Definitely highly recommend both Tyler and his staff and is always my first choice and go to person when real estate or legal assistance is needed. I was certainly hesitant to make a phone call after my auto accident to Lyons and Snyder but so happy I made that decision to call. Phil gave me the best knowledgeable information to proceed with my case. Guided me through all my medical decisions for my injury. Phil always eased my worries with his knowledge and bits of laughter. Trust him to give you the outcome you would so rightly deserve. Never hesitate to call and ask questions as knowledge is your power. Great work!!!

Phil & Martha were such a joy to work with through my car accident. It was my first time being an accident where a lawyer needed to be involved and it was extremely intimidating. Phil made me feel like no matter what happened everything would be ok and we would work through it. Martha is super communicative and she is on her P’s and Q’s you can’t ask for anything better from a law firm!

I was a stay at home mom with an infant when my ex-husband filed for divorce. My first attorney which I hired with borrowed money dropped my case after canceling my hearing for attorney's fees and financial relief( without my consent). At this time I was in the midst of a highly contentious divorce! I called Chris's office & spoke with Mel,and she understood everything, but I was short $500 for the retainer (still on borrowed money) Then things got worse after I hired my 2nd attorney. Which I had doubts about but, had a hearing scheduled and was pressured for time/money. She did nothing, just talked the talk she didn't even so much get me the financial hearing I pleaded with her to get and after at least 7 months of desperation and being in a highly contentious divorce,) things spun even more out of control with her as my attorney. My ex-husband now on lawyer 3! I called Chris's office again, desperate, scared and distrustful of attorneys! I made the appointment for the consultation and went in there with my family by my side, we were all at our wits end to say the least.by now I sold my jewelry, personal belongings and owed everyone in my family money, my credit was ruined, car was voluntarily surrendered etc... I went through my convoluted divorce, and I knew talking to him he would be able to get me out of the mess I was in. I left his office with with a weight off my shoulders, I had also given all my documents, thousands of papers! First thing he did on my case was set up the hearing I had waited a year for, they went through everything with a fine tooth comb, and we had a successful hearing! Finally I had some justice my child and myself! He got everything squared away. So much so in fact My ex-husband fired his 3rd attorney immediately after that hearing and was on lawyer #4. I can't say enough good things about Chris and his highly competent team. I could only wish I found him first, if anyone says he's expensive not hiring him could cost you more, and not just financially. I will always recommend him, because I learned the hard way, the difference between a phenomenal lawyer and the the ones who just want blood money.

Chris Link has been an incredible help for my family and I. Divorce is never easy. The talk of divorce is never easy. The legal and literal everyday realization of divorce could be looked at as the equivalent of death to a family. Chris not only showed caring, honest character throughout the entire procedure, but genuinely showed love for his craft and respect for his clients concerns and feelings. He put in 110% any time he worked with us or on the topic. I'm thankful we found him and my family is thankful as well. uou pay for what you get, and you get the best with this man.

I hired him as an attorney for my divorce. He inflamed such a hatred between my ex and I. After spending so much money he lost me the battle. While my divorce was going on, my friend also hired him and she's the only woman I know that lost the custody of her daughter to her ex husband because of this guy.

Gail Fisher is an incredibly competent and kind professional. When my father and stepmother were in need of greater care, I reached out to Gail. She was highly recommended to me by a lawyer in NY, which is where I live. Gail talked me through each step that I needed to do as a long-distance caregiver, including becoming Power of Attorney. She went above and beyond to help me, patiently explaining everything I needed to know so that my folks could get the help they needed. She is an amazing person and a fantastic lawyer. I remain very grateful to her.

My wife and I have been working with Gail Fisher for over 10 years, and have had only the VERY BEST experiences! She is a true professional, extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and always a pleasure to work with. Gail helped us initially with our own trusts, wills, and related legal documents, and has efficiently handled several revisions over the past few years. She also helped me navigate the (sometimes overwhelming!) task of administering my mother's estate when she passed. Gail's depth of knowledge about this area of law is truly impressive. She not only knows and understands the many nuances of estate planning and elder law (and especially as relates to the State of Florida) - but she somehow seems to always be able to explain those issues to us in a way we understand. We have always felt her legal fees are fair and 100% appropriate for an attorney with her extensive expertise and experience. We were first referred to Gail by a trusted friend and business associate - and we are very glad we were.

This lawyer did sign a contract and hold me over one week holding my case whom already is in legislation with the excuse that he was not sure about my case. Than after a week on hold he email me in the next morning telling me he will file in the court his appearance as my lawyer as well that his paralegal told me and 2 hours later send me an email withdraw the representation. If he was not sure why sign a contract and waste the time of a client whom already is suffering with an injury. This lawyer is very dishonest liar and unprofessional save your time and your case.

Paid retainer for foreclosure representation for an estate. Then paid him monthly only to answer a complaint of 29 allegations with 5 statements. Which the judge said was no defense! I paid him monthly as well and he lied and said i told him i didnt need him anymore and withdrew from case before summary judgement because i was 2 weeks late on payment. Funny thing is, the documentation from the mortgage company was fraudulent and he never addressed it. Never heard back for refund after months and months of trying to contact. Nor did i receive an accounting of fees i requested.

