Sunday is hands down one of the best lawyer I had the privileged of defending me. She was very open with her communication and knowledgable in the criminal defense space. I spoke with many lawyers and after speaking with Sunday, she was the clear choice. All the other lawyers were money hungry and didn't seem to care as much as Sunday did. Sunday walked me through the whole process and helped get my case dismissed all together. Hopefully, I would not be in another position to require a lawyer but if I were, there's no one else I would even consider.

Between past history, and hearing from others, court appointed lawyers won't always help to their best abilities. I really felt Sunday was completely on my side. She communicated effectively, gave me the best advice for the result I desired, and it was overall really easy to work with her.

As a father of two teenagers, I wanted custody. You can imagine it is not easy. Therefore, the first and most important thing is to hire a competent attorney. After I interviewed 7 attorneys, I immediately hired Patricia. She could quickly catch the main points and understand my pursuit. She focused on clients’ needs and was willing to try it for me. She is very professional, listened to me and provided valuable ideas on how I should present my case to the court. She worked hard and even had a conference call with me on a weekend. Paula, the paralegal, is also very professional. She read all the documents I prepared. She read my Final Decree of Divorce and found more violations of my ex, which I had never known before. She was quick and efficient and always answered my questions in time. The fee is reasonable and may save more than others. They don't itemize the costs of each email or phone call, which may prevent you from communicating when in doubt. If you have any divorce or custody issue, I suggest you hire Patricia.

I found Patricia through an online search when my ex-husband was filing for a divorce. Once I met her and Paula, I knew I’d chosen the right firm.
Patricia provided guidance and support when I was going through a very emotional and difficult time. She helped me understand all the steps in the process and what to expect with each one. She and Paula were available to me by email and phone. Instead of worrying about legal issues, I was able to focus on keeping my daughters and myself safe and healthy.
Since we first met, I’ve had to retain Patricia’s services when things come up with my ex-husband. They understand the law around custody and divorce and all the little details that can easily scare someone in unfamiliar territory.
I believe her fees are reasonable and fair. I would highly recommend her.

She is an extremely talented attorney, I was blessed to have found her and her firm. My court case is still ongoing but our first day in court she kept opposing counsel on his back foot. So much so that after constantly being objected to and having every one be sustained when the time came one was not he carried on as of it was. Truly amazing! She is well prepared in court, she came with everything needed digitally and hard copies in case the judge wanted paper in hand or there happened to be some technical hiccup. She concentrated on what was important to the case now and what could wait for later. So far I've been able to get what I've asked for and managed to keep custody of my 4 children, which were most important to me. James Parker is the main individual responsible for my victory in my small claims case. Although he advised me to represent myself based on the amount I was seeking, he devoted time to preparing me to do so knowing he had nothing to gain in return. I was a nervous wreck and was having difficulty sleeping due to the stress of trying to navigate the intricacies of my case, school, and work. James reduced my anxiety by encouraging me to pursue my case although the defendant had obtained a lawyer, directing me to the correct legal codes to make my case, and helping me understand what was expected of me as a pro se litigant. I went into the courtroom equipped with the knowledge he shared with me and was able to participate in jury selection, make my opening statements, testify, successfully object to a question, cross examine, and close. James did not stop there. He took the initiative to follow up on my case and gave me a call to congratulate me on my victory. You may think that any lawyer could have helped me do all of this, but I’m a firm believer in the notion that you can judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him. For that reason, I wouldn’t want just any lawyer to help me I would want to work with James.

I am here to tell you that I was in a dire situation in which I was going to loose my contact on a newly build duplex because of a piss poor communication between lender and the builder. When I say loose my contract, I mean with in hours the builder was sending me a cancel contract order. My real estate agent was no help at all and I need an advocate straight away to assist me. I was referred to Mr. Parker and was lucky to get him on the phone the first call.
I told him my situation and he patiently and graciously gave me solution immediately; over the phone. Yes, you read that correctly, over the phone. Thanks to him I was able to save my home and let out a huge sigh of relief.

I have been a client of hers for over a year and she is amazing. She responds to my calls and texts quickly and always makes me feel better. In the courtroom I was blown away by her skill and ability to argue in front of the judge and with her ability to question the witnesses and helping me to make sure my daughter is with me when my wife has tried to take her away. She seems genuinely concerned about what is best for children and truly cares about her clients. I was referred to Blayre’s practice by an attorney that I know and trust. He described her as “great” and “solid”. That’s high praise from an experienced partner at a different firm. I was immediately impressed when I called and spoke with a paralegal who took down the basics of my case to refer to the legal team. He was patient and caring, and he didn’t brush me off because I needed a consultation within 24 hours or because this would be a small matter per their usual case size. He called back in a couple hours and let me know that they weren’t able to help me in such a short timeframe, which I totally understood. The thing that caused me to write this review is that he went above and beyond what any other attorney or firm has done—he emailed me a few referrals as well as links to free legal advice and other resources! This shows me that this practice cares about helping people even if they’re not profiting from it. I will definitely call Blayre Peña in the future if God-forbid I’m up against another legal hurdle.

Winnie Bates “let me go” as a client after I questioned thousands in charges for time that simply and clearly was not spent, and time that undeniably did not need to be spent.
For example I was charged for her time to send me an email requesting I reschedule a meeting that SHE missed (no call no show). To top it off I had already rescheduled that meeting two days prior. I was billed for both her time and her paralegals time simultaneously through mediation so she could openly work on other cases to the point that she wasn’t even effective in mediation. She didn’t say a single thing in 3 hours that was either relevant to the conversation or to my feelings.
She did however share all her personal and professional correspondence via email, and instant message during those 3 hours because she was sharing her screen. Even after she was warned it was all coming up on my screen she continued to forget I was even in the office. She bad talked multiple in the process, shouting it across the office. It was a show to say the least.
After seeing it in person it was obvious why we had to have the EXACT same meeting 3 different times, not including consultation where we addressed the same facts. It was obvious why the process took 3 times longer than it should have. It was obvious that I wasn’t going to stand beside this bunch while the fate of the most important was decided.
I asked them to stop putting time into my case immediately. Once I had time to look over the charges I requested a meeting to talk about several particular discrepancies, she directly responded by dropped me as a client, no explanations. More than a month later, I get another bill from Winnie. She won’t stop making up things to bill for, and apparently forgotten who I am again, but she’s willing to write off that last bill if I remove my reviews.

Prior to Winnie I had meet with and spoken to around 5 other attorney's before I decided to choose her.
