I’m not much on writing reviews but I feel like I’d be doing a disservice by not sucking it up for the gain of others after having done business with Mr. Berggren. Being 50 I come from the age of filing being something taboo and I couldn’t say with any more certainty it was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I immediately had a weight lifted off my shoulders after going to court with Bill and being approved to file with the damages I had caused myself financially. Not only was I able to keep my car and home but I was able to walk away from bad decisions in my opinion such as a time share, high interest loan, etc. I spent a lot of time checking others reviews and one of the many great things about filing with Bill is the fact you deal with the person you hire. It’s not like the offices of big name lawyers where you deal with all their up and comers. Not that they don’t deserve their right to make a name for themselves but when you’re talking about salvaging everything I’ve ever worked for having him by my side in court and every step of the way was lets say a blessing. Should you need to make this decision to better your financial and mental well being you can’t go wrong with working with Bill in my opinion. Best Wishes in your endeavors and I pray you’re blessed as I have been in your future years both mentally and financially.

I am not writing this review as a bankruptcy client of Mr. Berggren…..it is quite the opposite. This review, which I hope to post everywhere, is about Mr. B’s character, his courtesy and understanding, his extreme knowledge of contractual and bankruptcy laws, and his professionalism (not to mention his terrific sense of humor). On 3/3/23, I signed a contract with Covenant Roofing in Durham, as well as the financing documents for the job through GoodLeap, which Covenant refers their clients to for financing options. About 5 weeks after I signed the contracts, no work had yet been started, Covenant Roofing filed for bankruptcy. Also, GoodLeap increased the amount of the contract I signed and they would not give me an addendum or a voided contract of the first one I signed, even though that amount was included AGAIN in the second set of loan documents. Of course, I would not sign the second set. A friend of mine is a bankruptcy client of Mr. B, and she suggested I contact him for an unusual sort of consultation. First of all, somebody actually answered the phone when I called his office, and second of all, he called me right back. He said he would be happy to talk about my situation right over the phone, and third of all, with NO CONSULTATION FEE after 40 minutes on the phone. Amazing. The bottom line is that, even though he is not my lawyer or representing me in any way, I took his advice on what to do which resulted in me getting out of my GoodLeap financing loan. And because I have it documented and memorialized that Covenant never started the work, nor did they return my calls and inquiries, that matter is also considered as null and void. Thank you Mr. Berggren for being a decent human being who is ruled and driven by just doing something nice!

Mr. Crook did an excellent job representing me for a DWI charge. From the very beginning, he was easy to get in touch with and made use I understood my case thoroughly. He explained every step of the process and patiently answered all my questions. Always made himself available to talk. In the courtroom, he was attentive and effective. Ultimately my charges were dropped, in large part thanks to Andrew's diligence. Highly recommended!

I got speeding ticket in Raleigh. 63 on 35 mile zone is dangerous. But Andrew was there to help. I got PJC with 24 hours of community service. Andrew brought the best results back from court. No raise in Insurance, driving license is safe. You Rock Andrew!! Must call if you are in trouble.

I had a very cantankerous case with Mike that meandered through the Family Court system for several years, and I couldn't think of a better attorney to have by my side. He has an great understanding of the laws (obviously), but more importantly the intricacies of the "system": the policies and procedures the Courts and Judges follow in the administering of the cases...this may seem insignificant, but generates many opportunities to grab the upper hand in negotiations. Most importantly, he commands respect from the Judges and the Court system, as they know he has a deep reservoir of knowledge/understanding and is a very respectful presence in their courtroom. Mike is good at devising legal strategy, and explaining the possible outcomes of your case (he can't, after all, predict the way the Judges will decide on this issue or that). He presents his cases not with fiery oration, but with the technical skill of a surgeon. On top of all this, he's a great guy, and I believe he doesn't take cases unless he believes he can make a difference. Highly recommended...

