I met Natalie and Seth while sitting in on one of my clients meetings at Covelli, in regards to their Trust. Natalie is one of the most down to earth attorneys I have ever met and as a Financial Planner, I have worked with many attorneys over the last 40 years. I just had my own Will & Power of Attorney drawn up by them. Natalie explains everything at a level the average person can understand and I really fee comfortable with her! I would refer my clients to them and I have referred my parents to them! Their fees seems reasonable and the whole staff is great to work with!

The staff at Kimmel & Silverman were excellent to me after I experienced problems with my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee for the past year. They were able to obtain a settlement that was much more than I expected. Thank you!

We used Bootay Bevington & Nichols LLC twice for property assessment appeal. It can be an intimidating task to take on yourself. This firm knows the process inside and out and takes all of the pressure out of it. DJ Nichols answered all of our questions, explained the process, and handled every aspect of it through to a successful end both times. We highly recommend this firm.

This law firm’s website is coming up as “Insecure” on Google. As for our review: We were included in a mediation, fact finding conference in which Atty Christie Wells, from Lesko Law firm, represented, what turned out to be the opposing side. It was not supposed to be an adversarial telephone conference but Christie Wells started it that way and never stopped. Atty Wells overtalked everyone, did not allow any questions to be asked or full comments to be made. The real client, behind disagreeing parents, was a young child’s welfare. We were not the parents, but neutrals who had largely raised the young child interested only in the best future of this child. BE AWARE: Atty Wells was not interested in mediation, the truth, fact-finding or best interests of the child. She purposely used inflammatory statements and words to debase and misconstrue innocent situations and us personally. If she saw that a comment hurt or struck a negative cord she dug in deeper and deeper until any hope of mediation was lost. In fact, the end result was this: Atty Wells succeeded only in derailing any progress both parties had made previously. Her only goal became very apparent: destroy all chance of mediation. Score a win for her client. Truth did not matter. The young child’s interests were not even discussed. The mediation conference was stopped with no one having talked for 30 minutes except Atty Wells. This law firm uses the word zealous many, many times when describing their representation of their clients. Over-Zealous Decimation of any positive progress made between both parties is more accurate. More money was made (lucre) by attorneys on both sides due to Atty Wells’ tactics during this mediation conference. In any PA attorney’s oath are the words “ fidelity…. will use no falsehood, nor delay the cause of any person for lucre or malice.”

Debbie and her team were kind, professional, respectful, and accommodating while working with us through our pre-nup agreement. Deborah was professional, responsive and diligent throughout my experience working with her. She provided honest, strong and direct guidance when I needed it most. She was understanding of my emotions during the stress of legal proceedings and I am positive she cared about me as a client. As a person setting up a new business Trellis made everything incredibly simple. The follow up and follow through provided by Marlene and her team is invaluable and one of the best investments I have made in starting my business. I couldn't be happier to support a local small firm and I know that I have support should I need it in the future! (A truly well named business...Trellis for support, get it?) Thanks Marlene and Erin!

I met with Marlene at Trellis yesterday for an initial consultation. She was very thorough and helpful with addressing my legal questions. I left feeling well-informed and supported. I appreciate that Trellis also offers packages and guides for their services to make the process as consumer-friendly as possible. I would definitely recommend their services based on this interaction alone. Should I need further legal services in the future, I would not hesitate to reach out to them!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was going to file bankruptcy and was told I had to pay them $1,500 upfront, that was fine and I paid. I had other things come up that were not so good so I did tell them to hold off on processing papers. At this time nothing was done on their end, all I did was send papers in and they received them. I decided to not file for bankruptcy at this time. I reached out to them and let them know that and the first thing I was told was “no problem we will refund your money back”.. It has been over 4 months and i still have not received anything. I’ve called multiple times, I either cannot get ahold of anyone and nobody calls me back or I do get ahold of someone and they tell me they will find out what is going on but never do. I am disabled and have been waiting for my money back for months I think that is a ridiculous way to run a business you are supposed to have trust in. My advice is if you are going through hardships, and or need to file for bankruptcy please put your trust elsewhere!!!!

I was in a very bad situation and needed more help than just the Debt relief people. I wanted someone who I knew I could trust and that would not only help me but would give me support through the whole process. I knew Ken and his wife through a teaching job where I taught their 3 children. I knew Ken's reputation and Julie's. I knew I was in good hands because they knew me and my history. They gave me not only legal advice but also support throughout the entire process even into the court process which was very scary but with them behind me and their team I knew I was safe. Thanks again, Ken and your team.

I have had the distinct honor of having Mr. Roteman be involved in what is, more than likely my worst business financial disasters in my 35 year of being in business. From the 1st consultation thru the entire process, having his experience, tenacity, knowledge of the law was only exceeded by the compassion he exudes to his clients in truly their time of need. Ron Roteman should be your only choice when it counts and the chips are truly down!

Most of us need an attorney when something has gone wrong in our lives, business partner dispute, marriage, neighbor dispute over property, etc., etc., and what is needed at that point is a strong characteristic of an attorney to straighten out the mess. Ron Roteman, esq. fits that role. He is attentive, knowledgeable on the issues; he places himself in front of the adversary on your behalf regardless of the circumstances and all done in a very professional manner. Personalities are important when confronted with extraordinary legal situations, so you want the best. Ron handled my entire business case, while keeping me from total bankruptcy.

Morgan & Morgan provided exceptional service by referring me to the outstanding attorney Stephen R. Miller at Pond Lehocky. Their team was professional, attentive, and genuinely concerned about my needs. The referral process was seamless and efficient, leading me to a super lawyer who exceeded all my expectations. Stephen R. Miller's expertise and dedication were evident from our first meeting, and I felt confident and well-supported throughout my legal journey. Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.
  8. Do you have references from past clients?
Testimonials or references can provide insight into the lawyer's professionalism and effectiveness.
  9. What are the strengths and weaknesses of my case?
Understanding potential challenges helps you prepare and sets realistic expectations.
  10. Are there alternative ways to solve my legal problem?
Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
