his team but nothing would express my gratitude level towards them. Rick is so caring and intelligent. I was facing some very rough and tough circumstances. My parents left an inheritance and my siblings didn’t want me to have my fair share, in fact they didn’t want me to have a dime. Keenan let them know he was representing me and I would not be taken advantage of. Within a month of closing an irrevocable trust, I had money in the bank and am debt free. Ron provides honest feed back & isn't afraid of challenging you on points that you state that may not be legitimate in court. Ron believes in what is best for the minor children and gets results based on this alone. He was able to get the parenting plan I proposed which my ex was against and not in the best interest of the children. I would hire Ron again if I needed him and I have referred him and he got excellent results for my friend, again with the children's best interests in mind.
