I was in a custody battle for my children for a year and a half. Nothing was happening with the lawyers I was using and they were very expensive. I hired Kristy Hanson to take over very late in the proceedings, I was nervous it might be too late to change lawyers but I needed someone to fight for my children, too much was at stake. Kristy jumped right in, she understood the situation, she was available when we needed her, and returned calls promptly even after business hours. Took the time to explain everything. She formed a plan and carried it out. With the previous lawyers I had to constantly check in on them, give them ideas, I felt like I had to tell them everything they should be doing. The only thing you could count on them doing is sending you the bill every month with a follow up call to pay promptly. Kristy was the opposite. She would call me with updates and strategies. In a few short months after I hired her she turned everything around and I got full custody! Kristy is knowledgeable, level headed, she can be as tough as she needs to be and expertly knows how to handle judges and other lawyers. I honestly feel she fought for my children like she was fighting for her own children. Cherry on top, she was significantly less than my previous lawyer. I would highly recommend her.

Buhler Thomas Law, P.C. was extremely helpful with our very long process of getting our US Permanent Residence. It was a complicated process mainly due to compiling documentation from several countries where we lived and keeping track of all that was quite challenging. The Buhler Thomas team was very patient and persistent specially with reloading info every time there was a comment/rejection from NVC. In the end, we managed to get through the entire process despite some delays caused by reiteration of document uploading and finally we were called for a personal interview at the consulate and from there a final check/interview at Immigration in the US. Specifically her work for me had been in conjunction with her representing my wife in a very messy and scary divorce from her previous husband, a sadistic narcissist who was stalking, harassing, and slandering her at every turn. He would threaten anyone who helped my wife with legal action, which included trying to get a protective order against me to keep me away from her and our two minor children. I hired tyler back in 2012. Tyler fought a long hard battle for me for 7.5 years. He never gave up on me or my case. I wish I could fully convey my thoughts about Scott. Scott took on my case midway through the process when my previous attorney quit my divorce. I found myself in a really bad spot having to find a new attorney that was willing to go to trial with a judge that was not in my favor, and against my ex’s attorney who was free. Scott had good graces knowing that I came from an attorney that honestly loathed him, and he took up my banner in the middle of his heavy case load. I cannot tell you how indebted to him and his team for making the impossible possible.
By the time my trial came my case had been completely revamped. His partner Mckail worked diligently on my exhibits for my case and spent the time to really prepare all my witnesses before trial. We walked in to court with a better case than I had in the last year, and Scott’s acumen in the trial was shrewd and well informed. His arguments consistently met with the approval of the judge, and he deftly handled my ex’s attorney when they tried to sneak in testimony that was underhanded.
In the end I got what I fought for two years for, my kids and the equal right to be involved in their lives. My children and I are the direct benefactors of Scott’s skills and help. I absolutely give my recommendation to Scott as an attorney worth working with.

I had a nasty divorce, it took 6 years and in the process I ended up getting a stalking injunction against my mother in law for breaking into our home, vandalizing my property, visiting with our neighbors and spreading rumors and slander. I did that myself and ended up with 8 counts of stalking against her.
She is so vindictive she ended up waiting about a year and then used the some of the same incidents that were counted against her... to try to get an injunction against me. She submitted it in one district court outside of Utah County where the judge flat denied her request. He wrote "This does not constitute stalking!" and underlined it... He wrote denied right on the front cover.
2 weeks later she filed the same thing in the fourth district. The damned judge did not even let me and my divorce attorney present or defend me. He just gave her the Stalking Injunction she asked for. (I think judges are afraid if something were to happen... and they did not give one out... they would be in a jamb)
I hired Dallas to appeal this. He did... and the writing was BRILLIANT... really. If you really want to look it up... Appellate cases are not closed in Utah and the case is public. My name is John Andrew Armstrong. Hers is Candace Peterson... just google it.
It took forever it seems, not for Dallas but for the State Appellate court to make their call. Needless to say, we won and were awarded attorney fees.
Dallas is top notch, I have referred him before to others as well who have had positive experiences. He is safe, effective and smart. Well worth your trust.

My both cases are nearing to Fact Discovery deadlines and I am getting anxious. My wife and I are about to turn 60. We have a few rentals, house, and other assets. We wanted to see an estate attorney to set up our estate properly. We have 4 adult children and wanted everything to be in order. Attorney Lish did an excellent job setting up our estate. I suggested a few ideas and he was very helpful and taught me the pros and cons of my ideas. I am really glad I picked an attorney who specializes in estates to set up my will, estate, living will, etc. I can't remember all the specific sections without getting out the paperwork. At the end he gave my wife and me all the paperwork in a white binder that we were able to put in our safe at home. I'm just a local Orem/Provo guy who needed things set up properly for my wife and kids. Glad it is all completed. If I remember right he also offers a free review each year since things can change. Maybe we will go back in after 3 or 4 years for a review. I was very happy with the experience and happy to know that we have our estate set up properly.
