Michelle has worked with me on two cases and was able to, ultimately, get both cases dismissed. In the first case she went above and beyond to get to know me and the particulars of my situation and used those details to obtain a successful outcome for me. In the other case she was able to suppress ion scan evidence (a swab of the doorknob of my apartment) on which the entire case against me was built. Michelle has played a key role in outcomes that encouraged me to do the right thing (long-term drug rehab) but did not destroy my ability to recover. I very highly recommend!

I was pregnant 🤰🏾 and I was in a car collision where I was rear ended. I was pretty banged up because not only was I pregnant but it was also winter as well. Represented a family member of mine as opposition in a family court case and was not only unprofessional but made decisions and gave legal counsel that was detrimental to our family but mostly to my nephew, a child. She brought tactics into the courtroom that were in direct contradiction to what family law’s goal is, which is to put the child first. I found her to be unsuitable as an attorney, was crass, and frankly, pulled some ugly stunts that only made her look bad. Seeing as she was working pro-bono, her lack of professionalism and care for the child’s best interest, lined up. Not only would I not recommend using her as your attorney, I also hope you never have to deal with her as representation for opposition. Now we’re having to deal with her associate, Michael Ortner, in an appeal case that is completely unnecessary. Was, and still is, genuinely a drawn out and horrific experience because of Theresa Bofferding and her disregard for human beings.

She need to works better on how to prepare her Clients and ask them to bring more documents as proof for interviews specially with new practice of USCIS. USCIS treating all applicants lairs, until proofing otherwise.

Around mid July of 2023, I had met with Gene Adkins from Hitchcock Law PLLC to formally sign the appropriate papers to be filed with the courts to establish my deceased grandmothers estate. Up until this point, all interactions with Gene and Hitchcock Law were timely and professional with no cause for concern. Approximately one week later 6/26/2023 Hitchcock Law deposited the $2,000 retainer check as requested and discussed during our initial in person meeting. Since sending payment to Hitchcock Law, the estate papers were filed with the court but quickly rejected due to an oversight from Gene which took place on 7/12/2023. It was not until 8/12/2023 that I had reached out for an update to be informed that there was an issue and new papers needed to be submitted; no communication on behalf of Gene or Hitchcock Law. Since then, I was told new e-sign documents would be sent over to make the requested corrections, and two months have since passed and there has been absolutely no progress. ZERO communication has been initiated by Hitchcock Law in regards to these concerns. $2,000 dollars and almost 6 moths later I am still at ground zero; a complete waste of time.
