I retained Elizabeth's services for a contempt filing. I received great council and representation. Below is a breakdown of a few of the areas that I think are important:
Communication: Excellent. Emails and phone calls were responded to in less than 24 hours and in most cases with in a few hours during the business day. Additionally, proactive communication concerning status was immediate. I knew exactly where we were in the process at all times without having to ask.
Staff: Like most law firms, Elizabeth has a team of paralegals and support staff. I found them to be a pleasure to work with. They were all friendly, very responsive and knowledgeable.
Use of Technology: While seemingly less important, the competent use of technology can make or break the experience. Elizabeth's firm uses technology very well. Meetings can be conducted leveraging video conferencing, payments can be automated, detailed billing reports are available in near real time, and they use document repositories very effectively that both parties have access to. The shared document repositories were great.
Representation and attention to detail: Elizabeth and her team are very friendly but aggressive while still ethical when it comes to their approach. They do not leave items on the table, so to speak. I truly believe that I could not have received better representation. They went above and beyond on more than one occasion. They were so effective that we were able to avoid a nasty court battle without capitulating on any of our requests. Highly unusual outcome. As a note (the defendant may not agree), I do believe that Elizabeth prevented a truly negative and potentially damaging outcome for the defendant.
Cost: This is a hard one for me to judge since I do not have the need for legal representation often. However, I do believe that in most cases you get what you pay for. Therefor, the benefit and outcome justified the cost. I am pretty sure that I was not billed for every single second that was spent on my case. In other words, I was not "nickel and dimmed". Additionally, cost and fees were transparent and communicated clearly. There were no surprises.
In summation, I would absolutely retain this firm again.

I first met Mrs. Mason about 4 years ago when I was hurt in an automobile accident. I was out of work for almost two weeks and did not work during that time. I had the bad luck of being in the right place at the wrong time! A total miscarriage of justice began on that major Holiday weekend (remember Holiday, no judge, no Bond) putting me in jail…a “scared straight-type experience”!! The recommendation of a close friend put The Don Turner Legal Team, of which Attorney Lisanne Edelman is a key player, in touch with my wife, and Don showed up at the earliest possible moment that the judicial system would allow. Don assured me he would do everything in his power to help me, and he immediately did. Don was a familiar face with a strong and solid reputation with the Magistrate & Prosecutor, and he secured my immediate release.
When I went to the law office, Don & Lisanne explained exactly what I had been charged with and we reviewed some scenarios, all while they reassured me that they truly believed the outcome would be favorable. In the months before my court date, if I had a question that one of the staff members couldn't answer, Lisanne would call me very quickly. Lisanne Edelman is a terrific attorney who doggedly pursues the issues to their ultimate favorable resolution! Don’s office staff, notably Ashley is a fantastic administrator, who “keeps all the plates spinning” in the office!!! I had a problem with my employer at the time and called Rob Reid for a consultation. He was very easy to talk to and put things into simple terms for me to understand instead of complicated legal terms and language. He let me know the strengths and weaknesses of my case vs. my employer. He told me how my employer viewed the issue since he has represented employers in many cases in the past. He also told me how a court would view the issue if it ever went to trial. After the consultation, I hired Rob to represent me. During the process, Rob kept me informed as the case moved forward. He returned all my calls promptly and he called me any time he had written or verbal communication with my employer. He always explained my options to me and gave me the pros and cons of every decision. I always felt like my case was a priority for him and never felt like I was just another client or case to him. He is very personalble and I never felt like there was a question I couldn't ask him during the whole process. Eventually, he did reach a very satisfactory settlement for me with my employer. Since then I have referred him to many friends who had a serious case or just needed some general legal advice and ALL of them have thanked me for referring them to Rob. As I said in my title, Rob changed my stereotypical view of attorneys. I hope I never have a legal problem again but if I do, I know who to call now and I would not be near as afraid or intimidated as I was before Rob was my attorney.

Rob helped me negotiate an executive compensation package with my present employer that protected me from termination without cause. The company I work for was involved in a dispute among board members and it is a difficult environment to feel secure in your job. Rob helped me get a contract that guaranteed my employment and compensation unless there was a unanimous vote by the board to fire me after the 2 year contract ended. It is 4 years later and I am still working for the same company. I am very happy with my compensation package as it is fair to my employer and myself. Rob came into a very difficult and sensitive situation and helped me secure this compensation package when it looked like there was no hope. He managed to bring the board members together to resolve this situation so I did not have to leave the company. Thru the entire process, he kept me informed and earned my trust even though I have been had bad experiences with other attorneys in the past. I have recommended him several times since then to business associates, friends and family members and all of them have been satisfied with Rob's services.

A while back, I gave my credit card number to a charlatan for a supposed business opportunity. I immediately realized my error, but this man would not cancel the transaction. He had worked this system for quite some time and knew the tricks to abuse the consumer. So, even the credit card company could not help me to recover my funds. Wally stepped in and looked meticulously at the case. He applied extensive knowledge, understanding, and strategy and soon had the swindler begging to settle. I have had business relations with Nancy Liu for a number for years and had many business dealings with her. I wouldn’t think of using any other firm even though I have had other attorneys approach me for my business. Put simply, place your file with Nancy and rest peacefully – she has your back.
Nancy is meticulous, thorough, attentive to detail and very protective of her client’s interests. One closing I brought to her involved multiple possible claims to ownership, Nancy took the precaution to protect my interest from any claims on the property from anyone past, present or future. That’s an example of the extra work that she does, that very few other attorneys will do nowadays (there’s not a lot of money for them in closing work).
She is also very responsive - when working your file you will find Nancy very easy to reach by phone or email no matter how busy she is. She goes well beyond the standard service one expects from an attorney – including working on your file until wee hours to ensure timelines are met and any and all issues are addressed, but not billing for those overtime hours.
Although it’s possible she can be perceived as outspoken, curt or a bit aggressive – when dealing with those who are not her clients or are challenging her clients. But to me those are positive traits in an attorney, not negatives. She is a consummate professional who represents her clients to the utmost. The fact that Nancy doesn’t take guff or suffer fools lightly is a strength in my books.

Frank is very personable and easy to work with. My IRS issues required a consistent advocate to protect me from an overly zealous revenue officer, and I felt well represented.
