This was my first time ever getting a DUI, at 41 and with a CDL it was a BIG NO and a eye opener, but with the help of Sara Gheesling and her team from Lawson and Berry Attorneys at Law, my life and my situation definitely got handled, specially my DUI got reduced because I was instructed to do all my classes and community service ahead of time. My family hired Allison when my autistic teenage son was starting back to public school after being homeschooled for a couple of years. We were traumatized from the rigmarole of IEPs and I decided I wasn’t messing around anymore. We had to re-up with Allison one time, but we didn’t use all of the second installment, even though we had 3-4 lonnnngggg IEP meetings. After all of that, my son has a 1:1 para that is with him all day and he just finished his freshman year with 7 As and 1 B. I never dared to hope that this would be his reality, but it is! He’s so bouyed by this transformation that he’s telling me he wants to tackle reading (his greatest challenge) this summer so that he can take AP classes junior year. I am so happy that I had Mr. Swank as my attorney. I received a ticket for an accident that was not my fault. There was not any contact with my car. The ticket was a civil and criminal matter. Our tenant declared bankruptcy, which halted our eviction. There was another complication in this legal matter. The tenant's wife gave us a bad check for rent and we had started criminal charges against her. Grant returned our first phone call within one hour. He answered a several questions thoroughly, before we even engaged him as our attorney. During the conversation, we realized that Grant was an expert in this area of the law. We paid him that day, he filed our motion the next day. He kept us informed throughout the process. The process proceeded exactly as he told explained in the initial conversation. I feel that Grant's advice regarding the bad check saved us from a large fine from the bankruptcy judge. Grant provides excellent value for his fee. I have already recommended him to another landlord.

I went into this unfortunate situation completely unaware of what to expect. Constantly worried about what the final outcome would be, but in the end Catherine delivered in all aspects of representing me and my needs. In comparison to the opposing the counsel, it was so obvious that Catherine was better prepared, more knowledgable, better organized, and completely in control of the situation at all times. I retained Elizabeth's services for a contempt filing. I received great council and representation. Below is a breakdown of a few of the areas that I think are important:
Communication: Excellent. Emails and phone calls were responded to in less than 24 hours and in most cases with in a few hours during the business day. Additionally, proactive communication concerning status was immediate. I knew exactly where we were in the process at all times without having to ask.
Staff: Like most law firms, Elizabeth has a team of paralegals and support staff. I found them to be a pleasure to work with. They were all friendly, very responsive and knowledgeable.
Use of Technology: While seemingly less important, the competent use of technology can make or break the experience. Elizabeth's firm uses technology very well. Meetings can be conducted leveraging video conferencing, payments can be automated, detailed billing reports are available in near real time, and they use document repositories very effectively that both parties have access to. The shared document repositories were great.
Representation and attention to detail: Elizabeth and her team are very friendly but aggressive while still ethical when it comes to their approach. They do not leave items on the table, so to speak. I truly believe that I could not have received better representation. They went above and beyond on more than one occasion. They were so effective that we were able to avoid a nasty court battle without capitulating on any of our requests. Highly unusual outcome. As a note (the defendant may not agree), I do believe that Elizabeth prevented a truly negative and potentially damaging outcome for the defendant.
Cost: This is a hard one for me to judge since I do not have the need for legal representation often. However, I do believe that in most cases you get what you pay for. Therefor, the benefit and outcome justified the cost. I am pretty sure that I was not billed for every single second that was spent on my case. In other words, I was not "nickel and dimmed". Additionally, cost and fees were transparent and communicated clearly. There were no surprises.
In summation, I would absolutely retain this firm again.

I had the bad luck of being in the right place at the wrong time! A total miscarriage of justice began on that major Holiday weekend (remember Holiday, no judge, no Bond) putting me in jail…a “scared straight-type experience”!! The recommendation of a close friend put The Don Turner Legal Team, of which Attorney Lisanne Edelman is a key player, in touch with my wife, and Don showed up at the earliest possible moment that the judicial system would allow. Don assured me he would do everything in his power to help me, and he immediately did. Don was a familiar face with a strong and solid reputation with the Magistrate & Prosecutor, and he secured my immediate release.
When I went to the law office, Don & Lisanne explained exactly what I had been charged with and we reviewed some scenarios, all while they reassured me that they truly believed the outcome would be favorable. I had a problem with my employer at the time and called Rob Reid for a consultation. He was very easy to talk to and put things into simple terms for me to understand instead of complicated legal terms and language. He let me know the strengths and weaknesses of my case vs. my employer. He told me how my employer viewed the issue since he has represented employers in many cases in the past. He also told me how a court would view the issue if it ever went to trial. After the consultation, I hired Rob to represent me. During the process, Rob kept me informed as the case moved forward. He returned all my calls promptly and he called me any time he had written or verbal communication with my employer. He always explained my options to me and gave me the pros and cons of every decision. I always felt like my case was a priority for him and never felt like I was just another client or case to him. He is very personalble and I never felt like there was a question I couldn't ask him during the whole process. Eventually, he did reach a very satisfactory settlement for me with my employer. Since then I have referred him to many friends who had a serious case or just needed some general legal advice and ALL of them have thanked me for referring them to Rob. As I said in my title, Rob changed my stereotypical view of attorneys. Rob helped me negotiate an executive compensation package with my present employer that protected me from termination without cause. The company I work for was involved in a dispute among board members and it is a difficult environment to feel secure in your job. Rob helped me get a contract that guaranteed my employment and compensation unless there was a unanimous vote by the board to fire me after the 2 year contract ended. It is 4 years later and I am still working for the same company. I am very happy with my compensation package as it is fair to my employer and myself. Rob came into a very difficult and sensitive situation and helped me secure this compensation package when it looked like there was no hope. He managed to bring the board members together to resolve this situation so I did not have to leave the company. A while back, I gave my credit card number to a charlatan for a supposed business opportunity. I immediately realized my error, but this man would not cancel the transaction. My mother (a challenging soul during the best of times) employed him to write her will several months ago. During this time, he exhibited kindness and patience and wrote her what I can only call a beautiful will.
He is reasonably priced and very good at what he does.
I used him to probate my mom's will when she passed a few months ago and he did so in a very short period of time, also for a reasonable price.
I cannot recommend him more highly and plan to use him for my own family's estate planning and end of life planning in addition to any other legal needs that we have.
