The worst experience. As a Military Veteran, and minority, I would never recommend in the least to ever do business here to any of my comrades, family, friends or anyone. Even against my better judgement, trusted the realtor assisting me, to recommend him. WORST decision, just because someone takes your money for the business does not mean they have your best interest!! The receptionist/paralegal extremely dismissive. Mr. Dorgan, representing me, barely ever spoke to me, completely aggressively went off on me & company rep working with me in the company’s Recorded Line sir. He did NOT go over the closing information, let alone have the decency to come across the hallway to the title company to finish the closing information. Event the title company staff is as surprised about the lack of communication, which Mr. Dorgan’s office When approached to speak to him, not his paralegal/receptionist, turned it on me, as if I had not done all that was requested of me, even though I complied in a timely manner. Title company staff was extremely polite & were even confused at attorneys lack of representation & worked with me throughout. Assess more than a dozen times before even considering this office.

Incredible group of attorneys, paralegals and administrative staff that treat you like a person and not just a number. They truly care about your health and will provide you with incredible representation for the largest possible recovery. I would recommended them to my mother, father, brothers, friends, colleges and barber (if I had one). Do the right thing and give them a call!

My experience with attorney Romano was the best ever. He guided our family through some extremely challenging times during our Mom’s situation. He was always available, kind, considerate and professional. You would be hard pressed to find a better guy. Our family plans to work with him again; he was a God send.

We were referred to A&R by our real estate attorney because we needed elder care expertise. It was the best referral and decision we made to engage their services. Reasonable, friendly, thorough and "on point." My father is gone now, but the paperwork A&R put into place really helped expedite things for me as the only child, caretaker and heir.

My father who recently passed used corporate turnaround to save our family business. He always had good things to say about the company. I took over the business in 2022 and everything my father said was true about them. Jared has been a great help in finishing up our case. Thanks for saving a small family business

I luckily came across Corporate Turnaround in a Google search when I was desperately trying to deal with mounting debt for my business. I had taken loans from nefarious entities that promised quick funding for your business. I won't say their names here. All I know that I was around the corner from bankruptcy when I came across Corporate Turnaround in a desperate search for "how to consolidate my business debt". I sent an email and was contacted back quickly. The process was simple. I gave Corporate Turnaround all of the names of the companies I had loans from. They contacted them for me and set up a weekly payment schedule. When Covid occurred, they even worked to suspend payments temporarily. All I know is that from my first contact with them in 9/2019 until my over $120,000 in debt was paid off in February 2024, I had never had any issues. Jared is amazing. If I had questions he emailed back within an hour most times. They are very understandable people. If I asked to have one weeks payment postponed, they could accomodate that request. If there are negative reviews, then those are probably from companies, like the merchant cash advance companies, that don't like that Corporate Turnaround is actually helping desperate business owners that have fallen on hard times. Corporate Turnaround truly saved my business. Do not hesitate to use them. You will never regret it. Truly, you will not. If I could give them 10 stars I would, no lie.

Title: Unveiling Deceptive Financial Practices: My Struggle with Unfair Treatment In the intricate world of finance, trust is paramount. Unfortunately, my encounter with a certain company has been marked by betrayal, financial strain, and a sense of helplessness. My story serves as a testament to the insidious tactics employed by this company, urging for change to protect others from similar injustices. It all began with a glimmer of hope—a company offering financial management services that seemed like a solution to my mounting debts and financial woes. Trusting their promises, I handed over my hard-earned money, hoping for assistance in navigating through my financial challenges. However, what followed was a series of unsettling events that shattered my trust and left me grappling with the consequences. The first indication of trouble surfaced when I noticed that my payments to creditors were not being processed in a timely manner. It became increasingly apparent that this was not an oversight but a deliberate ploy to withhold my money and push me into default. This tactic seemed designed to create a scenario where I would be coerced into paying even more to avoid financial ruin—a cycle of manipulation that left me feeling vulnerable and exploited. Adding to my frustration was the company's evasive communication tactics. Instead of addressing my concerns directly, I found myself navigating through impersonal emails and receiving calls from unfamiliar voices. One moment, I would be corresponding with Jared, supposedly assigned to my account, and the next, an unfamiliar voice named Dave would be on the other end of the line. This inconsistency only served to deepen my distrust and skepticism towards their operations. The reviews I encountered online further validated my suspicions. Many of the glowing testimonials appeared to be fabricated, likely written by employees or affiliates of the company. These false narratives painted an inaccurate picture of the company's services, masking the reality of its exploitative practices. It became increasingly evident that it was essential to reach out to real clients who had experienced similar mistreatment firsthand. Recently, I received an email demanding a payment of $400 a month, an amount I was already diligently paying. This sudden demand, coupled with the frequent changes in personnel handling my account, only added to my frustration and confusion. It became clear that something was amiss, and I resolved not to be a victim any longer. The detrimental impact of the company's deceitful practices extended beyond mere financial strain. It took a toll on my mental and emotional well-being, leaving me feeling helpless and trapped in a cycle of uncertainty. Despite their assurances of working towards a resolution, I harbored little faith in their intentions. Their actions spoke louder than words, revealing a blatant disregard for my financial welfare. What I seek is not extravagant—a simple resolution where the payments I've made are utilized as intended, to pay off my debts. It is unacceptable that they continue to withhold my funds while neglecting their obligations to creditors. Despite their claims that they are no longer profiting from my situation, their actions suggest otherwise. It is imperative to expose the dark underbelly of this company's practices and hold them accountable for their exploitation of vulnerable consumers. Their false advertising and empty promises must be unveiled, and I am determined to be a catalyst for change. My fervent desire is to put an end to their deceptive tactics and prevent others from falling prey to their schemes. It is time to demand justice for the countless individuals who have been misled and mistreated. Together, we can advocate for transparency and integrity in the financial services industry and ensure that companies are held accountable for their actions.