The idea seemed wonderful—when a couple decided that their marriage should be dissolved, all parties would work together to achieve a non-adversarial, respectful, peaceful resolution at reasonable cost. I was referred to the law office of Sheryl T. Friedrichs by family financial advisors for just such an experience. My spouse’s attorney, however, while wanting to stay out of court, was not familiar with the concept of Collaborative Divorce and not interested in undertaking a face-to-face interactive process. Thus began a hybrid version of separation and property settlement negotiation. From my client viewpoint, trust by the other side was the primary issue. What were my personal motives? How much did I care about the opposite party’s outcome? Where were the resources each would need to continue a safe and comfortable single life? It made sense that traditional legal representation would take a cautious approach. Extended time and patient, conscientious effort would be necessary to remove obstacles and reach agreements. Sheryl’s collaborative mindset, though not always reciprocated, made all the difference. As the process continued, progress accelerated and confidence was built. In the end, a document was crafted and accepted by both parties which would make the actual divorce a formality. Working with Sheryl Friedrichs was collaborative in the best sense—people working together in good faith to a mutually beneficial finish. I give her my wholehearted appreciation and highest possible recommendation.

If you ever find yourself in need of a knowledgeable, trusted divorce attorney who takes the utmost care for your interests, I would highly recommend contacting Ms. Sheryl Friedrichs. I acquired her services to help me navigate the minefield of an unwanted divorce. She was compassionate, well-qualified, and most helpful in walking me through the process, providing adequate time for reflection so that I could make sound decisions that were in my best interests. In handling my case (mind you I live out of state), there was a night and day difference in the handling of the proceedings from that of the opposing attorney. This restored my faith that divorce lawyers are not all cut from the same cloth. Ms. Friedrichs did not miss a beat. She was always organized, prompt and courteous. She followed through on every commitment from researching court files and spotting my ex's complaint and affidavit inconsistencies and errors which she promptly addressed to representing my at the refinance closing of the shared property with my ex which involved the added security of ensuring the mortgage was paid and paper receipt was delivered to me. After I was struck and run over by a drunk driver, I tried to find a lawyer to represent me, but I was instead met only no callbacks and vague statements that their caseloads were full. Apparently my case was not simple or easy enough for other attorneys. I had just about given up trying to find representation when my father found the excellent reviews for Jason Burton and suggested that I give him a call. I'm exceedingly glad that I did. Jason was incredibly professional and helpful during this particularly stressful time in my life. Jason listened carefully and provided excellent advice. I could not be happier with my choice of attorney. Because of Jason's efforts, I was awarded the maximum amount possible from both the drunk driver's insurance company and my own insurance plan's under-insured motorist coverage. Late last summer, I was severely injured due to an unexpected “tustle” with a bouncer who blindsided me and hit me square in the jaw. I had no part of the altercation that happened outside of the bar that night and unfortunately got sucker punched by a huge bouncer. I went straight to the E.R. thinking this man had broke my jaw. Luckily months later, I recieved video evidence from someone spectating. I was not sure that anything would settle because of them being bouncers at a well established bar.... yet Jason was able to hear my case and help me settle with more than what i had endured. He listened to the full story and believed in me, gave me good advice and had excellent communication through the entire process. Jason is extremely good at what he does and I HIGHLY recommend giving this man a call for anyone with a personal injury!!

Patrick Hatch was very helpful in guiding us through our I-485 AOS interview. He helped prep us for the interview, review our materials and went with us to the interview on relatively short notice. In these times of greed and selfishness, it is so refreshing when someone like Jeffrey Cook offers free consultations to see if he can help before you fork over more of your hard earned money. My situation did not need more follow up so I did not need to hire him but I would have if I needed representation. Instead he gave me information that helped me take care of my situation on my own. He was interested in helping, not simply getting paid. He is knowledgeable in his area of focus and knows the key players. I would highly recommend Jeffrey Cook as a straight shooter and a good attorney to have on your side.