This man took retainer and monthly payment from my husband and myself for over a year to dispute a second mortgage that did not HE did not have negotiated into the Principle of the intial mortgage (he took care of that case) he told us it was unnecessary. Well he was wrong and we paid him for the year for him not to fight the case. It turns out he agreed with the foreclosure and did not research and told me they were selling my house for an interest mortgage that was less than 20% of my initial mortgage. He lied to us and did not do his job. Run for the hills. He needs to be sued for this type of theft. He does not do his job. He did help us initially, but I feel he has gotten lazy and greedy.

Just wanted to make sure everyone knew how cruel and heartless this all about the money this company is... just so you're aware you could have caused my daughter and I our lives. When everybody has come together to help out in a time of need, you decided to freeze my bank account, the absolute only money my 9 year old and I have access too the day we were told that we had to evacuate because of hurricane Irma. I contacted this heartless company and they did not care one bit. Long story short we were unable to leave our home as we were told to do because we are in zone A as we had NO money, no money to buy supplies, no money for gas, no money to leave or even drive to a shelter. I have been out of work now going on a week because there is no power at our office, and still can not leave our home. I am grateful that we lived trough this, but still have no access to my money for almost one month. How do you think I will be able to go out and purchase gas and food???? We have no other family here. Again.. your company is cruel and please take the little money I owe you and do as you please with it, I hope your conscience is clear.

Took my mother's custody case knowing grandparents do not have custody rights in Florida right after my sister passed away from an accident. Took $7,000 from my mother and did absolutely nothing for the case (he knew from the beginning there was no case, but took it anyway). I, and several others, witnessed him playing games on his phone DURING THE HEARING. Case was obviously lost and custody was lost, as well as the full invoice amount. Now, a year later, is claiming he is still owed $280 from his invoice and is suing my mother for $500. - Takes cases he knows he can't win - Plays videogames on customer's time - Takes advantage of grieving clients - Unorganized book keeping - Sues his own clients whose case he loses

I was in a car accident where I was struck from the front and behind. My Yanofsky received a letter from one of the insurance companies admitted 50% liability and requesting a demand letter. No letter was ever sent. Numerous phone calls were made, never returned and he was unable to be reached in person. The ultimate dereliction of his attorney duty was his inability to file the case with the courts within required time necessary for the statute of limitations. He filed on the last day he could, just short of two hours past the deadline. I had tried to get me case records; even another attorney I spoke with tried to reach him, to no avail. This case was practically a no brainier, but I guess he was too busy either trying to get into politics or writing a book. I didn't know the legal aspect of a lawsuit, but he completely failed me.

After hiring attorney Tyler Trumbach, I realize he was not an experienced attorney nor had sufficient training in his craft? While receiving services it seemed as if he was in the early learning process, by then it was too late the damage had been done. After I sort for a new counsel Mr. Trumbach was immediately terminated. I had a court hearing June 3, 2019 the magistrate ruled insufficient evidence Mr. Trumbach replied motion for continuance. The subject of the hearing who filed the petition was representing themselves. A new court hearing was issued for July 3, 2019 which I was scheduled to attend. After arriving to court Mr. Trumbach contacted me by cell phone and was told not attend the hearing. Prior to this he said he would file motion to counter the petitioner’s petition but did not instead file another motion for continuance because he wanted to be courteous to the petitioner’s attorney Jonathan Axel which I learned was a good friend of his and the petitioner had recently secured his services. I asked him did Jonathan Axel and his client hired him for services as I did he stated no and added if I would not allow him to be courteous to his friend he would withdraw immediately 30 minutes before the hearing. This was the day of the hearing July 3, 2019. After the conversation he allowed the petitioner’s attorney to file motion for continuance there is no evidence so now they have more time to fabricate more information. I terminated Mr. Trumbach services and hired an experienced counsel. I emailed Mr. Trumbach and explained in details why I should receive a full refund he never responded. On May 3, 2019 there was hearing motion to dissolve an injunction which he assured would be dissolved after he quotes statutes unannounced to me he decided to withdraw from the hearing requesting the magistrate for more time to review the petitioner’s incident report which I submitted to him already. When he realized the magistrate wanted to make me pay restitution to the petitioner for leaving work early. I convinced Mr. Trumbach to proceed with the hearing. He should have prepared before receiving payment for services. Before this complaint was filed I spoke to Mr. Trumbach about this matter and did point out the same details. He replied not to lecture him and recommend hiring a new attorney. I checked his Avvo account online and realized he had 1 year experience. However, there is no way to determine if an attorney is a good attorney. After licensing is obtained clients expect attorneys to be knowledgeable about their craft. Mr. Trumbach has not gained the experience necessary for proper representation of any client he should not be allowed legal representation of any person until he has acquired sufficient training.

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.
  8. Do you have references from past clients?
Testimonials or references can provide insight into the lawyer's professionalism and effectiveness.
  9. What are the strengths and weaknesses of my case?
Understanding potential challenges helps you prepare and sets realistic expectations.
  10. Are there alternative ways to solve my legal problem?
Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