I bought my first house this year in a short sale and used Rhonda Benjamin and her staff to handle the transaction. It was a difficult and long process, however, her firm did a great job. Her paralegal was wonderful in the time and energy she spent answering all of our questions when Ms. Benjamin wasn't around. They kept us apprised of what to expect at every step in the process. The closing went off smoothly without a hitch. I would highly recommend them.

Being a first time home buyer is tough enough. What was suppose to be a simple real estate purchase became a disaster. Even though she represented me in this case, I never has any contact from her. The phones seem to only go through the secretaries. Once I called in (but I don't think she knew) and secretary was away, the phones rolled to her. When I asked her a question about my case, before inquiring as to who I am, she put me right back through the phone menu. Only when we started to go into panic mode due to the sale falling through, did she actually speak with me. Due to her inactivity, something very dear to me was lost. Losing a property I can deal with (there's more out there), having someone YOU pay for yelling/telling YOU they don't need to do anything is unacceptable. On top of this, she stated verbal communication was good enough for a deal to go through. Since when would a LAWYER take something verbal over something written? It truly baffles me. And to think I chose her because she was listed as having real estate as being her specialty.

When I sold my home without a realtor to an investor, I did not realize how important a knowledgeable attorney would be in protecting my rights as the seller. Right after we signed the deal, Covid-19 hit and put the entire sale at risk. Jason spent so much time negotiating with the buyer and keeping me informed, I can't thank him enough! I have always been very skeptical of the legal profession and only went to him on a recommendation from a colleague that was on a committee we shared. It was the best decision I made. He told me Jason was the absolute best and he was right. In fairness, I need to say that my colleague is also a partner in that law firm, but he does not handle real estate transactions. When I went to purchase my new home, of course I hired Jason again. With Covid 19 still creating chaos with trying to get anything done, we were up against a firm deadline that if we did not close by that date, we would have been outbid by several other people who were waiting to offer more for my home. I don't know how he did it (other homes we had looked at and had contracts before mine, still have not closed) but he got it done right on the last day of the contract. I also want to mention his paralegal, Eva, is great. She knows her stuff and gets the nitty-gritty detail work done, no matter what. I highly recommend Jason if you need a lawyer, especially if you are selling a house to an investor. Of course, anything regarding real estate, he can handle very well.

Ms. Matthews is by far the worst attorney I have ever dealt with! To her credit, she is professional. On the flip side, she treated this client as if she were doing me a favor. She does not pay attention to detail. Furthermore, she was extremely condesending and arrogant. Ms. Matthews negotiated away the 6 felony charges she was provided with. One of these felonies was a Class B Felony which carries substantial jail time. I was informed, at the very last minute, I could provide a Victim Impact Statement. This is a significant lack of oversight in that Ms. Matthews earlier informed me I could not make such a statement. In my case, the criminal received a slap on the wrist.I subsequently have to live with the ruling of the court, which are in part due to the actions of an incompetent attorney, permanently. If you are smart, avoid Ms. Matthews at all costs!

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?

  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.
  8. Do you have references from past clients?
Testimonials or references can provide insight into the lawyer's professionalism and effectiveness.
  9. What are the strengths and weaknesses of my case?
Understanding potential challenges helps you prepare and sets realistic expectations.
  10. Are there alternative ways to solve my legal problem?
Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
